The new Drone Mask version 2 have the changes you wanted in these FPV Goggles.
You can also use these as Co-Pilot or Audience Mode for a second person to ride along on your DJI FPV or Avata flights. it's there a way to connect the dji rc (for the Mini 3) to a phone for a co-pilot?
Not at the moment but I’m hoping it will for that very reason.

Hi Chris. I used to use the split screen goggles but bought the Dronemask 1 and have never gone back. I've never used the DJI goggles, Any of them, how do they compare to this? For instance the Avatas new goggles?
You can’t compare really because they are their own device but dronemask can at least make face friendly. Both dji goggles I have suck without aftermarket foam.
@@QCGUY I just wondered how the clarity compared. My drone mask is so sharp and clear i cant imagine how the DJI goggles could be THAT much better?

Nice review Chris… the upgrades seem to be great ideas. I’ve been looking at these for awhile (obviously the V1). Haven’t been able to make myself pull the plug and drop the money yet. I’ve been trying to cheap out using the DroneVR2 app and cheap VR goggles…it works (mostly) but lots of glitches and the picture quality just isn’t that good… hmm it’s almost present time?😅
It’s time to bite the bullet and grab a pair. Once you try them I’m betting you will be glad you did.

I can only agree with you 100%, it works, does what it says. That I've already got one, Naja. The menu thing is not a biggy for me, it'd be nice, however with my neck lanyard for the controller two hands to unzip etc works also.

I love the black curtains being able to access the screen is great . The extra 10 dollars on the price is not bad considering you would pay more than that for the 2 cables that come with it and the brighter color will be great for warmer climates like here in Florida.
Yeah $10 bucks was fair I thought. I like this company in how they actually care about the product, the customers and making it better.

Thanks Chris for all your great videos. They are always informative just like this one .I think it would be so Great using the Drone mask 2 like I could see the screen much better without the sun's interfering glare and the ability to have complete control over everything on the screen using the Black curtains . My face will keep toasty warm in these Canadian winds . I would love to buy a pair but the price is quit high when you convert it to Canadian dollars it comes to $249 Dollars . If I don't win I will save up for a pair of my own for sure they are so great.
And I am sure you have told them they can call them Black Curtains for freeeeeeeee.
I can see these used for a few purposes. Watching those 3D CZcams videos would be one, so anyone with those 360 degree cameras could use these as well.

What does the cord actually do. Because i have the ruko f11 Gim 2. And i don't see a difference. I've unplugged it and pluged. And yeah i don't think i need the cord unless I'm missing something. But what i will say is. Wow mentally i FEEL i can only fly with the mask on now. Lol. Mind you I've been flying without the drone mask for a month now. Lol. But since buying the mask. It's totally better flying with the mask. Ten times better. Nevertheless what is the cable actually for.
You have a WiFi quad from what it sounds like. If you have fpv on your app without using a cable because it connects through your devices WiFi then you don’t need a cable.
It’s for drones that require a cable between controllers and devices.
Nothing like landing in a wet spot!...:)

Using mine I have fogging up issues often... not complaining. An easy fix
Try spit products or shaving cream on the lenses.
Chris....Appreciate the video, and the fact that you did not hide that these goggles unfortunately are not the end all be all for those of us who love to fly FPV, but due to a stigmatism or eyesight restrictions, can't. Speaking from experience, having purchased and returned the initial version of the Drone Mask, I found while wearing my glasses (farsighted) with a slight stigmatism, even with the front of the Drone Maske telescoped out as far as permitted, the clarity of my cell phone screen while inserted into the Drone Mask, just wasn't good enough to view all the drone telemetry and fly safe. I've reached out to Drone Mask who indicated the only changes to the "New" and improved Drone Mask are those that you've spoke of. My hope is that with further development, and some tweaking, Drone Mask will implement the necessary changes that allow those of us without perfect vision to enjoy the same benefits of those who do :). Fingers crossed.
Many with these slight sight issues use cheap drugstore cheaters from what I’m hearing.
@@QCGUY Hmnnn. Interesting concept. If I already have a prescription and glasses, why would I want to use cheater glasses that might not be my prescription?
@@johnsnow2347 because you’re prescription glasses don’t work that close up in many cases.
@@johnsnow2347 your farsighted so cheaters will most likely be s fit you in close up situations. Your glasses aren’t prescribed for that distance.
@@QCGUY Chris, Dude, CMON....LOL, that's why I wear glasses because I'm farsighted. With the glasses on, they help me see content on a computer or cell phone screen that are up close. Which in my case is the problem with the Drone Mask...i.e. The cell phone image is too close, even with the mask telescoped out. Point being, if you are farsighted with a slight stigmatism, even when wearing glasses, the Drone Mask on-screen image might not be clear. "The difference between farsighted and nearsighted is whether you have difficulty seeing up close or at a distance. Farsightedness makes it hard to see things that are close, and nearsightedness makes it difficult to see things that are far away."
The company is from Norway, but they do not sell it here in Norway. I do not know why

You know Chris when you reviewed the first mask my drone was in your shop for repairs. Now you review the second and my drone is crashed again. If I would win that mask I would have to send drone to you again for repairs. Vicious cycle but win win for us both no

Great video but the goggles are ridiculously bulky and look so bad when you wear them. Sorry but are many better options out there with better looks and slimmer. There are many with a remote control so you don't have to use your fingers.
Point me to the best alternative to these as an example just out of curiosity. I’ve tried so many and haven’t liked anything more than these big momma’s.
