I would love to see a wall mounted reasonably priced scissors holder. I am a tailor and I have about 10 different pairs ranging from tiny embroidery up to 10” shears with big handles. It would be blades down wall mounted to keep them easy to grab but out of reach of the grandchildren

I'm glad your business model is working well. It's great to see people's hard work pay off. The irony (for me) is that your channel has been focusing more and more on the products you develop and sell and less on the underlying craft of woodworking. This means I'm less and less interested in watching your channel. I'm still subscribed, but I don't watch many of your videos anymore.

It’s an interesting perspective. IE: your openness to your highs and lows. In truth it’s unsettling to me. Only in that, people posting comments are so angry at times. I’ve been creating for many years. Not a bragging statement, made as much $ if not more than my educational/ work job. There is only a select few who know this about me. Only, because of the negativeness. I will not tolerate it, in my life. Recently, I directed a friend to your site. Watching a few of your first projects, to know. Her words were” impressive”. If a bunch of us all got the hot deals that youtubers get on products, we'd all be crushing it. I've needed a CNC machine for a few years now, no way I can afford them.
Be nice to get them phat deals on these lasers too.
Well after over 300 videos in six years. I think of it more like money earned instead of a deal. Let me just say this if I made per hour producing video contact for like two what I made per hour in my previous career in management. I would be doing better than I could imagine. I could afford 4 the CNC machines with no problem. Without getting what you call a “deal” try to change your perspective on exactly what happens with these so-called deals.
@@AGlimpseInsideI do work in the youtube business. And while not every genre works exactly the same for perks and payouts, most youtubers not going out and dropping 10k on a CNC machine, or buying expensive equipment without some sort of deal.
If you run your YT as a business, you're always looking for deals, sponsors or anything that can help you get the equipment at a discounted rate or free if possible. As this in turn is free advertisements to the MFG's as well, so they comply. How you set up that contract with payout is completely up to the youtuber and the clients though.
So, I was a bit annoyed by your title of "low ad revenue" and made the comment poking at the positive side of what you're doing.
It's frustrating because I don't get those opportunities you and other youtubers do to buy equipment at a far more fair rate. So instead I'm working for others to pay my bills vs working out of my shop watching people on youtube talk about ad revenue when ya'll at least get a fair CPM on your video's and are not constantly getting demonetized due to content.
Taking care of your family is what it is all about.
I have said this in previous videos, but have you ever considered getting a 3d printer for the shop? It would be very handy for prototyping and selling products that are awkward to make on the cnc.

Wanted to ask if you are making the "Work surface mounts" I don't have a way of using the digital file. Really like the way you made them.
There’s a product I meant Colby French cleat XL that would definitely work as a Worksurface. I demonstrated me standing on a shelf made from two of these on Instagram about a year ago. That will definitely work for a cantilevered countertop.

You used to make projects that inspired me and now all you do is the same old content not worthy of my time.
