My budgie did that but she didn’t have a male budgie she was mating with us and making eggs hurting her tiny body then when l was at school she was in pain my mum and dad bring her to the vet but died before they got there because she couldn’t cope with how much eggs she had

I have have ablino and a lutino. Both females, their mates died over the past two years. Sunshine is the lutino, about 6/7 years old but she's still thriving. Jasmine my albino is about 4/5 but her eyes have gotten darker, when she was a baby her eyes were bright red but now their a kind of red tinted black. Does anyone have information on this? I'm quite worried bc her mate's death really hurt her and she kept scratching her foot to the point it bled so I'm not sure if it's something to do with grief or stress

I would love to make a video about the rainbow mutation, however that mutation is actually a mix of several mutations which all together make the "rainbow" budgie as we call it.
But before I do so, I'll have to explain more mutations :)
I have found your explanations of mutations and various other subject to be the best researched and explained of those that I have found on CZcams.I have viewed most if not all of them. I am trying to understand sex linked mutations and have not found a video that explains sex linked mutations in general. I have come to believe the following things and would like to know if they are true:
1. All sex linked mutations are recessive and are on the X chromosome, females carrying them must show them visually.
2. The Y chromosome on the female is irrelevant to the appearance of females with any sex linked mutations on their X chromosome.
3. Males can carry sex-linked mutations on one of their X chromosomes, but if he doesn't have as that mutation on both X chromosomes, then he won't show that mutation. If he passes that recessive, sex linked mutation's X chromosome to a daughter she will show the mutation, but a son That receives that X will be like his father and won't show the mutation unless his mother is a bird that shows that mutation. Those sons that receive the X chromosome with that sex linked mutation will be carriers like their father.
4. There are numerous sex linked mutations, a male may have different sex linked mutations on different of their X chromosomes.
And now several other genetic and mutation questions:
1. Have you already done or will you do a video about sex linked mutations that explain the conclusions as well as any other things that I have missed? I know that I have written them down in such an awkward way but are my conclusions correct?
2. Can a male carry multiple or even all of the sex linked mutations on the just one of his X chromosomes?
3. Are any mutations on the Y chromosome, which I assume that would make all who have it females?
Thank you for producing these videos, they have greatly increased my understanding of the breeding of my budgies.
I have a albino budgie it has white cere what does it mean?
I have a three year old white male bird with dark eyes, pink legs and a small but noticeable patch of light blue on his belly. Because he's three and doesn't fit the criteria for an albino (small patch of blue and dark eyes) I have no idea why his cere is still pink . If he's not albino, why is his cere still pink given that he's now three?

My budgie Tweety (on the latest video) is a creamino budgie - but it is officially called recessive pied. Check him out! He has no red eyes. For the ones who want to see another mutation.
No, Recessive Pied and Creamino are different, I have recessive pied budgie, and they can have colors like green blue and they do have black color on their body. Creamino cannot have colors other than white and yellow. and of course Creamino budgies have to have red eyes, if your budgie doesn't have red eyes then it's not a creamino.

Hello, i know i am late to this video but i have a question
My budgjes have been in a other terrible home before i adopted them and they are totally scared of my hand and flutter aroung when i put my hand in the cage to give food and water even tho i have had them for 2 years. We have had little baby steps like eating small bits of millet sprays out of my hand while i hold it and sometimes they let me get close while they eat the millet and touch their stomachs but right after i touch them they fly away. I dont know what to do and i am on the verge of giving up on them and resorting to giving them away. Please help

I have a tendency to collect white and albino budgies. I only have two males in my flock and my albino male is obsessed with my Lutino male. Constantly following him, grooming him, attempting to mount and bringing him things! We usually remove any eggs laid because we know that there are ailments that come with breeding (INO) gene but one of my favorite females was growing a bit old and she was quite persistent on brooding her clutch so I allowed her to do so. All of her chicks were a cream yellow so I decided to do a bit of an experiment and isolated half of my females with my albino male and half of my females with my lutino male- turns out either my albino male was gay or completely infertile because he didn't have a single chick haha

Yes, if you breed split ino male with ino female you will have 25% normal females, 25% ino females, 25% normal males split ino and 25% ino males.
In other words, half the offspring will be inos, half the females and half the males
