I love those sandbars.
When I had my business in Pinas, I used to take weekend trips to Siargao to go surfing. I heard it's really crowded now. But back then, there were sandbars near Siargao during low tides and I used to paddle over the sandbars to take breaks and enjoy the scenery.
The Philippines is truly a gem. It's still mostly untouched, but with social media, YT and vloggers, it's becoming more & more popular.
When I was a little girl, my family and I used to go to Boracay for family vacations and we'd be the only non-natives there. We're city folks.
The Atis - who were the natives in Boracay used to welcome us with open arms and we used to rent this 2 bedroom place and over 20 of my family & I would squeeze into that small place for about a week. It was fun. We used to be the only people in the whole beach and I used to play with the local kids from sunrise to sunset. I have lovely memories of Boracay as a little girl.
I don't want Philippines to be ruined like Bali.

That's one of my early entries on my bucket list. That island got too crowded. Otherwise, I'd spend a few days days/nights on it. We used to get intentionally marooned for days on one of the islands at Hundred Islands up in Pangasinan back in the day; just our group and nobody else...and we didn't need no stinkin' tent. We just pitched up a couple of old round parachutes. Speaking of parachutes, it looks like I'll be spending most of the time (or maybe even settling) in Santa Fe on Bantayan Island whenever I get there. I found out that there's an active USPA-affiliated skydiving DZ (tandem jumps offered for you whuffos) at the airport. Skydiving in paradise and swoop-landing on the white sand beach it is then. So, how's your X4. A lot of users have been pissed due to the never-ending issues. I'm sticking with the X3 as it is smaller and lighter and therefore easier to handle during a skydive freefall.

You can get tents at the Tourist Office or on the island. Either way

@@CarefreeChris Thx Chris! I have a tent, I just meant did you have to pay for a reservation or did they just let you show up and camp? As many times as I have been there I am always amazed at how these places are not packed with people. :)

I'm curious about the cost for this trip. I was actually looking at this island on Google Maps last week. One of the reviews said there is a 1,000 peso environmental fee for foreigners. Did you have to pay that?
I think a cost breakdown video of this one and similar trips for foreigners would be nice. 👍
I had a party of 7 with me and it was about 8k for the trip. That's food, tents, and transportation
Hey @bj5083 yes, you have to pay 1500 per foreigner for entrance fee in tourism but if you have an ID which you're in cebu or other places in Philippines you will have a discounts. Instead of 1500 probably 450 just like what we did with Chris. And the boat expenses depends how many are you in a boat it's either you're a filipino or foreigners. And for the tents and all, you can bring if you want to save money because sometimes people there take advantage of you because you're a foreigner and offer you way more expensive like tents, instead of 200 for 2people they will offer you 300 or more. Just let me know if you still have questions 😉
