Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at a PATREON request with Images "Les Démons de Minuit." A fantastic 80's synth-pop song fueled with explosive sounds and great instrumentation. But let's not forget about stunning lead vocals by Images. This one will stick around for awhile!

@@MrPedro9128 Oui entièrement d'accord... pour ceux qui n'auraient pas compris, sans nier la sincérité de Dereck sur ses réactions en elle-même ça capitalise à mort sur le nombre de vues que font les titres français sur sa chaîne. Y'en aurait beaucoup moins s'ils faisaient 200 vues. Mais bon regardons le côté positif des choses ça fait peut-être découvrir des choses à certains!

C'est trop marrant de le voir devenir dingue pour une chanson que chaque français a déjà entendu un milliard de fois!
Y a tellement de chaînes qui font ce genre de vidéos que la surenchère de la suréaction est devenu un cirque ^^ C'est vrai que c'est amusant, mais quand il s'agit de music internationalement connu et qu'ils réagissent comme si c'était la première fois pour eux, ça sent vraiment le gros mensonge ^^ Depuis peu j m'amuse aussi à regarder les react sur les films d'horreur (exorciste par exemple), c'est amusant aussi :)
J'aime pas trop ces chaînes Reacts... Mais celle de Dereck est plus intéressante que les autres parce qu'il a des goûts larges qu'on voit pas dans les autres chaînes similaires . J'avais découvert ce genre de chaînes avec "je suis malade" de Lara Fabian. Y en a un qui l'a fait et depuis y en a plusieurs dizaines qui ont fait leur réaction de "je suis malade" , c'est hallucinant ! Y en a bcp qui sur-réagisse, qui en font des caisses pour se faire remarquer. Dereck est très réactif (sans mauvais jeu de mot) mais je pense pas qu'il joue la comédie. J'ai pas encore regardé de reacts... sur des films. Faudrait que j'essaie, j'avais vu "Forrest Gump" en suggestion... Pourquoi pas ?

Je pense que j'ai réagit comme lui en ce jour de juin 1986 ou j'ai entendu pour la première fois ce titre a la radio, je me souviens du frisson que j'ai ressenti au premier refrain ,j'avais 12 ans et je me souviens avoir penser que cette chanson n'était pas comme les autres, elle est entré la semaine suivante directement 4 eme au top 50 canal+ pour prendre la première place 7 jours plus tard et ne plus la quitter jusque mi octobre 4 mois plus tard âpres 13 semaines a la première place, cela fait 36 ans cette année je ressens toujours autant de plaisir a l'entendre aujourd'hui, elle passe dans toutes les soirees de france!!

That’s a guy singing actually! And the band still tours with another French 80s band’s singer called Emile from « Gold » (that was the name of the other band), they were two of the biggest bands of the 80s in France for some time.
En fait c'est Emile de Gold qui tourne avec Images. La formation s'appelle Emile & Images.

"Hit" for that song in France is an understatement. Also I'm surprised that nobody asks a reaction to Jean Jacques Goldman music. Not that I'm a fan myself but it's so iconic of those years.

Yep, another rabbit hole ! So many hits, JJG is easily the most popular french singer, composer, song writer of french music during over 30 years. "Je te donne", "Je marche seul", "il suffira d'un signe", "envole moi", au bout de mes rêves", etc... these are just for his 80's period.
And he composed and wrote "D'eux" for Céline Dion, it is called "the french album" in USA. A lot of hit singles in it, some of them also have an English version but there are titles like "J'irais où tu iras" in duo with JJG

When I read the titles of your videos, some of them don't ring a bell but then I see the number of views and wonder if I actually know the song. I clicked on this one by curiosity and of course, I remember this song! I was just a kid in the 80's so there are a lot of song titles/artists I can't remember but recognize right away in the first seconds of listening. I think all of us who have lived through the 80's want to take that time machine and never come back to the future. It was such a magical era.

hi Dereck, the singer Mario has a great voice and I used to see him when I was a kid. He was the husband of my grand mother's neighbor. They come from my hometown Toulouse. In the 80's a lot of great artists came from Toulouse with hits. Amongst them there was a band named Gold which the singer Emile paired with Images covering both bands hits.

Le Hit des hits. Ma chanson préféré pour danser. Le clip avait fait scandale à l'époque.
Aujourd'hui, 2 membres du groupe "Image" continue de chanter en compagnie de Emile, ancien chanteur du goupe Gold. Les 2 groupes venaient de la même ville et avaient du succès en même temps. Maintenant, ils chantent leurs chansons en commun.
Je conseille donc d'essayer des chansons du groupe Gold. Pour le son, on appelait ça le son de "Toulouse", celui de leur ville d'origine.

So I recommend trying songs from the Gold band. For the sound, we called it the sound of "Toulouse", that of their hometown.

Bonjour dereck ce titre tournait en boucle dans les clubs et on s'amusait à le jouer en phasing, effet très sollicité dans les années 80... Ecoutes l'affaire louis trio avec "chic planete" ou "tout mais pas ça".

This song was released 5 years before I was born, but I grew up with it like most of the 90s French kids. Even today's generation knows this song. I have like 5 different versions of it, needless to say it's my favorite song ever. 3 seconds in, I'm already gone 😂

The band changed name after reuniting with another band named Gold, witch leader was Emile. The new band is now Emile and Images and sings both band's songs

You should watch one of their current lives of the same song. After nearly 40 years they hit the high notes even better and they perform better. That's quite impressive. I used to hate that sound because heard too many times but I saw them few months ago on TV and they slayed it.
