Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Jett Briar instablaster =)
@Payton Greyson i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Payton Greyson It worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Jett Briar No problem =)
Your nearly disgusted reaction to the music that came on was hilarious.
Thanks for taking the time to demo the tool. Much appreciated 👍😎
Nice . Happy to see companies recognizing you
Joe I'd like to thank you for sharing and taking time out to explain this tool this tool can be very useful. Can't wait to see you use it on a vehicle to see its full potential. Again keep up the great videos.
I like your opening storm sounds. You're the lightning bolt of reasonable thought in a storm of automotive crises!
Great info, Nice to see companies asking you for input.
Joe thanks for the demo. Looks like a cool tool.will look into it 👍
Damned few mechanics/technicians would say, "...piqued my interest..." in conversation. Kudos to Mr.Delia, one of the brighter lights on the tree!
Wow! I'm liking the new toy! Glad to see some of the details of the tool, since I knew you had it. Nice to hear they sent it to you to try!
That's the Frame Rate on the camera with LEDs, it's not a big deal, but good to mention that in person it doesn't look like what we see or what the camera sees.
Thanks Cuba. It really is a nice tool. Keith would like it...but probably has one already lol
hey Joe's Auto Electric great video thanks.
I have couple tool from power probe and love every one of them. They make good stuff!
Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to share. Cheers
Thank you for the support
Nice tool, it will make a nice addition to my toolbox
Awesome video joe nice review. That flashing is the refresh rate of the led. Seems like a solid breakout I’m using the CanDo break out box. Has all the same features but you can plug a banana in. Thanks for sharing this.
I love mine. Just picked it up recently though my cornwell dealer!
Working with Power Probe for a long time very good company a very reliable I like all are there equipment still have it today
Great little device!
😵 sweet. BOB are awesome when you realize how to use them accurately. This seems like a great way to isolate corrupt systems and wiring 😈
SUBSTANTIAL Joe's Auto Electic
Thank you very much. We miss you. God bless you and all your family around you Take care and have a great day

Exselete diagnostic amigo. Good tools.
Sweeeeeet perfect for a pico session on the obd system or canbus diagnostics
The pin tools will work in three orientations to test fuses one handed, you simply turn them around on the magnets for mini, standard and maxi fuses.
Thanks for this video!
Interesting to learn this tool exist
And,
Nice Hat👍👍
Thank you!
Looks great smart move
You know your ballin when you have a Fiat 500 Gucci II
looks neat brother
Fancy stuff!!!!! thanks
We all know you were jammin out to that music to get hyped up before filming Joe.
Looks like a nice unit. The compact size seems nice. I have to use adaptors for my picoBOB and that thing is huge so using adaptors doesn’t bother me.
I like the power probe tools I have so far. That break out box has some nice features. I'm glad you have that as part of your arsenal.
Thanks Wyatt. I am thrilled with it too. nice company and great products.
Jus subscribed & thank you for spreading knowledge. I have the power probe hook & well I still have not learned it’s full potential. Practice makes perfect........well sometimes, but as long as the issues are resolved. Keep them videos coming & thank you for explaining BOB which I had no clue existed. 👊🏼
Excellent 👍🏻
+5 for the Henry beanie!!!!
Great video it's the cadillac of break out boxes I found one on the net 245.00 just gogled it thanks again Joe can't wait for a video where you use it !!!
Thanks man.
Had a few tools from power probe, never had a problem with them to be honest
I just got mine cost 249.95 I agree with you very nice tool
I made a simple breakout box myself some time ago. A small 20volt LCD Display for the voltage, a few female banana plugs, a ODB2 cable extension and a box. 30 minutes work and I had a simple breakout box that would beat the China stuff for just 10 bucks or something and I know what I have. The breakout box is just to measure voltage with my meter / oscilloscope or hunt for CAN Bus trouble.
This breakout box costs around 190 Dollars plus tax and shipping, that is a lot.
Nothing wrong with making your own man. Good for you.
Snap on make this tool and also sell the little probes separately,I'm in the UK and use this tool which is great 👍👍
Thank you.
Good video
Nice review Joe. Just got one of these myself. Hope u r aware of the light on the OBD cord end. Very helpful, but got to load the battery first for it to work.
Oh yes, I simply forgot to mention it in the video. Thank you.
Hey joe that power probe breakout box at amazon is 186.99
It's now available thru MAC Tools, it's great!
I haven’t looked into buying new probes Joe but they are some 2mm male to 4mm female being sold on eBay, I also use this magnetic power probe ones to test fuses or to use with my amp hound, you can mix A+B | B+A and so on for different fuses type 👍... I forgot one thing mate Bluepoint has literally the same breakout box you can try getting some extra magnetic probe with your snap on guy 👍
Oh no Snap On?!!! Yuck!!!
Joe's Auto Electric hahahha😁
It looks nice, but I will keep using my $15 e-bay china one for now. I'd rather put the money into my Pico savings fund! I guess seeing the voltage is nice, but usually I am going to be scoping Can High and Low most of the time to to see the actual signal, or I just want to temporarily add a module to the buss to program or test. I tend to use a cheap Harbor Freight logic probe as a quick and dirty method to see activity on a CAN when I am working throughout the vehicle. I guess the connectors are okay, but I would want more than 2 adapters, and I'd rather just have banana jacks because everything else I have is banana jacks.
I get voltage reading on the China one I bought, it may have been slightly more but not crazy like the other break out boxes such as the aeswave.
I never use tools test or safety equipment made in cheating lack of quality control scum bag communist china. My cheap boss purchased several cheap china garbage capacitor & electrical VOM meters. Leads broke within 3 months and very not accurate. Went back to Fluke.
try the american hook class act
I bet they fit Standard meter leads. The tiny holes in the break out box that is.
Yeah buddy that great from Aleskyfinis
The LED display is flickering because it's multiplexed. Most 7-segment LED displays are. To save power, and to make the circuitry simpler, only one section of the display is lit up at a time, but the sections are scanned/lighted very quickly so your eye doesn't see it. But your camera does, as you said, because of the scan rate of the sensor or software..
Thanks! I learned something new! Awesome!
Was just going to say something similar. LOL
I was just about to say that. Glad I looked first.
Pulse width modulated....
@@Divided-Kingdom - Nope. Multiplexing is not the same thing as PWM. Not even similar.
I was in New Jersey some years ago, looking for a truck to support my "mobile mechanic" preferred means of living (Props to "Mighty Joe Young", despite our inability to seal a deal!). I currently use a Kaiser/Jeep XM-811A SEORTM shop van, along with my prodessionally-certified engineer's knowledge, education, training, and tools.
I hope that we can "partner-up" for a video. For the record, I used to do a "crazy" radio show, which was, once upon a time, number one in Germany's afternoon drive time (morning drive-time here on the Left Coast of what was, once, America!). Yeah, I'm a pretty funny [old] guy, and I am a fantastic diagnostician.
I believe (hope?) that you are the future.
It's also sold as a Blue-point unit, so ask your Snapon guy about the probes
Thanks Dan.
The reason the LEDs are flashing in the camera is because of only one pixel is lit at a time. The micro display rotates lighting among the individual LEDs in display so fast that the human eye sees a steady light. However, when the video camera scans the display it will get repeat scans when pixels are turned off hence the flashing. You can get the same effect like when videoing a air plane propeller. Maybe some day our technology will be tuned to work more like our eyes.
The issue with the camera is that the camera is recording at a different frame rate than the display is operating at. It happens to a lot of monitors.
Excelent tool, congrat's looking forword to get one
cool looking tool .. no one in my area sells them.
Contact Power Probe directly.
Circuit resistance for HSCAN, and if you have a Power probe 4 the driver option could work on that also, I plan to use a ECT3000 on it to find opens on a Can Bus.
did the ect3000 work for the can bus?
Muito bom sua boa vontade de explicar o uso dessa ferramenta. E tem tradução em português..top
Nice
Nice looking tool but I wish they had used the regular banana jack connector as they are already on most tool wish would make it very flexible. Any how thanks for the content Joe, keep up the good work!
the flickering is on the camera shuterspeed and iso change the iso and shutter speed
Gucci door sill plates 💥😆💥
i like it but i'm gonna wait till the price come's down,i cant dump the cash on a otc. been using power probe since the came out and never had a problem and got me out of a lot of jams. love your vids keep them coming-your doing me good showing all the new ways to dio. on a car.
The tool shows where there is low system voltage reference signal in the circuit. You need access to pro grade wiring diagrams to be able to find the right area. Then you could find problems really fast. Most people can't afford the pro grade wiring diagrams.
This tool is not really directed at a DIY'er. Most would be lost trying to fix a comm issue on late model vehicles. This mainly comes down to training as well as having the proper equipment. There are reasons we get paid for what we do.
Nice useful bit of kit. The probes that come with it, are the tips anywhere near the size of standard meter probes ?
They are 2mm.
@@JoesAutoElectric : Hey Joe, thanks for the reply buddy. At least the fact that they're normal probe size helps, not as convenient as the small magnetic probes supplied with it but workable all the same 👍
I agree. Most of the tools I have experience with PP are fantastic. I have searched and still do not see a source of the probes that come with the tool, however...
@@JoesAutoElectric : Yeah, I had a look at UK and European sellers and don't see them listed. Only place I could see the breakout box listed is in the USA. Nice to see your still doing a brilliant job diagnosing and repairing the stuff people throw at you.
If a probe goes bad, would you be able to use one from your aes lead kit?
There flickering is caused by different refresh rates. Led vs camera (digital shutter speed)
Sure...or a simple back probe
if you connected a tail light bulb could you load test the 2 grounds using the breakout box. and found this video after looking at the other video i messaged you about so guess are you still thinking this is the best breakout box to have
i have had connection issues with bananna jacks the single pin is definitely better if only everyone would standardize their pin sizes. does the voltmeter jump over the ground pins?
It's the hertz rate that's visable on screens as i understood it, off and on.
Indeed .
Good tool... Its been available for about a year but again not seen many guys using it. Does it still have the light in the dlc connector to help you find the plug?
Yes I simply forgot to mention the light in the connector.
The lights flicker because of your cameras refresh rate/shutter speed.
Hey joe..what is you’re opinion on using solder or butt connectors on a 2010 Chevy Silverado driver door jamb rubber boot..wire is broken that goes to airbag impact sensor in door
Make the wire long enough that the joint( repair) won't be under stress and then solder if possible. I have never had a failure in all my6 years doing it that way.
Nice hat!
Yea some people in Jersey still like guns. Same here in Illinois.
Many of us do. We see them a necessary
Electro Mech No offense, but I will not even enter a northern state because of their stomping on the Constitution.
@@rickmeadows686 none taken. I would like to leave myself. Watch out for Mr Bloomberg and his crew of constitution stompers btw.
Electro Mech We are!
Snap on selling probes individual in the 🇬🇧 uk
We all know you was BumpN that song. Don’t gotta play it off. 🙃😂
Ok. Pregunta. Los. Conextore son separado oh incriulle
What would be cool if it tells you the resistor of 60ohms good or 120ohms open of your communications. Maybe on the 2 they will. For 200$ pluse I'll wait for that option.
That's what a meter is for. Plus you need to consider sgw
Can I use eobd2
Dumb question but what would I use the box to troubleshoot? Obd comm problems?
Yes exactly.
You can get them from snap on
What do the markings on the probes mean? "AA->MINI" "BB->MAXI"??????? "AB-ATC"?????????????? 8:15
You should tell the company to send you 500 right now I'm. Buying one
hahah nice! You'll be happy with it, I'm sure.
Nice, do you have an "under dash creeper"?
Steve Sosinski one of the better tools I own for interior work
@@Ram2253spd It makes the job so much easier, you just have to remember not to take a nap under there.
Steve Sosinski lmao that’s the truth for sure
Useble 24v
Can you please do a car diagnose using this tool. You just promote the tool that was sent to you.
I have used the tool in diagnosing, but I have been out of work a year due to severe vertigo, hence no videos.
I guess this one is over my head. I'm totally lost what do I use this for ?.
It is a breakout box to test all of the pins at the OBD2 connector. It makes life better.
banana jacks in a breakout box is ignorant... it needs to be probe style, for speed and convenience. This one gives both options(not banana, but secure banana like) so, woopy, best of both worlds. ...it does not allow to isolate pin 16, or does it!?
Maaan, but those Gucci door sills though...! 👍
Nick Nicu worth more than the car 🤣
I thought that's what it said.
Why make a tool and not use standard connecters what happens when the connecters get lost does a standard multi meter lead fit?
You can use any basic probe you want on this. It is not anything special. 2mm if you want them to be a tight fit...but any probe will make contact and read.
@@JoesAutoElectric Looks like t pins would be perfect if you're careful.
$250..damn. I was thinking it would be a hundo
Hundo?.....
@@JoesAutoElectric yeah like an easy "hundo"
JOE'S AUTO ELECTRIC, can you give examples of using the Breakout box Pin#1 thur Pin#15 what kind of common failures you have seen when troubleshooting cars using Pin#1 thur Pin#15?
Depends on the manufacturer.
@@JoesAutoElectric yes but can you give examples of what car failures and problems were when using the breakout box using Pin#1 thru Pin#15 giving examples please?
They fit standard meter lead tip?
These are 2mm probes.
Be nice if it came with a nice case I like power probe
Not needed as it is kept in the tool cart drawer.
@@JoesAutoElectric yeah when I worked for shops I used to have a lot of toolboxes but now I'm pretty much a mobile mechanic so having a nice case comes in handy.
You gonna be at super Saturday?
No sir.
They are on eBay for $179.99
How much you want for your old knock off box now that you have a good one
Hey in my last video, I was using mine to play with programming a RFA module. I got that for $15 on eBay and had to wait on it to come on the slow boat from China, but it works well.
@@frugalprepper gotta love that boat LOL
were to get it? any part number?
See description for more info.
L.E.D's are "Light Emitting Diodes" witch means they flicker at high rate to provided a solid image or light to the human eyes. cameras due to frame rate will pick up the flicker , If you do alot of filming of L.E.D's you can find information on how to adjust frame rates accordingly to not get flicker. just a answer 🙃
Great review . First
the flashing is because the leds are actually pulsing but its so fast we see it as solid
It's not on the power probe website......but I'm definitely going to bug them about it cause I like it too Joe........ Seems like it's market to the UK and some times they will not sell in U.S. market. I had a few tools I want to get from UK and it was always will not post to U.S.
Call power probe. Number is on the website.
@@JoesAutoElectric yes I will it's the only way to get them to market it here.
