Great simple recipe!! I fried up a large sliced onion first, then added liver mix to frying pan and cooked for about 15 minutes before adding the lemon juice. Absolutely delicious!!!

Now this is the proper recipe, making it with gelatine isn't Turkish delight at all, just gummy sweets with totally the wrong texture. It's a bit of a pain to cook out the corn starch because it has to be stirred constantly to prevent it burning on the bottom of the pan but well worth it. My favourite flavourings are pistachio nuts or mango syrup or pineapple syrup. One way to create really nice natural flavours is to substitute some of the sugar and water for a fruit juice, that is how the fruit flavours are done traditionally.
