This was filmed in 1976. He was wearing the same outfit when I saw him at the Spokane Opera House in September of 1976. He had Richard Nanista on Bass and Andy Zoob on Drums. (Both Richard and Andy have passed away.) After the Spokane concert I visited with Peter backstage and later we walked back to the Sheraton Hotel where we were both staying. What a night that was!
You just run out of superlatives. I bought my first Peter Nero album at the age of 16 and I have never stopped being amazed by Peter's original blend of jazz and classical rhythms. I've nominated him for a Kennedy Center honor. I hope it happens soon.....
