"Thank You" Skatelab and Channel Street

- Thank You Skate Co launched recently, and to give back to both Torey and Daewon’s early stomping grounds the brand has decided to release boards with proceeds tied to both Skatelab and Channel street’s Non-profit’s.

Wish Torey acknowledged Skatelab WAY more in his career. Was friends with Jessie, but he didn’t actually skate much. I was able to make AM then had to grow up and realize I wasn’t gonna be a Career Pro. I skated almost 3-4 times a week with Tor, Skatelab is literally what MADE HIM. If you knew his family and his prospects, the fact Todd and Scott decided to let him skate FREE cause he was progressing fast and couldn’t skate anywhere else… IS HUGE ! There would be no T-Pud WITHOUT Skatelab, I promise you that.
I made my first board from plywood and some metal strap on skates, if I still had it I would send it to the museum. Keep doing what you are doing.👍🏼👍🏼

Skateboarding is the construct of who..., a lot of people are today! Till this very day, I still plan runs through tight spaces, and check out hairy ledges...my independent spirit still owes a lot to skateboarding!!

2:04 - 16 year old me is in the Photograffiti section of that mag doing a kickflip off a ledge! October 1999! Just recently got a copy of that issue.

I used to beg my mom to drive me to Skatelab. I did summer camp there and Wee Man rolled up and shredded. Been aching to get home and shred it.
