I watch and listen to both celine Dion, and Lara Fabien, and as much as I love Celine Dion. I have to give the edge to Lara Fabien
I like Celine Dion, but I love Lara Fabian. I hated that, at the beginning of her career, the media compare her to Celine, or even said that Lara is imitating Celine. For me, they have a very different voice tones. Lara's when sing and performed she inhibit the song, you can see in her body language that she is the song, maybe it is her soprano background study. Her voice make your soul vibrate with passion, with sweetness and vulnerability. Once you hear her, you can't unhear her, whether she belted out or sing with an inimaginable gentleness, your being just transcend with her marvellous voice.
I absolutely agree with everything you say ! I personally think Lara is the best Vocalist on the Planet !! her rise to fame was absolutely thwarted by Celines marketing machine !!!!
Lara is the living evidence that you can have a great career in the world outside the USA ,,,.
Lara is one of THE BEST VOCALISTS in the WORLD !!
Finally !...Someone has explained to me why Lara Fabian hasnt been recognized as one most beautiful and powerful singing voices in this moment in time .
A voice that could bring a grown man to his knees ...
I am a 60 year old man that tears up everytime I hear her sing this. I have listened to her sing it 100 times and it always has the same impact.
Same, but 56.
Same, but 74.
Same... 51
Idem for me
65 and the same
lara fabian is so underrated singer... it is almost crime she havent got appreciation she deserves '
I don't speak Italian, but this rendition hits me hard every time.
Thank you for that! I'm a polyglot like her she's fluent in 4 language and I'm speak 5, however she sings in 11 languages and with perfect diction. I'm totally jealous and amazed at her artistic ability. She is also a fantastic person.
I'm 88 years old. and this brought tears to my eyes, Thank you so much. I love this women.
Lara is absolutely subline ............No one LIVES a performances like she does
Lara,s version is by far the greatest representation of this beautiful song !
It's not only the voice, she's singing her own emotions into us, into our souls. Direct soul-to-soul communication in all her songs, , we know you feel it. So do we,,,,,,,,,,Top vocaliste in the world, speak fluently 4 languages, major star in Europe, # 1 in Russia ... Sony music sign her in 1999 and the Céline Dion group did not like it and that story, i will let others telling it. I grew up in Québec Province, Céline is great, but Lara is the Queen
Lara is my favorite female vocalist……I only learned of her in the Covid pandemic. Celine leaves me cold Lara fills my heart🥰
I have known Lara for longer than you but can listen and watch her again and again and will never stop until I am no longer on Earth. Even her speaking voice has marvellous resonance. I feel the main difference between Celine and Lara is the warmth in their voices. I have seen her work from the beginning to the present day, and, musically speaking, she has never failed my expectations. Happy listening!
Hi, Rosalie. Quite a mouthful about comparisons, singing as an art, and what the lyrics of the song is about.
Despite the history of Lara's experience in her music career, the Lord has blessed her even more. It would appear that she did not fuss about it much but instead quietly moved her talent to places where it approved and appreciated. Now, look at her successes even though years later...it came in abundance...the fruit of faith and utter dedication. She has become the beautiful person who she is, blessed with the best of vocal abilities and skills, not to mention her superb and gripping stage performances. What a master and gem we have in our midst. She has become my personal female DEAR!
Thank you, too, for your reaction to Caruso.
You are right..the music market was being prepared for Celine..and yes..lara was pushed back so Celine could shine.
Sad...but true
Personally I prefer listening to lara over and over as she takes your mind and soul on a journey.
Lara is like the snowman or Peter Pan, she takes you by the hand and takes you on a journey through the song and it is amazing the emotion she has in her voice is 2and to none. Iv listened to music for over 50 years and no one ever breaks me down like this Angel she is true vocal royalty. Even her breathing has emotion. She is one in forever and I cry like a child when I hear her sing, what a gift. 😇💐🌻🥂
Lara is the Queen of Resonance. Celine has a much more forward placement which gives her that nasal like sound. Whereas Lara has further back placement that goes over the top of her resonators creating a fuller velvety type sound. Beautiful.
Best rendition of Caruso. Ever. Her vocals, emotions, breath control, the transitions from talking to singing, the piano. Everything is spot on
Please react to You’re not from here from the same concert
well said. thank you for the suggestion :) I'll see what I can do.
@@rosalieelliottofficial hello flower. this is google translate, sorry. She is perfect
Loved your reaction. Its shows a deeper understanding of the voice and the artist. Lara is the best performer I have ever seen and heard.
Podrías reaccionar a Broken wow,

Apart from sublime technique and sound what Lara Fabian brings is emotional honesty and transparency. It’s her response to what life throws at us and that is entirely unique.
Already italian is the best latin language to sing... But if you have those beautiful and emotional Lyrics and the level of this artist, you obtain a pure gem. From a Frenchman.
I adore Lara. Masterclass, the whole musical package - perfection. As are you, Rosalie, you're amazing and a kind and lovely person. God bless.❤
First time I ever heard her. Thank you for this gift.
thank you for listening and being open to new music. that's a true ride or die!
I like me so much your reactions and your sensibility. Greatings from Montevideo, Uruguay South América. Kisses
thank you. Greetings to Uruguay
She is fantastic...just the right amount of histrionics. She is a performer through and through, the consummate artist.
Who ever posted this version of Caruso by Lara Fabian added some echo to the sound mix, IMHO the versions that are not altered, sound much better and truer to the actual performance. Good review!
grazie mille per questo bellissimo video
When she was recording adagio at the studio in the USA Tony Mottola (Sony music president.. And one of Celine producer) along with other famous actors went to the studio to listen at Lara.. And they did suddenly realize how big and great she was.. And exactly she was dangerous for Celine' s career so they did everything was possible to bann and black out Lara in the USA market.. That's why Lara moved to other markets.. I like Celine dion, she is a great singer, but.. As technique. Breath control, interpretation and passion and dynamic and diction.. Lara is another level. Not to mention that Lara can sing in more than 10 languages and she does write her own music and lyric .. She did write more that 260 songs ..Celine is a singer.. Lara is a full complete artist.. Even about back training, Lara did study for 10 years classis singing ( she is a soprano even if she is so camaleontic and well trained that you barely can realize it) , composition and piano at royal conservatory of bruxelles and till now she get singing lessons.. Celine has not the same training.
Yet another magnificent FEMALE ARTIST that slipped through the net, she should be legendary status, but unless you are British or American you've got no chance, the only loser is the listener who misses out on such great TALENT 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
I was raised listening to Pavarotti because of my mother's love of opera.... so his version of Caruso was golden to me.. until I heard Lara do her version in her televised concert here in Canada in 2000.. and well then her version was my new fave!!! To be fair I love them both sooooooo very much.. and Pavarotti's version is truly soul moving as well. Anyway.... Lara can do no wrong in my eyes.. and ears... lol...... but please give Pavarotti's version a reaction. It's gorgeous!!!!! Love from Canada!! 😊🍁
Lara just reaches the depths of your being and soul. Please put her song, "Broken Vow" on your list - she wrote and performed it. Make sure you listen to her verbal intro where she talks about the magic she feels and envelops her when she wrote this song. Just awesome.
Thanks for your thoughts and comments, Rosalie - you are truly special ❤️ too!
Thank you for the kind words and the suggestion :) that one is on my list too :)
Exelente reaccion!
Welcome to the Masterclass that is Lara Fabian !
I think previously, I challenged you to react to "You're not from here" ! You will lose your soul !
Salut Rosalie, la plus belle interprétation à ce jour dit par Lucio Dalla lui même, elle est hors concours la belle Lara , un salut cordil du sud de la France, André
Salut Andre. Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire. Lara est très spécial.
👉 Enrico Caruso (*1873 in Naples, † 1921 ibid; actually Errico Caruso) was an Italian opera singer. He is considered the most famous lyrical tenor of the early 20th century and one of the most important singers in the world of opera.
Caruso was famous for his baritone-like timbre and stage presence. In a performance of La Bohème he sang an aria for the suddenly voiceless bass so convincingly that no one in the audience noticed.
Caruso established a new, exemplary style of singing in which the focus was not on beautiful performance but on becoming one with the character being portrayed.
Caruso is the name everyone knows and to which every opera singer is compared. Those who have seen him describe the onset of his voice with the warm power of an organ.
Caruso still holds the record of 863 appearances on the Metropolitan Opera stage.
And it was Caruso who initiated the triumph of the record with his work.
Caruso's generosity was legendary. For example, during his most successful years at the Metropolitan Opera, he gave almost all employees Christmas presents.
His sense of humor was also famous. Again and again he joked with his stage colleagues, for example sewing up a sleeve of a coat that a colleague in La Bohème had to wear during the performance, or filling water in a discarded hat that someone had to wear in the performance.
3 years before his death he married the American millionaire daughter Dorothy Park Benjamin. With her he had a daughter, Gloria, at the age of 45.
He died at the age of 48 from protracted pleurisy and blood poisoning.

Hi Tirallala, Nice information, Thank you. Also for the link to Caruso. He is probably the most famous tenor. Just like Maria Callas is the most famous soprano. I've known both of them since childhood. And that's a long time ago. 🤣😂
Someone wrote..."As a man, sometimes it literally distract me because she's so georgeus it's almost painful..In a good way. The fact that someone so physically blessed also is the greatest female singer i've ever heard is just overwhelming. Yeah..i'm in love with someone i'll never meet".❤️ Thank you for this beautiful reactionvideo.
That's exactly it.
Лара моя королева! Обожаю ее
Lara is an amazing vocalust and artist. You should hear her new song from about a month ago: ta paine
Because not understanding the lyrics of the song, there are no breaks in the video...this song to be understood and felt in Lara's voice, you have to know the lyrics....what she is singing!!!
So lovely to hear your comments. You are a masterpiece to hear and see.
Thank you so much! That is very kind and encouraging!!
Hello Rosalie, great reaction. Lara's way of empathizing with the song and thereby transporting emotions is outstanding. Lara feels the song. And she can sing too 😅🙂🤣.
Lara has influenced many other artists. E.g. Dimash and Diana. She not only impresses the audience but also other artists who are in their development and can learn a lot from her.
The most emotional video I've seen so far is also from Lara Fabian. Anyone who has seen this will not forget it - I promise.

Lara whit love songs perdere l'amore
Gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to her sing this👏 😘🌟 💔 😭 ....Lara is a goddess!!!!😍 I actually had the opportunity of going to see Pavarotti in Stellenbosch (our winelands) here in Cape Town a few years ago and he performed Caruso - Caruso was something I heard often when I was very young at home... I hadn't yet heard Lara's version and now that I can make that comparison, in my opinion she outshines Pav!!!! ☮❤ Sea Point, Cape Town
I know you have reacted to several Lara Fabian’s songs but I don’t think you’ve done this one yet. It’s actually a song by the French “Elvis” of his time (died in 2017) Johnny Hallyday. They turned it into a duet with Lara Fabian “Requiem pour un fou”. Not only were they literally singing in the rain but it is so incredibly powerful. I think I held my breath the entire song. If I understood it right, the song is about a killer and one of his potential victims who fall in love. The scene is that they are surrounded by police and professing their undying love for each other. Extremely powerful
Her mother was sicilian and Lara was raised in Sicily her first 7 or 8 years of her life. And by the way , Romanian is a latin language also.
Waiting now for you react to perdere amore with English subtitles
Another great reaction.
I love these reaction videos, especially when you react to Lara Fabian as she's one of my all time favorite artist in the entire world!! I would love if you reacted to her songs "broken vow", "perdere l'amore" or "you're not from here"🥰
Her mother died a few years ago from Lewy's Dementia. She wrote a beautiful song about the reality of this illness, in French, called L'Oubli (The Forgetting).
I hope you can translate that 😀
Oh, I didn't know that about her mother. So sad. I'll have to look for the song because, sadly, in a way I can relate to it. With my French not being as good as I'd like it to be, I had to translate the part where you quoted Lara and this is what I got, I hope it is accurate enough: "We have a strong bond, and in this link, a sharing that makes us unique... I feel in my being that I have to tell you this moment of my life, which is without a doubt, the most painful of all those I have lived to date".
"If I share it with you, it is because I would not want things to be said other than with dignity. So, without distortion, I write to you, from my broken heart... My mom just left us. Her soul came to hug me one last time last night"
Thank you for your comment.
Next ? Lara Fabian : Je t ' aime - live in Paris 2001 as a Metalhead love this Song
I don't think I've ever seen a song sung/performed so perfectly in my entire life . What else can I say other than that?
Loved watching you with this masterpiece. She is the Queen, long may she reign. A little below on the backstory to this song. Please read and then re-listen to the song. I adore Luciano Pavarotti, and "adore" barely scratches the surface. I am a child of the Pavarotti Era and we all worshipped him, live, I remember seeing him live like it was yesterday. There have been only two voices that can make me tear up just hearing them. Luciano and Lara. Luciano's "Caruso" is traditional, he uses the high notes at the end of phrases to go big. She uses them to go angelic. Her interpretation is vastly different. And in all do respect - molto rispetto - to the Maestro, I like Lara's better. The song is very beautiful, covered by many, and it is about the dying days of Enrico Caruso (the O.G., the Original Gangster of modern opera and a worldwide superstar on the order of Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra combined). He married a women, an heiress, in a very public affair. Caruso died young at 48, his wife was much younger, in 1921. Caruso made it to the phonogragh era however and was so popular that he single handily is responsible for insane demand of phonograghs for the rich early on as you simply HAD to have the record and the player to show and delight your friends with Enrico Caruso. Lucio Dalla, the author, imagined those gut wrenching dying days of Enrico, saying goodbye to his young wife. Dalla visited the Hotel where Caruso and his wife stayed often, the actual room in fact, on the Gulf of Sorrento (hence the words in the song). Lara sings - Gulf of "Surriento" not Surrento - not a mistake. "Surriento" is the Neapolitan word for Surrento, a word which Caruso would have used (He was born in Naples). LARA. MISSES. NOTHING. Beautiful song, beautifully...masterfully done, in perfect Italian. Knowing the backstory only makes one cry a little more the next time you listen to this, and you will. She has you now as she has all of us.
thank you for taking the time to share these interesting details. I can tell you know much about her and her work as well as the other artists. Thank you for sharing.
@@rosalieelliottofficial No thank you Rosalie. keep it up, keep great music and artists alive please. With talent on loan from God, combined with compulsive-like dedication, makes for a very very rare experience. They come along once, maybe twice in a generation. Lara gives every single note her FULL attention. She will study each note, message it, color it, until she has it where she wants and can use it to steer your emotions to where they need to go. Everything she does is intentional. She is the Queen, long may she reign. A great test of an artist is when you have heard something 100 times and still cry when you are supposed to, laugh or feel joy on que. Our Queen mesmorizes you and toys with your emotions at will, her will, sometimes against your will. The greatest performing artist of the last 30 years. Lara Fabian.
Portuguese language is very beautiful sung as well. I do recommend hearing Greek ballads as well, it isn't a latin language but it is very melodic when spoken let alone sung.
Les sirènes d Ulysse chantaient au large de Sorrente, et elles chantaient quoi d après vous?
Lara becomes hersong sheextracts all the meaning and emotion the song has to offer she has a fantastic ability to emote and transmit the passion of her songs. She has thie empathic transmission offerlingto whoever is listening..
You may find whatever vocal similarities you like between these two creatures. One similarity you will never find is about their characters. Lara's honest childish heart has nothing to do with cold as ice Celine. She did everything she could through her rich husband and Sony Music to block Lara's career in USA. And she succeeded. And she never felt any regret for this brutality. Because of that and a tragic love story Lara came very close to suicidal thoughts. First time I run into you but I subscribed my dear. Because you deserve it
In Canada both Laura and Celine were superstars. We are a sort of bridge between Europe and America, but both were equal until the US made Celine a mega star. That influenced Canadians to follow the US.
Lara puts so much feeling into her singing.
il primo disco mai inciso fu di Caruso ❤
Looks like you will hit and pass 10K by Labor Day Rose!
i know!! it's crazy!! My personal goal was end of sept and I think I'll make it before. it's amazing and exciting
@@rosalieelliottofficial I think 10k might happen today Rose!!! 20k is going to come quick!
And as an Italian and a Neapolitan, I affirm that Lara, as always, has done a splendid job.
Your analysis is very well established and beautiful, as always.☺
top comment deserved
Thank you very much!! I agree with you. She did a splendid job indeed.
I absolutely loved your analysis and reaction to the video.. oh! And by the way, I also loved your blouse, colour and all, goes with the decor.
thank you very much! a close friend found the blouse at a thrift store and i loved it! when she decided not to buy, I had to. :) thank you for your kind comment.
I really enjoy your rich reactions, thank you. Btw, this is my favourite version of Caruso, a song which I love so much.
thank you very much! I understand why you feel that way
I"ll like that you listened Céline Dion and Ginette Reno at the summer festival of Québec city the song "un peu plus haut ,un plus plus loin" two rare voice.
Hi Rosalie, another great reaction, you always brighten my day, thank you.
thank you very much :)
Lara is amazing and one of a kind. So emotional and touching. Applause.
I discovered Lara one night in the COVID lockdown looking for different versions of this, my favorite Italian song. Then I came across this beautiful woman doing it and I have listened to her every day since. I own all of her recordings. I just pray that I can see her live someday.
Amazing my friend Rosalie!!.. It's impossible to explain better all that you said about The Goddess Lara Fabian...One of the most stunning analysis of the better and most beautiful voice of the entire world!!...Thank you for that!!...You are one of the best too!!
Wow, thank you. I appreciate that very much
Hello, Celine Dion herself told him that he had a sweet voice even when he spoke.
Apparently Celine has a more metallic voice, Lara reached a very sweet soft melodic level. They both have nice songs though.
Salut Rosalie,
Merci.
Thank you for improving on your sound. Much appreciated.
I’m so so glad it’s gotten better!! Thank you very much for letting me know also. :)
By the way, Rosalie, was "Resonant" the word you were looking for ?
She is known to be the Queen of resonance: her resonance is consistent across most of her ramge as opposed to most others who are only resonant on a small portion of it.
She is nicknamrd The Ring for this reason.
oh yes! that's a good word. I like that. Well said. Thank you, Eric. Appreciate you and your kind, educational and eloquent comments.
I was thinking you were looking for the word rasp as you were clearly impressed at one point of the performance where Lara used a strong rasp....you actually touched your throat at that moment and you were clearly enthralled as we all were and are....
Thank you dear 🥰Rosalie🥰 I loved your facial expression during Caruso🎼the information about Carurso look at Tirallala but it seems like you had all the info yourself.. Lara 🌺Fabian is Dimash rolmodel dimash❤️ sings her songs and chose the same composer Igor Krutoy in Russia they call lara larosha maybe it would be nice to respond to Mademoiselle Hyde from both Mademoiselle Hyde composed by Igor Krutoy
Kind regards from the netherlands🌷🌷🇳🇱
thank you for the feedback and suggestion :) stay tuned for more
By the way Barbra is a big fan of Lara
The original is even better, by Lucio Dalla... even if he's not the best singer ever, but he was a genius and full of emotions... Lucio was from Bologna but loved Napoli (my city) so much and this song express that too ❤ in Italy this song is considered a masterpiece that will last forever.
Thank you for reacting to this ❤❤
Lara's version is always the best no matter what she is singing....
Rosalie, I love your reactions. They are so real and fun. You let your emotions shine through. I love your spunk. I do have one piece of advice. Every so often your face but many times your hands gets lost behind the screen that you are watching. If you look at your videos you can see the entire right hand side of the screen is empty except for your beautiful flowers. But I would rather see more of you. 🌺 Also angling to the microphone would be good so that you don’t get lost behind your microphone either. Keep having fun with your channel. It is shining through and is a true joy
Thank you so much, Toni! That is solid advice!! I’m grateful for the feedback and will keep that in mind.
Thank you also for the kind words :)
Wow 🥰 beautiful song 🤩 beautiful Lara Fabian ❤️
I think it's fair to say she really sang her heart and soul out here like she totally went all in.
The performance and her voice are great.
☺️
Hi Rosalie.
Long but good reaction video, you said so many right things about Lara :-D
I also know Luciano's version, which is much more operatic. Bigbrainsinger (another reactor on CZcams has a nice explanation in his reaction about the difference between Lara and Luciano), Love Lara's version bedst.
This time Lara sang in Italian. She speaks 4 languages fluently and writes texts in all 4 languages. She has sung in at least 12 languages.
How many languages do you speak, fluent ;-)
Love Lara ❤
Love from Denmark ❤
Lara is for real... Celine is a self-centered diva.
I just can't compare Celine to Lara.... Lara is just the complete package....she has it all...
Lara is a masterclass in singing... and she spent most of his life here in Québec, Canada... love your work Rosalie
The comments you made about Celine Dion's team is a well - known fact in Quebec, Lara was boycotted.
as you noted, "Caruso" was written to honor Enrico Caruso, the great Italian tenor who died young, shortly after his daughter was born.....this piece imagines Caruso's last words to his wife and his daughter........"Te voglio bene assai' (I love you very much)....originally written for a male tenor, all the great (and near great) male and female operatic performers have sung this piece
Both Celine and Lara live in Montreal 🇨🇦 but the talent and language competency fall in Lara's favour !
Love Lara Fabián. Everything she touches turns gold. Malade, Adagio, Je t'aime... All her original songs, versions and covers are spectacular. She speaks (or sings at least) different languages... She is unique. I just subscribed to your channel, I say hello from Panama, Central America. My name is Alexander. Love your final comments of creation.
Ty for your reaction! Loved it! Pls if time check out perdere l'amore. Its amazing!
Sony got involved & their was a gentleman’s or this case gentlelady’s agreement that Celine Dion was promoted in the States heavily & Lara had the rest of the World. At this time she was fluent in English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Probably, two old farts aka men making the decision. This concert was on PBS, Lara was wildly successful & stupid American’s, like me had no clue. I am grateful CZcams has provided such a rich volume of great artist. It’s a year later. 4/30/2024. Great reaction I subscribed today, Timothy in Tallahassee, Florida 😎🌴
Lara is incredible. I love her voice, Celine is from Quebec, Lara lives there 😎
