Dear Titli,Why didn't you blind bake the pastry?I saw some liquid in the pan and i was thinking if i were to put that straight in the pie dish,wouldn't it just leave a soggy base?Correct me if i'm wrong please :) Wassalam...
When I lived not far from Seattle I used to enjoy making blackberry ice cream and blackberry cobbler! Little did I know the delicious delights were missing their near and dear friend -- the apple -- the entire time!
Looked at all Recipes for Blackberry& apple Pie, Settled on yours Glad I did ,It came out Perfect, Six people tried it All with thumbs up Get a Good Recipe And Stick with it Thank you for sharing

Would this work as well with black berries that have been frozen? I grow my own in my back yard and freeze them. The freezing process makes them really mushy and watery.

I know this is a very late response but YES it would work. I remember once in a restaurant I had an apple, pear and raspberry crumble, it was delicious.
+gixer121121 yes but it was too mushy, it's not the same as fresh. But if you just can't get your hands on fresh ones then it will do just strain it longer 😊

Nice finishing instruction on the pie, leaf design and brushing w egg wash.
@Starspell27 You can use either method to get a brown finish to the pastry. I was using the egg for another recipe on a busy baking day :-)

Aww, the season for blackberries is over where I live.
Me and my grandparents went backberry picking, we've got enough berries for pies all year round!
