The pylon thing is way better than you seem to think! It's not that it extends your range by only 100' for each pylon. It's that if your storage heart is within 100' of a pylon--like at your main base--then you suddenly get the full access range *from every pylon*. This works with the portable access, which means that with correct pylon setup, you can actually have complete map coverage way before Moon Lord!
I'm not sure if you knew this and just didn't mention or if you didn't know, but I don't think the mod itself explains it super well. Coming back to this video because I know I watched it when I first was getting set up a few weeks ago, and I thought this might help somebody. Otherwise it's a very good explanation and this is an amazing mod.
Was just installing the mod today and wondering about the pylon thing. That's good to know. Also good incentive to get the pylons settled earlier than later.
So you can have a pylon on the opposite side of the map and get access in pre-hardmode? As long as you're within 100 blocks?
I been playing Terraria since 2011 when Skeletron was the final boss and you could only fight him once.
The amount of love the devs and community have poured into this game is jaw-dropping.
Anyway, picking this game back up after a few years. I'm at late pre-hardmode and almost off the fence on using this or vanilla storage.
I enjoy building, creating a forge, an alchemy lab, etc. But damn there's so many items. More than ever.
Feels like it's at a point where Magic Storage could plausibly be considered a vanilla, core feature.

I love how vanilla terraria has one of the most convenient inventory and storage systems in any survival/sandbox games and a lot of players are like "Fuck this shit!!! Give me my ultimate storage that looks and feels like I'm cheating items in or operating a warehouse database" XD Not hating, just funny
That is really true, it does have quick stack in vanilla but man there's so many items to keep track of.
Convenient for vanilla yes, but once you step into modded territory the amount of items take up waay too much space with normal chests, also modded crafting trees are stupid
@@lilreaper2132 yeah, I did think mods must be a part of it for the reason you've stated. And also probably when you encounter new obscure items you can be unsure what they do and which chest they belong in
The main reason is modded adds a lot of new items and normal storage would take up a lot of space so we use magic storage. But whenever I'm doing a vanilla playthrough, I never use magic storage.
@@disricardo-9299 yea, it makes Magic Storage a must-have mod, without it you will move about as fast as sloth on wheelchair.

can someone help me i cant find this mod in the browser it says no matching entries and whenever i reload the browser it doesn't change I type in magic storage and just storage mod both same thing happened pls help me

1 - install cheat sheet mod
2 - get 999 tera storage units
3 - ???
4 - profit.
not gonna lie this is also an EXTREMELY valid strategy and I used to do it! Thought I was the only one.
I did all the things you made in the video bu i cant accsess the storage with a remote storage, it says "This accsess is not connected to a Storge Heart!" Wtf does that mean ofc it doesnt need to connect because its a freaking remote storage + doesnt let me to connect them. I used the Locator too!! What can i do??
A question; I've recently started my first playthrough using this mod. I play on controller though, and this mod seems to like...not work with controller at all? I can't access the UI of the storages no matter what buttons I press and I've looked in the settings too. Is the mod completely irrelevant on controller? Anyone who knows I'd love an answer, thanks in advance.
is there a way to remove all placed storage units? i know you can use the storage wand to disable a unit which then transfers its items to the nearest vacant storage unit, allowing you to break the disabled/empty unit.
but is there a way to remove a storage unit with items already in it without me having to go in and empty everything manually?
Unfortunately no, it must be empty in order to move it :(
Uhhh uhhh, I am currently in pre leviathan level on calamity and I have dozens of chests lying around and now I hear this. Gonna have to empty all the damn chests for magic storage system...
It's so worth it, and once you get it running and you have a good system, you will never wanna use chests again. I wish you luck :)
In can't launch a world with the mod activated it says that the mod is a version for Tmodloader v.2023 but I am on Tmodloader v.2024 and I don't find other versions or update. Pls help me 🥲
Try going through the mod browser and redownloading magic storage
Is there a way in vanilla so that whenever i get a stack it leaves a placeholder?

Can you make a mod or find a mod that makes boss and event summons non-consumable for vanilla and modded bosses?
I know calamity mod does this, try searching nonconsumable boss summons on tmod
@@Obsoleek yes, I have that mod installed but it only works with vanilla bosses. Modded bosses don't work

@@KwikBR well, tbh I have never played a single content mod. I only know the names of great mods like calamity, thorium, spirit. I literally don't know anything about what to do in them. But after browsing the mod search for a while I was able to find a mod that can do it for every vanilla and modded bosses. Its called infinite consumables. Basically you have to choose from mod configuration what items to make infinite and how much required to make it infinite
I wished the moon lord drop more radiant jewels it only drops one but I am playing with another person so only one of us can get the ultimate storage access

That’s odd, are all the items that you are using to craft in the storage heart and do you also have the crafting stations in the storage crafter ?

If you have a mod that lets you get the altars as an item, yes, you can just pop that in the crafting interface.
