It's crazy because it doesn't say it on the packaging. The only reason I saw it was because I couldn't figure why it had some extra mechanism in the knife.
I carry mine the same way I worked in machine shop and carrying a 6-1 since they can out . I always carried a set of bits Milwaukee metric Allen's and some torx bits and cobra xs pliers . And small Craftsman ratchet. And malco and I could take apart and panel or work on a machine and change if i was a few builds away from my tool box. I also carried a streamlight stylus pro pen light. With those tools you can figure out what you need next .but now in in school for HVAC and starting a job in bio medical engineering for a hospital .
im finally getting into apartment maintenance, transitioning from backstretch/facilities maintenance.. you've been my go-to guy and im building a bag (i didn't mean to lie when i told them i had my own tools) but you've got me looking up these leathermans brotha
You'll definitely like the leatherman, I have tried to trim all the unnecessary weight in my bag but still keep it efficient. Thanks for your comment!!
I'v had one for about six weeks, about as long as I have been doing my new maintenance job and I'm liking having it on me all day along with 5 inch Knipex Cobras and my 38 year old Victorinox Swiss Champ. I may have to get a Malco flip driver too. I do feel sorry for my 154cm Gerber Gator that I carried for years, ever since the Fast Back it sits on my desk with nothing to do all week.
@@MaintenanceManNarratives I forgot, I'v used my Olight SR1 Baton ll 10 or 15 times on the job too. It all fits easily in carpenter jeans along with wallet, keys and room for another small to medium size tool or two and still be able to get in and out and drive a truck without having to unload. I have been using suspenders, but I'v never used them in the summer before so we'll see how that goes especially since I'v been told I will be the landscape/lawn mowing guy on the maintenance crew once my boss thinks I'm up to speed with all the locations, about 25, the sewage plant at the main facility and he thinks I'm ready for on call.
@@MaintenanceManNarratives The correct pliers are the knipex water pump pliers, not needle nose. The needle nose pliers on the leatherman are not really needle nose anyway. They are more like radio pliers or chain nose.
This is the link for the multi tool

I’ve gone through three of these bad boys, and was oblivious of this secret space!

That's definitely a great edc!! Good luck in your new job!!

Sounds like you carry the perfect setup. I do think the malco would complete it.. thanks for commenting

@@johnossendorf9979 😬 you're definitely set up to be efficient and like to have good/ proper tools. You definitely have an amazing edc setup
I love this tool! I think the onboard storage of the extra blade kicks it up to the next level. Amazing value for $20
It really does!! I'm just amazed that it's kind of a hidden feature.. but I love it!!
you do not need a leatherman, it is stupid and pointless. carry victorinox if you need a multi tool, and a separate pair of pliers.
I never found a victorinox that would be good for what I do and I don't want to carry a needle nose in my pockets
