@@RiotHomeRecording that sounds my pbass dream tune. I have a 1073 and I'll try that later with my pbass. Do you think the DI might influence the bass tone?
That’s great to hear thank you! As I’m sure you know, analog is fun, but not entirely necessary to do a great mix as plug ins and the DAW is so powerful now. I really like hybrid mixing using both the DAW/plug ins & Hardware together to achieve the mix I’m going for. Thank you Steve
Very nice overall "day at the studio" topic. It makes things clear and looking simple (and that's tough to achieve). Thanks for the additional comments at the end: "the band pays for the studio, it's their studio". Should've been be obvious. Now it is. Thanks :--)
Thanks to the band for allowing you to share their session. A fresh approach to CZcams content. I appreciate these views of the process and your commentary rooted in your experiences. I hope you stay motivated to keep posting. All the best.
@@RiotHomeRecording welcome my friend. Today on Monday I expect my MA-301s to arrive. I have deep trouble now. Last days I bought a used API 512v on eBay Germany and yesterday I tested the 512v fueling my ride. The preamp is dead.....it worked for 1 hour or so and then it created loud cracking noise, when I turned the gain knob the noise got crazy and suddenly the gain knob was dead, at full throttle nearly zero gain. I contacted the privat seller via eBay asking for an exchange (because HE still has 4 years warranty), instead of saying sorry or anything friendly he gave advise to me how to use a mic preamp and how to use condenser and dynamic mics, treating me like a stupid guy who has no clue. I am claiming the warranty case now. Have a nice day.
@@mrsayang well that sucks but it is probably a failed 2520 opamp. They are easy to replace if they’re socketed which I think they are on the 512V’s if not, it requires a little more work, but still not a huge deal. Either way if you bought it off eBay and paid with PayPal you should be protected.
@@RiotHomeRecording I am sure that the opamp is dead and yes it has a 2520. This eBay deal was unprotected....but I will try to call eBay for help today anyway.
Great video bro. That shit sounds tight bro. Wish we were still jamming togather. One of these days gotta get over and jam out bro. Again awesome video my brother!!!! Like those sticks to he said he got them at Midlo music?
Omg...the bass sound is amazing!
did you get this amazing bass tone just with a di and a neve preamp? that's it?
@@bncprado Great video, really enjoyed it I hope RIOT do more of this , I'd like to see the mix too,
@@bernie8835 I've been following him for a long time and he always gets amazing sounds from his stuff.

Yes that’s it, the only other thing I have on it is the decapitor plug in dialed in lightly.

Use what has been industry standard for the last 40 or 50 years. No need to re invent the wheel. That's exactly what I do.
Absolutely 👍

Yes he got them at Midlothian Music the morning we tracked this session. He liked the sticks they had grooves and a tacky feel to them.
@@RiotHomeRecording nice I’m gonna pick up a few pairs I think. Thanks bro!!👍🏻👍🏻
