This is an incredible way of life - absolutely exquisite and enchanting. Pretty villages, meandering rivers and towering castles. And to top it off you can eat and drink to your hearts content like a connoisseur.

Nice video. Just one correction, the Dordogne isn't the longest River in France, it's only the 6th longest (483km). The Loire is twice as long (1012km).
Dewey Markham unexpectedly died in November 2021.

Due to COVID19? It seems he lived a good life.
Do you know there's Amy group tours to this region? I'm a solo traveler who doesn't drive in foreign country. My visits were mostly Paris, Lyons, Nice with lots of public transportation

interestingly, there is a bridge across the Loire, it is called "Le pont de Pouilly-sur-Loire" and it states that it is placed exactly 496km from the source and 496km from the mouth of the river.

The city looks pitoresque but the vine is matter of individual taste.

Fab video marred by over dub on the sound - utterly distracting.
