The doors lock and pressing the unlock button does nothing.
You hear a voice come over the speakers as your steering wheel goes into autonomous mode with no user input reaching the wheels.
"Yes hello, we hacked your car now you are off to Brazil."
The last thing you see is the water as your car plummets off a bridge.

Why not just have real power steering with updated mechanical systems that are connected for safety not some steer Maybe by wire ooooops there's a glitch system~

It’s only natural people will feel a loss of spirit as new vehicles will place a buffer between you and the wheels.

What happens if your car battery dies...? would just have no controll over the steering of the vehicle, why not just have a spring loaded clutch or a system which can disengage the wheel from the steering rack.
I do understand that would mean that when you regain manual controll the steering wheel wont be alligned with the position of the wheels but you could place a motor and sensor to allign the wheel before it gives you controll. This way if anything happened worse case the clutch would drop and you would just steer with the steering wheel out of allignment.
I do believe in progression of the motor industry however we have seen in the past that technology can fail but unlike a stuck accelorator/cruise controll which can be resolved by killing ignition of the spark plugs this could leave you heading into oncoming traaffic with no quick simple resolution.

      That's why it's illegal (on-highway).

Certain things need to remain mechanic... I've seen accidents because people doesn't have a mechanical handbrake anymore in some cars, the car burst in flames or loses power, loses hydraulic pressure on the brakes and there's no way to stop the car anymore. There's no need to search a solution where there's no problem.

Well sim racing wheel is supposed to feel like a normal car so I guess it cancels out?

@@SkeleCrafteronYT Well, depends. Most racing sims give additional feedback through the wheel that you wouldn't feel in a real car to make up for the fact that there's no "seat of pants" feedback in your computer chair. So much performing driving is done through feedback you feel in your body, in a sim, it's primarily gotta be handled by the wheel. Most actual cars feel pretty numb compared to a sim wheel, but they are giving you feedback in dozens of other areas throughout your body.

takes up a lot of space, and when you crash you get a fancy tongue piercing.
