"V1.0" tends to signify a finished version, or a full release, of a game or mod. With this in mind, it's kinda crazy how incomplete and low-polish Calamity's 1.0 is, huh?

@@purplehaze2358 it was literally the first version of calamity. the mod page for this one specifically mentions it idk why the mod porter calls it 1.0 tho.
It was complete, it was the first version. It's just that it's been improved overtime.
@@redstaria963 it wasn’t complete, multiple items in the original version where either completely broken, or unobtainable, and quite a bit of the current content was planned since 1.0

i miss the old terratomere, before the rework it was such a nice weapon. then it was moved to post providence then reworked. now its just a crappy fancy looking sword :c
yeah personally i never used the new terratomere, old one just hits different but i can understand why it was reworked
I never used the old one as I didn't get a chance to, but I just finished up my meelee playthrough and the current terratomere is fucking broken close range. To put it into perspective, I used it against poltherghast and my main weapon (don't remember what it was) was doing around 15k dm iirc. During the spinning souls attack where PG is just sitting there you can keep hitting it with Terratomere and tank the attacks, and it deals about 40k dmg per hit. It's absolutely busted if you find a chance to get close and use it

hey man got one question, is the statigel in classic perfectly balanced?

While I understand that the goal was to see what you can do today with v1.0 calamity items the comparison just doesn’t seem entirely fair when you are on v1.4.4 of base terraria. The items are out of their original context so of course they are going to be underwhelming. The balance issues are pretty funny though
I was contemplating rolling back to the original tmod version also but then i lose magic storage recipe browser, woulda been pain.
That’s completely fair, I made that comment like halfway through the video anyway and it made more sense for fighting the new version of the bosses anyway

I stayed up until 4 am, modding my Stardew Valley save for hours. Decided to watch a Terraria video to fall sleep. The madman used Stardew music in his video. I thought I was going crazy.

back then you could only get 1 summon slot so you could always only have a maximum of 1 minion
They fixed the Statigel having so much summon damage later on, it was the mods fault

I need to know, since I am quite new to calamity, and am too lazy to do any deep searching, what do you mean by "Anti-cheat worm protection"? Like what DoG does during the first few seconds of the fight, and the phase change where you can't hit the body to deal massive amounts of damage to the wrapped up segments, or like too many segments can't be hit.
worms have massive DR after spawning
Worms have damage reduction per segment hit. Piercing weapons do less and less damage for every additional segment so that worms don't get instantly shredded by infinitely piercing attacks.

How did you have so many enemies spawn during the grinding or event parts of the video. It was insane how many enemies there was on the nebula piller👀

Hey man, if you’re still reading and replying to these, can I ask how you do / make your subtitles, and how you colour certain words without it taking 20 years to do 😅
I use premiere pro auto subtitles you can probs find a tutorial on youtube. Subtitles wont be perfect so you gotta go back and edit it....for changing colour its just in the effects panel

1. Open "Storage Heart"
2. Click "Controls"
3. At the bottom of the list you can find "Sell duplicates"
Bonus: You must pick between "Keep least expensive" or "Keep most expensive" because by default keep a lot of the same item with different prefixes.

aerialite is now unmineable except post perforators/hive mind, so not pre boss
To add to the comment, before sone big updates when we still had the class lvl system aerialite was post evil to mine because of the pickaxe power or getting lucky with reaver shark, but it also spawned aerialite slimes when near that dropped the ore making it accesible pre boss
Where did your mini map go ? It would have made dog so much easier

why not use terraprisma instead of Stardust summons?
because terraprisma is pain to get in 1.0 calamity and he mostly uses 1.0 calamity stuff
