On the Suzuki check the housing cup and the plate for the impeller for any groves. If you have any groves small to large. You will need to change them. You would not believe how much pressure they lose with any groves in them. I have a 140 now and he’d the 115 before and I didn’t know about it until I added a water pressure gauge on my boat. The dealer told me about it and said a few people overheated their engines when they didn’t change them.

Changing the prop from a four to a three blade prop should in theory increase the fuel consumption and the speed at which the boat gets up on the plane...

Great update thanks Troy. Be interesting to see how you manage to mount the winch to the Jeep. I've got an adjustable height galvanised bracket on mine, and did wonder if something like that would be of use to you, and run a plate up from it to mount the winch on. Lobster fot tea I guess, and a very pretty Bass. Stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍

Very true. This is why I do most of my own servicing, fixing and building pots. Keeps the costs down.

Hi Troj, you got a 10 horse Honda! My father had one on a 20ft cabin cruiser which we only used in fresh water. It was quite the quiet engine and the jenny powered up everything. Great engine. We did have an earlier boat fitted with a 25 hp Selva. Great for planing off Lulworth/Portland but the petrol consumption was disturbingly visible through the inspection window.😢
The Honda has definitely been one of the quietest engines

No the weather has been awful plus several health issues this winter have kept me from going. Apart from bass there has not been a lot about from what I'm told.
