Looks like motor mounts you showed in your video have different part numbers but look and feel the same. I checked the original ones (Part #G13-0069-04 - discontinued) from my TT - they are totally different and made out much softer and spongy material than those you used.
I wonder is some Rubber Renue might help the motor mounts. These look like they might be too far gone to save. I used some grommets when I fixed mine. They might be a little too stiff though because I can hear a little vibration when the stylus hits the record.
I am currently in possession of one of these and ordered belt/cartridge. Only issue is the auto return… surprisingly my issue is it works TOO well. Like when I put it in play the auto return mechanism instantly returns the needle instead of playing. I can Jerry rig something with a rubber band to prevent the arm from going back. But I would like it to be properly repaired. Imma look at this video and check if you touch on this at all.
So that is a different turntable mechanism I ever seen very different! So the counter weight is a little worn out also! That cartridge looked like a LP120 cartridge The VM-95 I think that is what they used! So the turntable needs some new parts and then it will be good to go for another few years! Thanks for the video was educational!
hi, can the capacitors induce noise to the music, i here some strage noises from my KD-2055, If so, what is the value of the capacitor that I would have to put, in mine it is covered with a plastic and it does not let me read the values, regards. P.S: great video
I have a KD-2000 which I assume is very similar to 2055? my problem is: at the end of the record, the arm lifts off and returns as it is supposed to, BUT the PLATTER keeps spinning. Any ideas what causes this? If I press CUT button in the MIDDLE of a record, everything is normal (arm returns, AND the platter stops). It is only at the natural END of a record that the platter keeps going even after the arm has auto-returned. Thanks IA
@@TurntableGuy Thanks for the reply. Is that something that would be in the service manual? I am a bit of a newb - any brief steps you can give me to work with? I appreciate your time.
I have been playing my record for 70 years. Dual 720 died . Now a Thoren TD160 completely modified and a new Jelco 5502 9” arm Hana ML cartridge. The mods caused the balance of the table to be unstable spring setting . Have many Cartridges. Water give a Pioneer PL 514 table. 79 now. Is there any chance you can work on my tables? In Toronto
Hi, thanks for the very helpfull video. What did you use to check te speed on it ? And how does it work? I need to adjust mine. It's a tad slow. And where do i get a good belt for my kd 2055? Thanks
How did you get the arm to drop without turning the platter on to play? I'm trying to figure out how use a stylus gauge to weigh it, but the arm won't drop.
Tnx for sharing, I am working on a KD -3055, it has a complicated cam mechanism for auto return that is driving me nuts, it moves the arm towards the rest BEFORE it lifts, very hard on a stylus. Any clues to share? I have the service manual, btw.
Nice one, I found one of these on the street, replaced the belt and greased the spindle, but the motor needs a little push to get to 33rpm. It will play a full record and return naturally. Would you figure it would be a motor mount problem?
Nice, thorough video about this "rock" turntable.
Thanks for the upload! Like last time, I have a very similar model, the KD-3055.
Thanks for the vid! Using it as reference to service my 2055 🙌

Love it!! Great Video... I have one of these I bought in 1974.. Still have it and its in the box ha ha .... I need to source out a belt for it
thank you so much for the great video
Great Tutorial thank you
Where do you get your parts? Very helpful video. TY

What kinds of upgrades could you do for a Pioneer PL570? It’s the 70’s model. Are there any mandatory areas that should be addressed?
That was extremely helpful. Thank you very much.

The cartridge is an AT71E

Check to see that the motor actuator micro switch is turning off.

Kenwood KD-47F Belt Drive Turntable 75.00 is this wort it? And is there a rebuild kit for it ? I’m a geek

Easiest way to check speed is to download an app for your phone. thakker.eu sells good quality belts.
There is no speed adjustment in this turntables?
I changed my belt-twice now-and the turn table runs too fast. What can I do to run at the correct speed?
Actually, I took the belt off and cleaned the drive spindle the belt goes on and now the turn table runs perfect.

Try putting it in play mode, then pull the power cord.
Great video, but I'd need more info about that cut switch as it only goes back 1/2 way.

Try increasing the height of the arm lift under the tonearm.
@@TurntableGuy It actually lifts to correct height, albeit slowly.
Hi.
I have cec bd7000 turntable, I hear the sound only from the left channel... is it the head need to be replaced?
You need to check the entire length of tonearm cabling from the headshell all the way back to the RCA plugs.
@@TurntableGuy check with multi meter for continuity
HI ..I NEED KENWOOD KS-3000 TURNTABLE DIAGRAM
mine plays for 10 minutes than bogs down what could cause this ?
Service the motor, check the power supply capacitors.
I have one I’m willing to sell if anyone is interested in buying it
It’s kenwood kD-2055
Trusty pliers ??? NEVER , walk to the garage and get the 1/4 inch drive & socket
You’re right, pliers for nuts, that’s just gash.

Motor mounts have nothing to do with the speed. Service the motor.
