Andre Miller was so underrated
I remember the B Roy era was ending and he was my favorite player at the time so I was hopeful for a comeback.
I really got to see how good Andre Miller really was for a guy that couldn’t jump over a piece of paper!
52 points against the Mavs I watched live and that dude was hitting every pull up mid range had post work with great footwork to match! VERY good player and very underrated indeed!
Andre miller was one of my favorite players ever. I figured my game after him.
True, dude was smart AF and would often get himself and his teamm8s easy baskets...he was never flashy but was alao clutch when needed
So Underrated. That boy was good!
Most reliable player ever. If I played fantasy nba, he would be a must draft every year
The most casual high level basketball conversations I’ve ever heard lol
A few quick highlight packages (3-5 second each) of floppy actions - Iggy getting easy buckets, Evan chasing and his man curling for a layup with no big help - would turn this clip from an 8/10 to a 10/10.
That would mean putting former teammates on blast visually
Exactly. These videos without videos are kinda pointless unless the viewer has played in the NBA or at least in college.
@@kelleyeidem667 eeehm no, I want to learn....even if I don't understand it yet.....or never
@@kelleyeidem667I found out about Floppy from 2k and CZcams. Very simple action.
@@kelleyeidem667 idk about that, I only played in HS but floppy is basically an option of a single screen on one side and a double on the other. And if the defenders hedge too much you can back cut for a layup, if they don't at all you could get space for a middy or curl it like JJ said for an easy layup if the big is oblivious.
He was a starter until the very end of his career. He also LED the league in assists when he was with the Cavs. Everyone knew he was a classic PG with great post-skills.
This is very true. Andre Miller is a basketball genius and a quiet gangsta who is also one of the nicest people you’d ever meet. Great teammate!
Julius hodge in the building
Andre Miller faking a timeout and scoring is legendary (both times)
Andre Miller is one of my all time favorites. I can't wait to see Jalen Pickett play for the Nuggets because he reminds me so much of Andre.
if he gets any minutes
I really hope Pickett can overtake Reggie as a good bench pg
He was one of the first and few players to give Father Time a run for his money lol
Read my mind
Evan Turners voice cracks me the hell up 😭
lil yachty
Sounds like he has saliva in his throat or his nose is clogged.
He sounds like Grape ape
Andre Miller had some crazy post up moves too.
I still remember Brian Shaw (worst coach in nuggets history?) doing him dirty by not putting him in the game and breaking his record for most consecutive games played.
The most hater moment in nba history
nah man go back to the short lived Bill Hanzlik era, or take your pick of Dan Issels two terms.
@@bronsonbamnallen1633bro nobody either knows or cares about those guys
@@MitchellBahamasfr though
Definitely need a white board on set. Would love to see you guys talk plays.
Miller was an underrated bucket getter & facilitator. Not talked about enough
Evan turner sounds like meatwad from aqua team hunger force but with a deeper voice
Yooooooooooooooo you put words to that I’ve been trying to figure out for years.
I was trying to put a pin on who he sounded like but you hit the nail on the head. Spot on.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Andre Miller was a handful... Gave me my first welcome to pro basketball moment. Underrated as an athlete as well. Never really used it but he had a unexpected burst.
Where'd you play against him? I met him by chance in San Diego with his fam..
Why you lyin?
@@arkonos4406He said pro…..probably talking about overseas.
What I remember about Andre Miller was that he did not jump. One man fast break? He's hoping 6 inches in the air for an old man layup. Dude even did that during his all star weekend rookie sophomore game if I remember right and they booed him, but he was smart as hell and protected his knees to have a nice long career
This is the high level basketball conversation that I come here for
Glad to hear players praying Rondo's mind in todays game
In Andre Millers stint with the Wizards, he was the perfect backup for John Wall. I saw John’s game game so much with his mentorship
any young men playing organized basketball that pay attention to and soak up conversations like this will have a major advantage. these are retired young vets that love the game and now have a platform to discuss the science behind pro ball. these are players that had good careers and now their bodies are unable to perform at that level but their mind is sharper than it ever was. unfortunately thats sports...your job becomes mentally easier but the body cant keep up.
ages 18-25 jumps higher, moves quicker, recovers faster but you don't know and/or not focused on the x's & o's
ages 26-33 best chance and time for physical and mental to converge. man body sets in, seasoned player. understanding and applying more discipline in life.
ages 34-37 slowed down physically, unable to contribute consistently. but what youve learned in the past 15 years keeps you valuable.
thats the arc of a typical nba player with a good career. im the same age as these guys. the same age as lebron. i know how they feel about their craft, the way they talk about it. anyone doing a job for 20 years talks about their work the same way. all the decisions we made as young men leading up til now and what we couldve done different to be better at this or that. thats why we all respect lbj for doing what hes doing at the level that hes doing it.
I love this. Andre miller was one of my favorite players. He deserves the respect. One of the best facilitators and no waste, no nonsense playmakers in the league. Salute to Andre miller
Evan Turner sounds like lil yachty with a sore throat and stuffy nose
Pure passer Andre man, wouldn’t say he’s underrated because he definitely had the hype. True definition of a team player, never looked to score unless he had it open
thanks for the visual JJ
andre miller is one of those players that only certain people can appreciate. the guy was so consistent
4:38 I still have a mind of a child because this drawing and him saying there’s floppy action got me crying laughing 😂😂😂😂😂
Loved this clip start to finish
Hearing Iggy say himself is a non shooter my head immediately jumps to "I want Iggidalla!!"
Lmao that “what you see” just brought back memories I forgot I had😂😂😂 Andre Miller was my coach back in the day when he had his AAU team & that was like his catch phrase 💀but also when he say that… u know he finna show you some that’s 1000 iq
Cool to see players like Andre get love. So many players not just NBA but know they got that teammate that just gives you great info and just I always collected.
I’m sure there’s room in the podcast budget for a clipboard, and we’re all here for bench huddles with JJ
Love this type of basketball content
Andre Miller went to verb. We both went to the same school. It was a good brother, always quiet. Most likely to succeed.
Right on to that brother respect. Verb is off of Central and Lanzit in the city of watts ca
im laughing because iggy wanted say “he was a real nigga” but he ain’t wanna say like that on cam 😂😂😂😂
LMAO! I love how you guys break down the plays and the camera zoom in cracks me up 😂
Andre Miller one of my favorite Nuggets of all times balled out for us both stints!
Love this podcast.
"all red tracksuit with nothing on it" LMAO
Stopped the clip halfway through to look up floppy action, get a visual for all the analysis...not 30 seconds later, JJ has diagrammed it for the class. Top shelf.
Andre Miller ran the blazers for so many years. So many free lobs. I used to think Aldridge was good at dunking but he stopped when Andre left so no it was just Andre
Loved the Andre Miller interview on knuckleheads. I was in shock lol
JJ drawing the Floppy diagram 💯💯💯
I loved Andre Miller on the Blazers. I still remember that crazy game whete he dropped 52 on the Mavs while making just one three ball, and that time he dunked for the first time in years against the Nuggets.
I’m happy to see Andre miller gettin some love he was a amazing player
He wanted to say they were real 🥷🏾's so bad 😂
Loved watching Andre Miller on the Nuggets. A real post genius at the PG position
I loved watching Andre Miller when he was on the Nuggets playing against the Lakers in the western finals, he was great
Andre Miller had that old head YMCA game.
Andre Miller taught me to pass, and it was the only thing I was ever above average at.
Y’all three need to keep it going!! Big FACTS!!! 💪
JJ Redick is smart as hell he knows the game, he a prolly be a great coach 💯
I encouraged that trade as much as I could to trade for Andre Miller we needed a smart point guard. We never knew how good Andre Iguodala and Kyle Korver were until Andre arrived in Philadelphia
Please please show more plays
Andre Miller still one of my favorite guards can't wait till he get a nba head coaching job
This content is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Andre Miller one of the most underrated and most durable point guards ever. Dude barely missed a game
Protecting his knees and body by never playing vertical was the reason
Andre Iguodala belongs in the HOF, classic case of someone who could’ve averaged 30 but played the game at such an elite level from All angles, even developed his weak jump shooting into a strength in his later years.
Andre could NOT average 30 🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢
Andre Miller should be a hall of Famer - college and professional career combined.
I’m glad Andre got some love. People forget him but he was solid.
I don't even watch beginning of games no more. I cannot explain the level of laughter that erupts when we see players walking in like its a fashion show. Bro your playing basketball the back floor isn't a runway lol 😂😂
andre miller a true point guard not a shooting guard masquerade as a point
He did drop 50 that one time
Facts
@@YoItzHailthats what made it extra crazy. Him?!!
Andre Miller is probably the most underrated Nugget ever. Such an amazing point guard.
Andre miller couldn’t shoot and couldn’t jump but he still played as a starter for over a decade and averaged 17 in a season
I think we can agree that Evan Turner sounds like Lil Yatchy 😂
The thing about Andre Miller is that he's sneakily quick too, hella shifty.
Love Andre Miller. Criminally under rated player. Had he been a starter his entire career we would have seen him make all star teams and maybe make it to the hall. Funny thing about Miller. Early in his career he was third in the league in assists and leading the league in assist to turnover ratio as the starting PG in Philly. Pretty good numbers from what you would consider a "pure point guard". He got traded to Portland and the announcers were talking about Miller as more of a scorer than a point guard.....WTF? That stuck with him his entire career. The dude was a legit facilitator.
then he dropped a 50 piece who woulda thought
Andre Miller is probably my fave PG from that late 90s/00s era. Him and Baron Davis. Dude was the Tim Duncan of PGs,. Quiet, not as flashy or athletic but he was so smart and good at his position. I'm shocked he never won a ring with that Nuggets team. They were just too young for the moment. I feel like he has a championship quality to him, just never went to great teams.
Andre bought weed from me the day they were eliminated from the playoffs in Portland. Pretended to know how to play guitar too 😂❤
This is like the humble and smart version of Gil's Arena
Those are my favorite brand of guard: Andre Miller, Chauncey, Kyle Lowry... intelligent, resourceful, not flashy but in complete control of the game
Andre Miller got a lot of guys their career highs and fatter checks. The only pass first point guard to score 50 points I can think of
Andres 51 point game is still the most random thing I have ever seen on a basketball court.
Truth though, I always thought he would make a great coach. Curious why he didnt take that route after retiring.
He also a massive dunk on a break while old as hell in Portland that shocked all of us Blazer fans. Loved him in Portland.
Corey Brewer 51 was absurd. 51pts, all outlets 💀💀💀
The professor is a legend. All time, great, Nugget.
Floppy really is a simple but versatile play like the horns set
Andre Miller was so underrated. As a Sixers fan I remember watching him and Iggy play together after they traded Iverson for Miller, so I'm not surprised Iggy brought his name up here.
andre miller is esoteric
Andre Miller is a true HOF
Andre miller was so much fun to watch for real hoops fans. Slow as my grandma and still got to his spots a lot like Stockton
I always wondered how JJ got so open on those layups in Orlando.
I thought Andre Miller would be a coach someday. He is so vocal and always talk to his teammates and even opponents. Kobe respect him so much and they always talk when theres a free throws. Where is he now? He shouls be an assistant coach by now.
Agreed he belongs on the sidelines
I love that igie and Evan turner made a podcast and they don’t see how unironic that is 🤣
When i was in college, our coach used to have a session with our pgs to watch film on Andre Miller
I like how they broke down the game - you dont see that in mainstream😊
andre's shirt is fresh
Andre Miller had a basketball mind! Redick is way better here than on ESPN where he is censored.
Man I’m eating!!😻🙌🏽😻🙌🏽😻🙌🏽
if iggy does retire, i hope the warriors retain him with a coaching position. still so much to give to the game
Iggy wanted to say that those were some real knee growths
Andre Miller the NBA Iron Man
JJ realising they should've just stayed underneath the basket lol
Andre Miller, Rajón Rondo, J Kidd, Kobe
They should implement some type of digital view of the plays they talk about
Yeah please add clips to these in editing
i gotta ask... why do they pronounce "ask" as "aks"?
Andre Miller was always a good point guard
Remember watching Miller as freshman leading Utah in NCAA tournament with Michael Doleac, Keith Van Horn and coach Majerus. He was even smart then…left Watts for the whitest of states…he’s no dummy.
Andre Miller!!!! Quiet Miami Heat acqusition in 2010. Could have made a difference if the Heat paid him to stay.
Best lob passer I've ever seen
2:34 - E.T. says "he just went viral a couple weeks ago." Anyone know what he's referring to?
I think hes refering to the JJ episode with Rondo and the clip of how he and LeBron discect the 2020 finals
@@nicolaslomonaco7086 That would make sense. Gracias, brother.
Corner store track suits is what Iggy was talking bout lol.
I still remember when andre carried the blazers in the playoffs ans scores a 50 game
Chemistry is amazing 🎉
