My partner and I first heard kd sing during the Olympics(in Calgary, I believe). We fell in love with her voice and never stopped listening to her. We'd go see her in concert whenever she'd come to ourarea. My partner passed away 12 years ago this past July 1st. It still seems like yesterday.

I think kd was struggling with a sinus condition. I don't know how she got through this so beautifully. She took a deep swallow before she started that last big blast that she always gives. She never complains, never makes excuses she just powers through whatever obstacle is facing her. Got to love her for that too. She is just the best!!!
