Great video and great advice for taking the next step AND raising kids - be present! I often tell young couples either with kids or expecting that the most important thing when raising kids is to BE PRESENT. Kids will forget stuff or money or gifts but they always remember who showed up!

Chris you are a stand up dude. I discovered your videos after I got home from open heart surgery. I t was a extremely rough time for me. After surgery you cant sleep on your back and have to sleep sitting up in a recliner the pain is incredible.
Needless to say sleep did not come easy for a few weeks. I was up almost all night long most nights. I stumbled upon your video on a sleepless night and became a fan of the channel. I binged your all your videos. You helped me through many sleepless nights . Thank you brother !

Chris, I highly relate to your story since my I'm now on my journey of getting out of my own head and quiting my job for good. On the other hand my wife has also been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and you probably know by now that its a struggle and battle, but I can assure you is one to win. You have a BIG heart, lots of positivity and willpower and thats key for success and I highly admire you and enjoy your work. Sending strength and vigor your way man!

My wife has a condition called Chari Malformation. Kind of hard to explain, but what it causes is, the blood that gets pumped to her head cannot drain back to her heart fast enough so she gets a lot of pressure built up in her head. The headaches are non stop and can be debilitating at times. It's also caused some other issues like some memory loss and some balance issues when she's on her feet to long. She started doing custom tumblers a few years ago and she had made a little money with that. Last year I decided to jump on board with her and we bought a small laser. This year we bought a Xtool P2 and I took out a loan for a new garage/shop. We are kind of in a similar boat to the one you started in. I hope it floats. Lol. Your story is inspiring and I'm happy I found your channel. I hope your wife can overcome her problems or at least find something that will help.

Chris, although we didn’t get to meet your stepson on our visit I got the issues you were dealing with at that time. I’m so pleased to hear that things have really turned around. I had hoped, and have had some experience with, such changes. He has followed the good path forward and I attribute a lot of his success simply on the fact you, as parents, have provided the means. With that in hand he has taken the path forward. Please do keep everyone appraised on all the kids, and especially your spouse. I know it’s personal but you’ve put it out there, and it’s inspirational, good or bad, just how well everyone is doing. It’s definitely inspirational to those that may be struggling with their own challenges and seeing how well you are handling life is a great model for them to emulate. If we get back out that way again it would be my pleasure to take you to dinner or something similar. Our lack of time last April was not ideal, but we so enjoyed the visit. Oh, I may have introduced a young, motivated, father to your channel for needed motivation. Please continue moving forward.

It’s more or less something I came up with to dispense rolls of stickers and what not. The tape dispensers are from Uline. I just have them mounted on a simple French cleat bracket but nothing on the store because it’s more unique to my situation. But I’m down for any ideas

Well done Chris! Been a subscriber of yours for a few years now. One question if I may…is the $150k/yr your gross revenue or your profit? Additionally, is that from your woodworking business sales, your YT channel revenue or a combination of both? Rarely (if ever) do I see YT woodworkers who have been able to quit their day jobs due to having a successful woodworking business. It’s virtually always due to the income they make from being a “content provider”. I hope you have a minute to answer those two questions and congrats once again 👍

Are you able to say what that additional figure is? Can you at least indicate if it’s the same as you more than the product sales? Thanks again.
Oh no it’s a very much a gross income issue. I didn’t mention it in the video but I did put it in text in one part of the video, but it was very brief. CZcams revenue is almost nothing these days. Hardly even pays half the mortgage. Not complaining every little bit helps but the lions share of what keeps us afloat is through our website.

Hi, what is with the Hippo and the other animal on the back of your wall?
It’s a rhinoceros and an iguana that I cut on the laser with multiple layers of decorations and then filled them with resin. It was one of the first art projects I did when I got a laser and I thought it turned out cool so I just hung them up there.

Hi, I enjoy all your wood stuff you post, but it causes me pain hearing the pain with your family you have to deal with. I was listening to Tony Robbins and he said something that hit me regarding you and your family. He said 'if you know what you want, and how much you want it, like a new car, etc, you find a way to make it happen'. Step1. Be clear Step 2. Find and face truth, truth will set you free. truth where you are, where you want to be. Limiting beleif ( you said you tried everything, but nothing was fixed. There is a cure, and it pains me knowing what I know that there is a cure, but you aren't interested in hearing it because you already tried everything. Well everything except the cure that is) I hope you can make some more videos this year, they are normally great and enjoyable. I'm glad to hear you had such a great sucess for the buiness and having better access with your kids. That seems to be some of the most important things in life you were able to acomplish. Full-time now been doing it full-time for a little over two years. I wouldn’t necessarily call it full-time youtube though. The channel doesn’t even make enough money to support me alone in my 20s. Let alone this family of five. I’m more of a manufacturer who uses a CZcams channel to leverage to get sales. It’s the only way I could find to survive. Just the truth. Hope this gives you some good insight
