I gotta clean my 5 gallon every 10 days that house several guppy fry.. if not it becomes very cloudy looks like a bacterial bloom but its not its due to the food70% water change food is fish flakes and i dont even over feed...that's why i like 20 gal even 10 gal ur able to get away with alot more im able to clean those once a month
What are you running for filtration? Any live plants? Are you changing out the filter cartridge and possibly crashing the cycle? I literally have to change water in my own 5 gallon once a month or less. I spend more time with top offs than water changes.
@@HopeB555 sponge filter I just believe it's the food high in protein ect I had a hob filter with one fish it was ok but having several it just gets cloudy cause food..it's only temporary until I can tell males from females and separate them
Bob looks ten times better than when you got him from the petstore. He looks as the kids would say today, SWOL as heck. I think some people cant grasp how hard it is for some Betta's to swim. Especially the ones with those big and elaborate fins. Those things are freaking heavy. Imo, I feel as if Betta's do better in small tanks 1-5gallons. They don't gotta struggle to get their food or swim to the surface to get air. Which I find they do anyways out of habit even with plenty of oxygen in the tank.
I brought home three platys from PetSmart yesterday. This morning one of them was giving birth. The mom looks like she is going to die. Would that be stress from the move? I didn’t think she was mature enough to be pregnant.

Sure a bigger tank for raising guppies is better, but this is 1 fish.
