  • The line from Exeter to Okehampton was closed in 1972, but fans of the line, with their cine cameras in hand, filming the line and the stations from around Tavistock and around Dartmoor.
    There's no narration, just simply the trains and the beautiful countryside, with a little added music.

    Sad that alot of these older lines closed. Geniunely could have been really useful in 2021.

    One of the most stupid closures of the beeching era. For the cost saving of around 10 miles of track, lost the strategic back up link between Exeter and Plymouth plus the railway to the large towns of Tavistock and Oakhampton. Would be incredibly useful now as a back up to the GW coastal route. What numpty ever thought this closure was a good idea?
