It’s tough to choose but if we add context , I’m going klay. Yes curry is the greatest shooter , lillard has the craziest range and melo is a mid range assassin…. But Klay easily had the 3 best shooting performances in nba history:
    1. Nba record 14 3 pointers
    2. Nba record 37 points in a quarter
    3. 60 points on 11 dribbles

The question should encompass who can be guarded when hot! Of the 4 which one would you say to yourself, "I cannot guard this guy when he is hot." Klay doesn't dribble. Runs off screens. With a switching defense, can be neutralized off the catch and shoot. Same with Steph. Steph does dribble usually gets shot off picks. Blitz the pick with a trap. Dame does not move without the ball. Guard him from the moment the ball is passed inbounds to him. Carmelo is un-guardable when hot! Can shoot off the catch, can shoot off the dribble. Moves without the ball, post up game, physical offensive player, quick shot and bigger. You may feel you have a chance to cool off the other 3 but Carmelo is too big, too strong.

Curry no question! Much love to Klay but the reason he got those high point games is because of who was on the floor with him. He was the second or third option. If u got Klay bustin 60 in three quarters, and not lockin him down, its because Steph is so dangerous that he requires two or more defenders on him. He is so dangerous that the opposing team cant afford to even let him get hot. And yet he still does make 9 threes in 30 or more games. It's Klay no argument, you can't use points as a deciding factor because in Klay's 14 3s record against the Bulls. He went to the locker room in the 3rd quarter with 4 minutes left. You think if Kerr let him play until he couldn't anymore he wouldn't have dropped 30 threes? His career high is 60 points where he only played 29 minutes! He can do the most with the least time, that's the definition of hot to me. Really the 37 in a quarter should be enough said but some people just love to argue. Curry holding the record for most 20 point quarters beating even Kobe can be debated for #1 but that's more getting hot consistently. When Klay is hot he's on fucking fire.

It’s crazy that when LeBron says he’s hurt and still plays ppl say he’s not really hurt, even if he has a bad game bc of it. When steph says he’s hurt and has a great game, ppl say “look how amazing he plays even while hurt” 💀 People were saying LeBron made up that foot injury last yr 😂 even tho he was dunking before the injury and wasn’t as much after.

Being hot is not only about putting the ball into the basket, Curry when hot will do it all on offense

I disagree when someone dishing 7 consecutive assists I don't think "damn he's hot rn" but when someone even hits 3 shots in a row I think they heating up. Talking about how hot someone can get is different from who's better

you know damn well when Curry is hot he does not throw regular assist, the court becomes the cirque du soleil, he starts dancing, trolling, letting the crowd know he's on fire, even the team mates on the court becomes on fire when he is.

    1. Klay's hot is nuclear level. There's a reason he has 37 in a quarter, 60 in 3 quarters off 11 dribbles. 14 3s (NBA regular season record), 12 3s in the playoffs (playoiff record).
    2. Steph
    3.Dame
    4. Melo

Dame had the most efficient 60 and 70 point game and on top of that the greatest shooting performance ever (55 vs denver). It is easily Dame, Dame had a whole team including the coaching staff annoyed

when kyrie get hot he is arguably the greatest player of all time you have 0 chance to stop him and monte ellis and brandon roy would go crazy right now

    • @patrick05Morgan
      @patrick05Morgan Před 11 měsíci +4

Bro not even close. Klay isn’t even ball dominant and even his career high is higher and more impressive than kyrie’s. Kyrie doesn’t go as crazy as these other guys when he gets hot. He stops around 40 most of the time. The other guys keep going.

@@patrick05Morgan I see what u saying either one u can't go wrong but I rather guard klay and know what he's going to do than kyrie who has unlimited bags to give you.

Y’all do realize most of kyrie bag is gonna lead to 2 point shots right, he can shoot but it’s steph n klay however u want it, if they hot they putting up 3s all game that’s more points which is why they been winning for so long and it makes them more dangerous

Klay when hot is the only real answer most in a quarter while having Steph on the court and still taking shots. Klay when hot shoots so fast and goes back and defends you lol

Id say Jordan. He sustains hot scoring over entire seasons, playoff series. Other dues get hot 1 every 3-4 games, have a few down games than pick it back up. Jordan, would get multiple games in a row in the playoffs or finals, dropping 40-50 plus, back to back games. And during the kate 80s early 90s, he'd just hit middy after middy after middy, get to the rim dunk on your center, make a few flashy hanging layups then hit the game winner. And he was so fast and agile he could get to his spot whenever he wants. Other players passed out of double teams jordan just rose up over them and let it fly. He'd sustain a 32 ppg average over a season on 50% + from the field, then INCREASE HIS PPG average over a playoff run going for 37-40 ppg over a series, not a singular game. Jordan would drop 60, then 49, then 52, then 38, then 50 over the course of a road trip 😂. Then he'd have a bad game or two then go right back to dropping 40+. And his mid range fadeaway, whether in the post or off the pull up was damn near automatic. Had multiple games of scoring 17-20+ in the fourth quarter because someone talked shit to him at halftime or something. So im going jordan. His hotness would be sustained over long stretches of time from like February through may/june. Everyone else on this list is giving you a game or two out of a series where they drop 40 plus. Jordan averaged 42 ppg in a finals series back to back 40 games and a double nickel game.

A lot of words but ultimately being able to score heavily isn't getting hot Jordan is the best scorer ever but getting hot is when you chuck everything up and it's going in so the easy example is Klay's 37 in a quarter everything went in during that quarter he went 13 for 13 including 9 3's it's like being on fire in NBA Jam it lasts for a limited period of time during

Klay easily. The offensive flow doesn’t change when he’s hot. You don’t have to funnel anything through him, iso him or even run plays for him. His heat is perfectly integrated in the offense so nobody has to sacrifice anything

  • @thahoopstrategist

This is a tough one. I think the answer is: Steph, Dame, Klay, Melo. Steph is still at his peak, he can do everything Klay does plus more. Dame the same way, the more versatile you are the harder is to guard.

Curry’s is the deadliest but at times he can cool his self off bc the more he makes the deeper he shoots, klay is the most consistent hot shooter bc he’s gonna continue shooting spot ups, but w Steph it’s not just that he gets hot it’s how he does it (shimmys, look aways, etc.) it’s a show (not saying the others don’t put on a show)
