James, this is the one I was waiting for! Fascinating and as always extremely well produced with excellent music that sets the tone. I can appreciate just how much work goes into the research and production of this and please know it’s very much appreciated. 😊

Thank you for this! In the early 1960s we lived near Coryton church, and at least once a week as a 5 year-old I would walk down to Liddaton Halt with my mother to catch the train to Tavistock to do our shopping. Liddaton Halt was a little to the west of Coryton station, close to where you show the farm at the 6m 26s point in your (as always) fantastically-well produced video.

Excellent. I often walk around this area and stumble across signs of the former railway line.

Fantastic video! Few points....mentioned in another comment about the existence of Liddaton Halt.
Also, Lydford was not a junction in theory, it was just the location where two parallel lines, (the ex GWR Plymouth to Launceston branch line, and the ex LSWR main line from Plymouth to Exeter via Okehampton)' diverged or parted ways.
Lydford station, (not Lydford Junction), was shared by both companies, as was Lydford signal box.
Finally, Brentor station was not used by Launceston trains, it was the station used by LSWR trains. Launceston trains passed behind Brentor station.
The GWR chose to have a station at Mary Tavy, called Mary Tavy & Blackdown Halt.
The two parallel lines north of Tavistock, up to Lydford, illustrate perfectly, the rivalry and independence of both railway companies!!!!
