Wow when I was in high school I used a cc tv they have come a long way I'm so happy to see this video God bless your all for what you do
Thank you so much!
This is great! Thanks for the video again
And now I want one. 😢👍🏽
Sam that is an amazing product. I bought a used CCTV at a pawn shop couple of months ago the topaz EZ, it has a flat panel and you can attach your computer to it as well but man to have that sitting on my desk would be awesome not sure the cost but I'm sure it's pretty expensive my CCTV does not do distance it's a fixed camera that only focuses down on the document and there is no OCR reader built in what I use for that is knfb reader app on my tablet and phone.
+bluetech7753 that’s awesome that you found a use CCTV! I often tell people to search for used devices, you can get great deals that way!
Hi Sam, now this gadget seems to be working better than most I have seen. Any idea what it costs?
+Kariem Bapoo not sure, I put Greg’s contact information in the description so you could send him an email if you were interested.
Hi Sam.
I was wondering does the Onyx have hey traveling cc TV?
Can this be connected to a relative high speed scanner, ie., ScanSnap, to store or read large number of ocr scanned documents?
+akaimon3 you have to email Greg about that. I only had a few minutes to see it at a convention so not sure of all the things it can do.
Does this read cursive writing?
Unfortunately, I don’t have any way to test that because I don’t have the device anymore. However, I would think that it probably does not read cursive writing as most OCR devices struggle with hand writing.
@@theblindlife Thank you so much.
Nice...too bad this software can not be used with Iris glasses so one is not tethered to a stationary point. Let me guess...price for this $3000-5000?
+akaimon3 not sure about the price. Also it wouldn’t surprise me if Iris added OCR in a future update!
Sam, did you purchase the Iris Vision glasses?
+akaimon3 I didn’t purchase a pair but I have access to one through my job
Our vision is similar but mine is more pronounced. I’ve demo these and really loved them. That being said, you have obviously had more experience long term. What’s your gut opinion? Is yourStste purchasing them for the consumers?
