Is Donovan Mitchell the MVP Hiding in Plain Sight?

  • Donovan Mitchell is carving his name into the MVP discussion, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to one of the best records in the NBA. Despite missing Darius Garland and Evan Mobley for large portions of the season, Donovan Mitchell hasn't just kept the Cleveland Cavaliers afloat; he's elevated them to new heights.
With all of the stuff that he's been doing this year to help the Cleveland Cavaliers, my question is this: why shouldn't he be in the MVP discussion?

As a Sacramento fan, I dont really watch too many Cavs games but recently my Kings played against them and I gotta say....Spida and entire Cavs punkd Kings like Steph/Dubs did it in 2023 R1G7. We haven’t seen two bigs that can’t score outside the paint win together in the last decade, and haven’t seen two 6’1 guards win in probably even longer than that. Now that garland and mobley are injured they finally see what spida can do with allen, both are great players and were held back by having 2 guys that negatively affect their game in the starting lineup. Hopefully they trade garland and try to turn mobley to a 6th man role or other way around. They would win 6th man of the year every year and be a positive to the team.
