I just lost (r.i.p.) my beautiful, adorable budgie, Pluto, I couldn’t describe her, but now I know she was an opaline budgie. Thank you so much.
I'm sorry to hear that :(
budgieyy I feel like crying for your loss may your bird have an amazing time in heaven tho 😭😭
😇
Thank you for explaining opaline budgie. I always wondered what that meant. Great video Budgie World! 💙🐦😊
Thank you for your lovely videos. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I was gifted 2 parakeets years ago. And our budgie LOVE grew from there. Fast fwd a year ago was once more gifted/rescued 4 budgies this time. Seeing the first 2 and the latter batch one cannot help but notice the differences. Our first 2 were basic colors, no mutations, Blue and Green. The new batch are fancy FANCY for SURE 😆 it got me excited once more for punnets square and gene mutations and exploring ALL the different splices that make my 🐦 s unique. We lost one of the 4 before Mothers day this year. Weeks later we went to acquire a new friend for our mourning mate. Welp ... Turns out ... 😂 we brought 🏡 4 New babies! Am SO in 💘 and intrigued with the variations on them. Seeing resemblances to our Bigz vs the Lilz is such a joy. I swear they must be related. Breeder bands and small local area 😁 Its as if I was seeing the clutches they never had b4 my very 👀 ❤ I had gathered my one was opaline yet now must rethink things considerably. KUDOS
Beautiful!
You honestly do such a great job of explaining sex linked mutations without making this extra confusing! Thank you!
i learn so much on your video thank you
Your videos are really cool & clear to understand, hats off to your explanation🤩👍 budgie world
Interesting, thanks! 💕
Thanks for your your video
I mostly have opaline budgies. ❤❤❤💗💗💗🤤🤤
Nice bro good
Super.. nice..
Am also buggies breeding setup bro..
I have a golden head green opaline budgie! He is so cute😍
I have an opaline male named Toni! 💗
I have a oppoline lotino budgie named Greeny
I can't decide if it's helpful or confusing to change ZZ to XX and ZW to XY.
Really nice video and well explained.
Nice video 👌 thanks for your illustration, it's easy to get it.💖 I wish u add the different looks of a genetic feature if it is associated with another one, like that a budgie could be opline and yelow face and would be like this "adding photos of them", that would be great.😅😍
I am planning to go through the different mixes when I finish the basic ones, so when we talk about a rainbow for example and I say which mutations are mixed to give a rainbow you would understand :)
@@BudgieWorld I liked ur rapid interaction and ur polite response 💖, keep going and count me as one of ur biggest supporters and fans💗💝
Fantastic video. I would like to know more about recessive pied budgie. How to recognize a recessive pied split budgie ?
noted :)
Here are my budgie mutations:
♂️ *Denny* - Cinnamon, opaline, saddle-back, half-breed budgie
♂️ *Benji* - Dark green, opaline, saddle-back budgie
♀️ *Daisy* - Recesieve pied, creamino budgie
♀️ *Bibi* - light green, (?) Budgie
omg, I think you have the cutest profile pic across all youtube!!!!
@@BudgieWorld Thank you! 😋 you have most informative videos about birds!
@@dennythebudgie sorry but Denny is not tht mutation, but Denny is Texas Clear body or opaline clear body
@@dennythebudgie Benji is normal dark green budgie
@@badrulamin9410 What about the wings? 😆 he is not clearbody, cuz he has over 3 colors
Hello, can I visually see on the budgie if a male budgie is a opaline carrier? Like split for opaline?
Hi, I think in genetics and contrary to what you mentioned in your video the male always has a XY and the female has a XX !!
Exactly
How about,Complete dominant, incomplete dominant, and co-dominant. For example, what the result grey x violet, etc. Thanks.
Wonderful vid bro can you make a vid over overlapping features for instance opaline and spangle and which character will be sex linked among the two? I am fond of rainbow budgies I would love to understand how you can make a rainbow out of other mutations inbreeding them and if you may have different kind of rainbow in colors in the outcome for instance blue violet yellow or green
of course, but I need to cover a lot of mutations before I can get to rainbow and mixed varieties.
@@BudgieWorld love that
I bought budgie pair 2 months ago, they didn't want to stay in cage and bcoz of trying come out of the cage one budgie got injured his right wing so that's why I don't put them in cage day time they come in the cage only in night so is it good?and they eat from my hand but when I bring my hand near to them without food they afraid of my hand so what to do with them?do I have to force them to live in cage only?
What about spankled parekeet
My opaline budgie doesn't have any black markings on her wings. In fact, she is almost an inu (yellow) gene besides a tiny black spot on her right shoulder (top of the wing).
I am struggling to finding her type. What gene is she?!
I'd like to know about rainbow budgies?
My budgie got all the sign opaline except it has a pinkish feet is that mean it's not an opaline?
Can female Budgies carry the clear wings mutation ?
can u tell me about my budgies genetics my male green normal budgie mated with a blue opaline female and had three blue opaline chicks ??????
If your male is not opaline that means he's a carrier, you can easily make your own punnett square and see the results for your self.
25% - normal females
25% - opaline females
25% - normal/ carrier males (like the father)
25% - opaline males
We did cover the genetics on this one, make sure to watch until the end of the video, and see the ino and cinnamon mutations videos as well, they all have the same punnett square since they all are sex linked mutations
So what if I have a Recessive mom and a split for Opaline Grey Wing dad?

I have a adult rainbow green male active budgie, which is not mating with adult female, no sign of mating too... Please do help me
I want to know the difference between Clearwings and Greywings Budgie, thanks in advance
Greywing is common and Clearwing is uncommon
Bw what exactly are fallow budgies? And yes I loved this video...because you explained so well💚🐦😊
Hopefully the fallow budgie coming soon
Love from India❤️
What will be the result if I cross breed between a SFS and a Opaline budgie?
Please reply
Spangled opaline. What will be the babyd
The video is amazing however what is confusing for me is that you refer to the male as xx and the female as xy is tjat so? Are they the opposite of humans?
Yes birds, are opposite to us. Actually it did confuse me too at first, until I figured they are the opposite of mammals
@@BudgieWorld okay great to know, thanks a lot for the video and for the reply!
I have a 3 month old Opaline light blue with a light yellow forehead and face and a few yellow feathers on the tail! I think it is a male because it has a pink purple cere and tries to feed and mount my other blue 3 month old baby!! Would he be an Opaline with double factor yellow face? That was a mouthful 😂
A rainbow!!! How does it look now?
my coco baby is opaline
Rumbo ?
First
i just loss my one violet budgies
Isnt XX female ? and XY male???
he just named it xx and xy but birds do not have the xx xy system.
i have an albino lol
Clear wing
It makes no sense to me as I can't tell the difference even with watching these video's all I see nice colored babies. Guess I have to watch them a few more times
Males are xy not xx
birds have zz
Females are X X and males are X Y
