Powerprobe 4 came with a case but it feels pretty cheap. Looks like they cheaped out even more with the new one. The tool feels like quality tho, I like it a lot.
How does the maestro compare to the hook? Maestro doesn't seem to be listed on the website in the comparison chart. Any idea? Does it have a loading feature to do voltage drops and have an ammeter like the hook? I can't make my mind up between the hook and iv because I'd like to read amps and do voltage drops but the iv don't seem to be capable of that like the hook. If the maestro does is all that would be awesome. Thanks

I owned them since my PP3 master kit....great tools. I just sold my PP4 & purchased from AES Wave (PP Mastro) to replace it. I really need to get me PP3 back from my best friend (DYI) cause I truly miss the size but can't wait to get this new into as I am with one for a week🤮. I break it out on every electrical diagnostic I perform. I believe the app will be awesome as I am saving for the Autel Ultra right now.
Just got one of these and when I try to go into the knowledge base it just takes me to power probes website. How do you access the same knowledge base as the video?
Can you make a video about maestro's power feed test when conditions need to be present for the tool displays the arrows on the upper right conner on the Ohms mode. to enter feed test . On pp4 is easy to use that mode but on this video I was hoping to see that you show that feature on the maestro. Great videos

I've heard some of its tech was patented somewhere else, or alternately that the Snap-On EECT900 essentially is the same thing with a larger, clearer screen and different form factor, and Snap-On didn't want a similar "competitive" model to take away from their sales. Anyone's guess, and neither PP or SO is saying, so...
why not tell truth about the Mastro that the programeis not avaible from power probe is not avaiable since POWER PROBE got bought out by a chinese company
Late reply but I smoked my hook as well and tried everything to get it fixed, emailed power probe and they no longer support it in any way even if you offer to pay full price for a replacement. The Maestro does not compare to the hook but it is the only thing close to it. No more 60 amp breaker, maestro maxes at like 25 amps with only 8 amp constant.
You've said a whole bunch of nothing. You Didn't use this tool for any real time applications. All of what you said is in the directions that comes with it.

The truth is for the want of 300 or 400 bucks. If this thing saves you one afternoon in its lifetime diagnosis wise, it’s worth it…….. And you will get a lot more than that out of it …..

Whats the bluetooth range on the tool to your phone? I work on a lot of big equipment and I would like to know if it'll go 60 feet away. The bluetooth fluke meter with removable screen doesn't go far enough away

But i think they fixed that from the power probe 4 as eric o demonstrated. It wont beep until. It see less then 10ohm and zero volt for ground...by the way Keith. Have you ever hav to measure current on a 3 phase hybrid or ev motor?if yes do you know if there is any company around that make 3 phase break out lead?

It would be nice if they would put a interchangeable socket in the tool for different incandescent bulbs or resistors to do load testing of wires. How has the hot shot feature on the hook worked out for you? Cody's auto Diagnostics did a video on the hook and had issues with his.

Can it send less than 12 volts so we can check for circuit integrity so we can fried the computer like 4 volts because Innova has one that u can send 3 5 and 12 volts
Sounds like a straight infomercial. Bad look dawg. The new Mechanic - vibe of CZcams is veering towards product pushing (Power Probe, THinkDiag, etc.). I have no doubt you like, love, or use the tool, but you wreak of "rookie salesman". Meaning it doesn't feel like I'm watching an expert tell me about a tool the he Loves, has used for some extended period of time, and knows all about. Just a long ass pitch to get it and learn it for myself (Which I will), but I for sure have 0 interest in sub'ing. FWIW I saw another video of yours a while back and I thought the total opposite, so this aint hate.
Thanks for the feedback, but I would save your money on this power probe. You gotta understand did video over a year ago when tool was brand spanking new. Infomercial or not I got out the info out I could at the time the tool was released. And I don't care if you sub or not I'm not a CZcamsr I'm a mechanic.

I personally know a couple of the biggest and "the" biggest mechanic(s) on CZcams, but when I saw them promoting some scanner that I could tell they were just doing so because they were asked to, I was irritated because it dampened the weight of their advice. Gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. ... but I feel what you said,and thanks for not letting me dump my bread in a dumpster. I am literally putting the Power Probe IV in my Amazon cart right now. Did you come to find it was not worth it or is there something out better now?
You really must have got well paid for this video advertisement. You are pretending to be as excited as a shopping channel presenter. Videos like this turn me off a product....so I bought a different one instead.
Its not when you know what your doing. Would you run a power wire from the battery and touch it to anything in an ECU ? No so whY would you send 12V with the power prob ? Same same? And as another user stated they make an adapter that plugs in so you can’t send more than 5 V to the tip. But anyone that uses a power probe knows if you push up on the rocker switch it sounds 12 V to the tip. The power probe is not an ECU fryer YOU ARE. I can diagnose the problem right here in the comment section for you. When you get in the car there is a dead short between the seat and the steering wheel

I just bought one of these today. I use an oscilloscope a lot hopefully this will save time by not having to set that up

My power probe hook went down, I was wondering how this new one stacks up against it or should i just get my hook repaired?

I think only power probe 3 did that false ground.

Power probe iv is my go to. It's more the app usage and lagging when using it. The maestro is ok but there is better.
