- Everyone loves a good treasure hunt, and Mike Wolfe even gets to make a living out of it. The "American Pickers" star has been going through people’s junk for years, and in 2010, the History Channel decided to give him a show all about it. Unlike other reality shows, "American Pickers" doesn’t focus on drama between its stars, as Wolfe and co-star Frank Fritz are pretty easygoing and generally amiable. However, Wolfe leads quite an interesting life when he’s not rummaging through people’s garages, so let’s take a look at what nobody told you about Mike Wolfe from "American Pickers."

What do you think is the coolest find from American Pickers?
I found a vintage clock sadly I couldn’t keep in working condition but I also found it was broken so never had a chance
A fixed show full of wankers, liars and thief's
This is a true statement as far as being a staged show. I have a friend in Columbus Indiana and the boys wanted to pick his place. This place is wall to wall jam packed with decades of collecting, but the show wanted to plant their own treasures in the mix and only wanted to buy their own stuff. He told them to leave and never come back.
At one time I was a collector of old oil cans and had a couple hundred that since I was moving had to go and was going to go cheap. The boys were emailed twice but I got no response from them. My home was about 100 miles from their TN shop and there was a couple months worth the time, but guess Frankie really doesn't want cans. Sadly they all ended up in a dumpster with many other antiques and collectables. I guess telling them the stuff had to go cheap turned them off.
The Aerosmith van!!!
@@michaelwatson9711 So true.
What a pleasant surprise. A TV personality that's NOT a douchebag. In fact, he appears to be a very nice man and his actions speak for themselves. I wish him well.
Both fake ass people and Freemason dogs. He got his show through Freemasonry
@@nothappyjan1509 Curious, where did you learn this? haven't seen anything in the news on this.
@@nothappyjan1509 Actually it's YOU that is fake ass
I haven't seen this show in years, but I really enjoyed it back then. It had positivity to it that kinda made my days.
Being British I love this show , love the history ,and glimpses of America in the 50s and 60s and earlier . Fascinating to see all these wonderful products produced in the past . Love old motorcycles , cars ,toys etc .
My husband & I love the Pickers, we watch it every week. Mike is a good man.
God bless you Mike and I hope your wife and daughter are well especially during covid-19.
I've always liked Mike, this video confirmed why, he's a nice guy.
Well Said , he a nice man on the
Outside , but even better on the inside
Love American Pickers ,always looking for new episodes . Mike always comes across as a good guy ,this vid proves that now .
Mike, all those kids who you help will be your blessing. God is watching.
I’m now 40 years old but I was born with a clef lip, had initial surgeries while under a year old but around age 10 Operation Smile came to my home town and completed a surgery to reduce the very visible scaring the first surgery had left. I’m incredibly grateful to them for helping me feel less of an oddity as a kid.
In the past, I have given quite a chunk of cash to "The Smile Train ", However, I have recently become sceptical at the salaries paid to CEO s of the major charities and I see the Smile Train CEO gets $750 000 !!. I would like to continue donating to Children's Cleft pallet surgery. Can anyone tell me the name of the Charity Mike is involved with?
* cleft. * scarring
A good man God bless him.
A good man hahaha he's a thief just like frank
A Great Guy and has a great show! God Bless him1
Thank you Mike . Stay safe .
My sister was friends with Mike for years before he hit it big. They met through a Quad Cities media organization. I remember her sending me a video of a guy going out to a barn in WI and dragging out a ‘40 Ford Woodie wagon that had been chopped into a pickup. I remember thinking “How cool!” There was no Frank, and single handheld camera, but the ‘bones’ were there. After he got picked up by History Channel, years later MW introduced my sis to Frank and then those 2 dated for about a year. She managed his social media stuff, public appearances and went to visit HC HQ in NYC and attended the Cable ACE awards one year. Too bad I never got to meet him or pitch my TV show to him!!!
Half your luck. I've watched the seasons a couple of times.
Then you also know that Frank was hired to be "comic relief" on the show, and he and Mike were never friends or even knew each other prior to this. Frank isn't even a professional antique dealer.
Cool story.
Did not know that about Mr. Wolfe. What a fine citizen he is, helping others and especially children.
Mr.Wolff; many Blessings to you and your Family. Been a fan since the inception of your show. 🙏🏻👍
I admire a man who can wear many hats and make them all look great. Good Form !
This just makes me admire Mike more.
My wife and I got to meet Mike in 2017 on a trip to Colorado from Michigan. A big fan of the show, I discovered that I-80 goes right past LeClaire Iowa and told my wife we had to stop at the Pickers' store. Didn't think we'd actually get to meet Mike. He seems genuinely happy and appreciative of his fans. Still have my American Pickers coffee mug.
20 YEARS!! Never be discouraged about your dream, eventually, your idea will have its time...
Good on you, Mike! My mom always says, life is a 3-prong balance. Health, love and finance; one always fall short.
I'm from South Dakota. I absolutely love to watch Mike Frank and Daniel ln America Pickers. Keep up the Good Work Mike and God Bless you and your family and friends.
Absolutely love the show and to see Mike as a caring normal human being is inspiring. Mike and Dan Shaw (FantomWorks) are two of the nicest guys on TV.
I think it's great how a channel called history, shows us things from the past, that we'll use again in the future ,,
I guess the ratings are warranted because of his and the cast being so dedicated to the preservation of the past. I've watched the show dozens of times over and over again and I'm still learning about things I never paid attention to before. Keep on Picking. LOL in your future endeavours. Whatever they may be?
God Bless him and his family
Good on you Mike. Love from Ireland and to the whole cast.
Love the show, love the cast. They are all awesome.
I'm so sorry buddy you make a wonderful dad may YHWY guide your life still in helping so many you are a rare person in this world
A Wonderful Person!!!
Best of luck to you, your wife and daughter. I took a RVroad trip a friend and found your pickers garage in Iowa. Toured the small garage found it interesting especially knowing it was a television in my home state of New Jersey.
One of my favorite shows of all time. Actually started my channel because of them.
One of my favorite shows.. wish you were in Canada ..love to meet ya in person...
At least mike is a solid real person who does so much others great guy.
what a man go on wolf . keep up the great work fella.
Mike a great person !!!!
What a stand up all around great person.... example to all.
Very interesting. Seems like quite the good human. 👍🏼
It's nice to know the "Hysterical Channel" has this solid, entertaining, family-oriented show among all the fake _drek._ Some of the things I've seen Mike and frank do, such as selling items they picked for real money, then giving it back to the original sellers to help them preserve some important bit of Americana, is heart-warming. I also like the respect they show to the older pickers they meet along the way, becoming friends with diverse people. Pick on, American Pickers! Stay safe, everyone.
One of my wife and my favorite television shows !
@@ozgoodphotos just three lol !
I watch it from Paris ,from a link to DAVE and your so right its a pleasure to watch made ,made in heaven but Mike is the man, I dread the day when I catch up with the series ,I work for LeMonde as a freelance writer and often snap out of that calm pleasant period while it's on to realise I'm behind with writing, as another appreciative watcher said,He's a good man ,the world could do with more like him
No disrespect to his partner ,come to Paris ill show, you around the places that are hidden
Used to look forward to this show. Miss it though. From Glasgow Scotland.
This is a great channel!
Hes one cool dude love the show
I hope young Charlie is doing well
God bless her ((
American pickers is a brilliant show ((
God bless ya all
Love the show, from UK
Peace and love to the Wolfe family from UK.
God bless you and your family 🙏❤️👍🏼
Met Mike Wolfe a few years back. Cool guy
Mike was always fair to those who he purchased from. When someone was willing to give an item away he always told them the actual value and gave them a fair price. His partner Frank wasn't always so transparent. He would often brag when he took advantage of a sucker. I understand the importance of running a business and burning bridges limits opportunities. Show or not if I saw someone bragging about how they took advantage of me I would never invite them back.
He also is always respectful to some very difficult "sellers". Even though some are clearly wasting his time and showing off, he still tries to "explain" them in a positive light.
Very few people would bother and would just let them look like fools.
I started 65 years back I lived over the road from the biggest scrapyard in Norfolk uk and it was my play ground I ended up working for them i would go picking every dinner time I can Scan a big heap and pick the rusty gold out you name it I picked it and I loved it then it was rust now it’s gold I was in at the birth it’s fun
Well done Mike. Love your show. God bless.

@@joalvarez6252 Going well thanks mate hard work but lockdown has weirdly helped it.
Mike is the show, very knowledgeable & a damn right nice guy? Luv the show, I follow it all the time. Much luck in the future? With all the crap on TV this show is excellent!

With you Rod
Can u do a vid on U2
lovely man
Down to earth, decent guy.
Seems like a good guy. 💗
Haha Mike n Frankie use to crack me up together ☺
Mike Wolfe leads by example. He doesn't "Talk the Talk". He "Walks the Walk"
Really, it debuted in 2010 and has run for 20 years? If, so i have missed a decade of my life and goddamn it I want it back!
He gives very fair prices for the items ..... unlike Drew (Salvage Hunters) who rops people off !!!!
Drew's a taff , what do you expect 😄
Cool.
Met Danielle in LeClaire, Iowa....a genuinely nice person....what you see on tv is exactly what she is like in real life...
Blessings
I love the show but it’s not what most pickers deal with. Most can’t buy fifty thousand dollar motorcycles or cars. And the prices for signs and other staples of picking have gone way up, because sellers see what mike and frank are paying. They have come a long way from $15 crocks and everyday picker items.
Love Mike just because he has such great business ethics, always showing his appreciation for the items he picks, paying fairly for them and always thanking the owners for selling them to him. This is in big contrast with many successful business gurus who teach you to hustle, criticise the products in order to press the prices.
Good guy
Doing good.....good on him!
