  • Travelling just on the outskirts of the Dartmoor Nation Park, the stream trains that ran from Plymouth to Tavistock and on to Launceston, proved a beautiful journey for young and old. With the motor car gaining popularity and fuel becoming cheaper, it was inevitable that the South Branch line would eventually close.
This clips makes me smile, since it has Roger, my dad, doing a ‘Hitchcock’ as a man walking through the woods. You can see a man in the first minute, with a white shirt and tie, which is what dad would always wear, even on the beach. The entire script and voice over was written by him, with the additional voice of his father, Gerald; three generations of the family working on one production.
