Great memories of my 14th birthday in 1991 when I was in middle school in 7th Grade.🥰😍🤩😋😊
I remember the CLIP that I saw on Canal + (encrypted private channel) in the TOP 50 and TOP ALBUMS rankings.
The group returned with a new female singer called Reggie or Rejane Magloire.
I loved this song and even bought the single cassette (or 2-track K7) at the time, a brand new medium in France which was going to replace the 45 rpm record.
I even recorded the Extended Version (12") on a cassette on NRJ radio (radio for teens and young adults) on Saturday evening during a club hits ranking show.
It's even better than the 7" single with some additional elements, a slightly longer instrumental break and a different ending with "yeah yeah yeah yeah".
I also bought their album "Body To Body" (on cassette then CD) and there were also the other singles: Work and Money Makes The World Go Round which I also bought on single cassette because they were different from the album .
A track in this album which is very good and never released as a single (I don't know why): Get It Started, most certainly a promotional error or choice because it could have been a HIT.😊😉

Hi Dereck! Thanks for your react on Technotronic feat.Reggie. This song "Move That Body" was released on May 10, 1991 as the first single from their second album "Body To Body", ranked no.25 on the TOP 50 in France.
The title was also very successful in Europe: no.10 in Switzerland, no.19 in Germany, no.14 in Spain, no.20 in Belgium, no.8 in Finland, no.9 in Denmark, no.3 in Ireland, no.12 in UK Singles, no.13 in UK Dance, no.27 in Australia (outside Europe).
Other Technotronic hits to discover: “Pump up The Jam” (1989) feat.Felly, “Move This” feat.Ya Kid K (1989), “Get Up!(Before The Night Is Over)” feat. Ya Kid K (1990), "This Beat Is Technotronic" feat. Mc Eric (1990), "Megamix" (1990), "Rockin' Over The Beat" feat. Ya Kid K (1990): 2 versions exist (Radio and Manchester 7" Remix); "Turn It Up" feat. Melissa & Einstein (1990).
For this "Move That Body" album : "Work" (1991) and "Money Makes The World Go Round (7" Remix)" (1991).
Thanks for your amazing job our American buddy. 👍🇫🇷

The backstory of Technotronic is really interesting on its own. Basicly they were surpised by their own success, and bluffed their way into the big league. They pumped out their first album in just a few weeks upon the request of their label. Only with basic Gear, a good looking artist for the clips, a good studio artist to do the actual singing and a Belgian producer who kept them going. The reason this song has the "ft Reggie", is actually because Reggie (the studio Singer) actually wanted to move into the spotlight and end the lie.

Pump Up The Jam very well known even if he has certainly never seen the CLIP but it is also good to know other songs of the group sometimes I find "underestimated" while this one isn't bad at all and has nevertheless had success in most of Europe.

@@Triamaster not really a part. She was just a dancer when Kamosi was the lead vocal. After Kamosi left the belgium Technotronic producteurs was looking for someone who had the groove, the flow and could EVENTUALY sing. When casting was, and because she knew well the producers, she was choosen.
But it's not the Technotronic base Line UP: not the same voice, not the same beat, not the same groove, so not the same hits. That's why it's Fake, even u are right for the second part.
