The Power Probe IV Diagnostic electronic circuit and component tester supplies battery power and ground. Featuring AC/DC Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, Frequency, Pulse width (Positive and Negative) and additional diagnostic modes: Fuel Injector Tester, PCM/ECM Driver Tester and ECT2000 Signal tracer. This kit also includes an exclusive Accessory Kit designed for easy circuit connection and probing.
The Power Probe IV Automotive Diagnostic Tool is powered by 12 and 24 VDC electrical systems. It boasts eight different test modes for those systems:
VDC Mode - This mode tests DC Voltages.
Feed Test Mode - Use this mode to check voltages on static circuits or voltage drops on active circuits.
ACRMS - This mode tests AC Voltages where an RMS measurement is needed.
P-P - Measure Peak-to-Peak AC Voltages.
Hrz Frq Cntr - Hertz Frequency Counter for measure AC signals.
Fuel Inj Mode - Use this mode for Fuel Injector Circuit testing.
Drv Test Mode - Test the transistors inside the modules with this mode.
PPECT Mode - Use this mode for locating open circuits.

I just have to say that I have been watching you from back about 9-10 years ago when you have gone through the old F-150, the Arctic Cat rebuild, the video on your hot chili, etc. and every time you have always ended it by opening a cold one!! I just get so much out of your videos and I am still amazed how much you know with pretty much everything. I would have to say that a good video request I would like to see would be about the different welding tools, which ones are best for the normal homeowner and how to properly use them.

Request: It would be nice to see what all the symbols on basic multimeter are and what each is for and to use each one.
Love my power probe, it works great. It does things that I always had to do by using jumper wires before. So much easier. I think I'm running the 4 also. While they had the 5 out when I bought mine, I just couldn't justify the additional cost with the added features that I don't believe I'll use. Will I regret it in the future, maybe but at this time, I doubt it but I do get proven wrong occasionally. If it happens, it happens and I'll own it. But it isn't a common occurence. 😇

I have the pp 4 just tried to use it to reverse polarity on electronic rear brakes didn't work but my pp 3 did...I don't understand that.
I have the power probe 4 and have not used all the functions yet. I got the short finder kit with it. maybe show us more power probe functions. thanks

Quick question, can you test for paricitic draw. I have this power probe. Keep going back to test lights and meter
On the 4 yes you can. Put it on PFT mode and have the load connected and you can just subtract the battery voltage and the tip voltage
I'd love to see a video on how you put those huge wheels and tires on after removing them to complete work.
For me, it's impossible to lift them, there has to be a trick

can you do a parasitic draw test with the power probe 4 like you can with the power probe hook
I’m not 100% sure but I think you can only do that with the hook
