Sadly, we will never see this version of Thor in mcu. A Thor who can take a rocket launcher with ease. Iron man is always one step ahead. He did held his own pretty well though but Thor wins.

Comic Thor and Cinematic Thor together bear one similarity, their feats are all over the place. From withstanding the full force of a dying star, to getting hurt by Thanos' punches which by the way, could hardly generate as much force as a star.
One of great moments in comics, especially to Captain America. Good times when comics have good lessons and storylines.
This video made me remember why I loved comics, and how things are bad now.
Yeah, good times that will sadly not return. I don't often say this, but the moment all the soldiers saluted Cap and obeyed him, ignoring their retarded remote control commander's order, was REALLY thrilling and moving to me. And also the way it was finally Thor's respect for Cap that stopped the fight.
Not a Thor fan, but this story-line could change that. So well done. This is what a comic SHOULD be. Not just brainless, meaningless battles/skirmishes. This captures the conflicting emotions and conflict so well. I must track this down and read the whole thing.
Good writers make these characters best friends divided by ideological issues and personal flaws. Bad writers have them brawl like children because it fits their shitty plots.

Idk honestly, stand your ground wold be not advancing but not lowering your defenses. Standing down means to drop all hostilities. Nether seems terribly out of place in this scenario, jmo
He didn't tell them to 'stand down' because he hadn't talked Thor down yet. So, hunkering down while keeping your guard up seemed the wisest position to take.

I think people misunderstand what is so impressive about this fight. Thor is my favorite hero but I keep seeing all these people saying, "Oh Thor destroyed Iron Man. It wasn't even close." I think the point is that Iron Man fought tooth and nail to make his friend Thor see reason. Eventually Cap stepped in to help and they all had a heart to heart. Eventually I'd say Cap and Iron Man helped Thor see that reason. That's whats impressive to me.

Fernando Comics I hate the fact that we will never see like this again in Marvel Comics, And I heard about what they’re doing to Wally West Flash in DC it’s disgraceful, the line of comics has never been in such disarray. It all started when Jim Sterling Got Fired, Then Jack Kirby passed, and then all day needed was For Stan to kick the bucket from all the stress. Damn man. People Still Arguing About Thor Vs Hulk but I’m above that wondering where their incredible stories went with these SJW’s. I truly just want everything to be back the way they were before the disgusting skirmish and bring back moments like these, where it all feels real and you can feel for the character.

It annoys me that the writer keep failing all of Tony’s buster suits. I mean yea he does go up against powerful enemies but it’s not good writing for tony to make a suit made for someone and then fail (again and again and again)
You gotta realize most of the times he's used his buster suits were against people who were amped significantly and not in their base

I can say the way your doing it, it’s definitely different from ever other comic book team on CZcams keep it up fine tune it. If possible get all the groups of comics together and CZcams even use Digital, you got something of Gold on hand and a fan base.

I havent read this comic, but now I just might. Thor is a complete badass, even dented cap's shield with an offhand mistaken strike. Cap is equally a badass in a different way, having the full respect of the military for his character. Thats good writing, not making one character look good at the cost of others, showing that they are different and equally active parts in a story
Whenever iron man is fighting a powerhouse I know I'm in for the best mechanical destruction/damage artwork around, my favorite thing about Iron man is how the artists are able to make me feel the impact

Not a bad fight, but everything that followed was the real gold. It had true emotion behind it.
This is definitely my top 5 comic fights of all time. Iron man is my favorite hero and was fighting King Thor tooth and nail. People need to stop underestimating Iron man he probably would've won if he kept fighting smart instead of letting his Ego get in the way and fighting Thor with hands 💀. My favorite panels we're definitely "Stand your Ground", and "I still have the power of Iron Man".

Either way, Captain America fought smartly here which is better to see, he did not just try to take on Thor, he tried to calm him down in a moral standpoint.

@@vincentawauh6160 Idk, I've never seen it that way. To me it's always been where he needs to approach each threat a different way. The armors always serve a specific purpose and often don't work against others because increasing a strength one way creates a weakness in another.
In this case it's just that even when you do approach with "Prep Time," it's still never enough....

Read the story please, Thor was trying to wage war on simple Earth politics when he had no right in doing so, he was justified for trying to help the local people but as Cap said, this is not the way they should do it. Thor was the one being impractical and Cap puts him in his place, Stark was just being cautious. Imagine a god like that waging war on Earth, of course you'd want to kill him before he does. Captain America was the only one able to see through this situation.

His buster armors are made to defeat specific heroes, right? Then why do they keep losing? The answer is so BRAINDEAD easy, it frustrates me that no writer thought about this: He's trying to beat them at their own game.
I mean, think about it: Does making armours to win a slugfest against the strongest being on earth (Hulk), the god of thunder and strength (Thor) and a cosmic guardian (Captain Marvel) sounds like a good idea to you? OF COURSE NOT! But he still does it, and gets curb stomped on the end, WITHOUT LEARNING HIS LESSON!!!
I don't know if it's Tony's ego or the writers incompetence, but it's about iron man learns to stop playing by his enemies rules and start taking them down in less conventional ways.
The hulkbuster could be smaller and durable, so that it can evade and take some of hulk's attacks more easily and have some method to reduce the green giant's radiation levels or calm him down to the point of turning him back into Bruce Banner. And this is just one of the examples.

Hmmm, makes me wonder how a proper thor buster suit would work with that idea in mind. He might take a page from loki and use a combination of camouflage tech and hologram tricky to try and throw thor off his game. Maybe try and use magnets to try and stall mojlnir’s return to throw when he throws it?

The suit was powered by Asgardian power sure but it's still made of basic materials. That's the issue with iron man gear, it's still made of material more fragile then the flesh of thor and hulk. Also pretty sure both sides holding back regardless of fight. They r friends and that's holding them back. Furthermore the suit was designed to fight a thor from previous data not this version of thor. Problem with tech, very easy to change the numbers. Any increase in ability and power and the formulas change.

I just figured it out. Comic writers of the old days used to concoct villains who were ruthless and the combined power of several friends and allies would undue them. Writers today pit the heroes against one another and villains don't even come into it. No wonder so many people today are at each other's throats. I am not ashamed to say that I formed my belief pattern about friendship, patriotism and moral standards from the combined influence of home, family, and entertainment of all kinds that taught my generation to respect order, lawful authority and what was right. Kids today being deluged with all this violence, video game killing, and mindless hate being spewed before they start throwing punches couldn't help but be the same. Sad.

Ironman really fought the strongest Thor with odin force wow I'm surprised and standed a chance
The Thorbuster suit is powered by the by the Odin-Force, effectively giving Stark power to withstand Thor’s fury and hard-counter Mjolnir. The only downside, as shown in the confrontation, is that it only works if fighting the Odin-Force or objects enchanted with it; Thor got around the armor by using his own strength, eventually being able to rip out the very reactor powering the suit. :)
