    Hi I really like your videos and it helps me to take care my budgies. For this one I just wanna ask, is ACTIVE PIED GENE random to budgies? Or there's a mutation for you to be able to get a active pied gene offsprings even without a active pied gene showing from the parents.

    • @arli4406
      @arli4406 Před 3 lety

      Good question! I hope someone will answer. I think if you breed normal budgie with single dominant and offspring will be double dominant then you know it's a carrier. But a level above pied is opaline, maybe it has stg to do with this mutation.
      Let me know if you found out about it. Thank you! Good luck!🤞

    My budgie is about 4 and a half years old maybe even just 4. Is that old for a budgie or should I be worried of him popping off soon which I hope he doesn't, he's also healthy well he acts healthy so should I be getting ready for his last few weeks or months or do budgies live longer then 5?

    What is meant by single factor or double factor? How can I recognize it?

    • @BudgieWorld
      @BudgieWorld  Před 4 lety +1

      Did you watch the video till the end? , that's the whole video's point.
      single factor is when the budgie get's the gene only from one parent, and double factor is when the budgie takes the gene from both parents.
