Her music is full of love and undying sadness at the acceptance of who she is.. Tale it or leave it, this woman is the bomb!!!

Legend!! Love her so much, and can we just talk about the quality of her voice also!! One of the most underrated singers I’ve ever come across, and I don’t say THAT very often trust me, but in her case I don’t believe that I’m wrong in the slightest possible regard!! Her voice is so extremely special it’s deceptive because she doesn’t make any kind of song and dance about it, she’s so humble and full of gratitude that for some inexplicable reason it seems to take attention away from that seriously incredible talent and that absolutely one of a kind voice!! The tone she possesses, and the ability to sing without apparently a huge amount of volume and yet when she takes the lid off so to speak, Jesus Wept!!! That woman can BELT FORTISSIMO, whilst retaining total control!!! I don’t think people understand just how incredibly rare what she is in command of is, truly!! And I hold my own hand up too!! It’s not until relatively recently that I realised just how gifted and incredible she really is, but damn it, I know now, that’s for damn sure in east Baltimore lol!! I like to listen to every interview k d has as well as every performance. When she was young ( like in the interview with Webster ) & her early performances she seems to have so much fun. Is it not so much in recent times? She's so wonderful I want her to always be happy. And her Mom? So cute as well.

That's the biggest regret I Have : not being able to attend an INGENUE Concert ....Because I Discovered Constant Craving on the French musical channel...some days before the Paris Concert at the Olympia, in june 93 & when I heard her voice, it was just the tone I love...(I was listening to singers like Rita Coolidge & Jennifer Warnes in my teenage years) So, even if I wasn't too far away from Paris, it was probably too late....& sold out.... 😪

This was around the time when I listened to her in an interview. When asked about changes, she said that she felt as though she was becoming more feminine as aged. She never tried to control her growth in any area of her process but just allowed herself to be whatever she was becoming. So when she ended up masculine, it was a natural and gradual process that she just accepted as she did with whatever else came her way. She's the most honest and truthful person I have ever encountered.
There are some songs that kd sings that look as if she transends herself, this being one. I don't know how to explain it but it is amazing to watch and hear. This song and Hallelujah being two. Others may try but how and who can ever top kd lang?
Her voice is sweet when she's speaking. Amazing when she sings! Her song presentations are full of emotions that I can feel. She's lovely!❤
