- The Cavs have shot up the East standings the last month just when 2 of their top 5 players got injured. Now they are healthy and still winning but underneath the surface, something is off in Cleveland.

The sports media really likes to shit on the small markets. They'd be happy if all the stars go to NY and LA.

The way the media is constantly pushing this narrative about Donovan Mitchell leaving the Cavs is so frustrating. Let the man play and enjoy his time with his team!
The media works for LeBron, and obviously LeBron can't countenance the Cavs doing well without him.
They were doing the same thing when he was in Utah
Players don't get to choose where they play. Stars do. I don't think Mitchell chose to play in Utah or Cleveland. But he will choose where he plays coming up.
Keep crying
@@whobitmynamenigga...wtf u talking bout? How tf you got Lebron involved with the Cavs current situation?
The Narrative around the Cavs for the last two seasons is just honestly sickening. People need to realize it takes time to not only build an identity, but also a team capable of winning it all. Everyone is so impatient. Last year, first round exit and everyone says to blow it up? it was the FIRST YEAR with this squad, and now look what they are doing now. the league is wanting Mitchell to go to a bigger market to make more money. Mitchell has said a million times he is going to do everything he can do to win in this team and NOT stated dissapointment or desire to jump ship early. Give this team a break, you cant be a championship level team so soon after getting your #1 guy. I HATE the discussion that is being forced onto this team, the pressure from the media is crazy and its all to push this stupid motive. stop it.
I get what you are saying but you don’t ship out five first round picks with the logic of let’s build this chemistry for three to five years. Pretty soon you’re gonna have to start paying folks some serious bread. Like Donovan gonna opt out next season PERIOD. He’s gonna ask for the max. Cleveland can pay the max but with that comes the luxury tax. You don’t wanna be paying the tax and you not really a contender.
@@liferealgood Gonna have to see what happens in the playoffs. Most reasonable cavs fans have stated that a competitive 2nd round exit is a good benchmark for this season, and I would agree. Conference finals and up would be house money. This team is 2-3 years removed from being trash. 2-3 YEARS. some franchises have been stuck at the bottom for nearly a decade now. if Mitchell gets a max on a different team its gonna be the same situation in a new landscape given the luxury tax situation.
Umm no. Odds are against the cavs. If what you said were true everyone would have rings
It’s the instant gratification culture
THANK YOU!!!
Donovan literally said im happy as hell this season, hes definitely staying 😂
You say that now, but watch things change when they get bounced quick
Yeah i cant see him leaving lol
Donovan just wore a Sam Merrill’s name on the back of an old jersey from before he came here, he’s not leaving, and the Cavs got the shooting around him. I don’t really like the points made in this video
this one pushed me over the edge. cant subscribe to someone who legitimately pushes these narratives. disgusting
I agree. The NBA media cannot stand that the Cavs are good.
Exactly anyone paying attention can see this, Mitchell said in an interview in Paris that the trip away with the team was great for them all to get to know each other build the chemistry etc, and it shows as that was the start of their run and their ball movement and team play in general has been at real high ever since but the media won’t tell you that bit
The idea or us trading Darius might be the stupidest thing he’s ever said
They hate us
I swear the only time i hear about the Cavs in media is them gossiping about what jersey Mitchell is wearing next year..just insanely lame sports coverage for a Cavs team who's actually one of the most coherent squads right now 🫤
yep. no one wants to talk about their amazing success story this season, but rather putting words in Mitchells mouth about how he was "dissapointed" to not go to NYC. thats literally false, he did not say that and it was put in direct quotation marks. pisses me off dude
I love AM’s content but this was really disappointing. Respect for the few CZcamsrs who have given the Cavs their due without making it all about Mitchell leaving.
The problem is AM has to report the main stories. I don’t think he’ll get any views just releasing a video only talking good about the cavs. He would also get accused of being biased if he talked about the cavs without talking about their rumors or problems.
@@LifeIsMusic227 the thing is, those rumors and problems are all made up...
media is grasping at straws
Cavs went from 19-63 team in 2018-19 to a 2nd seed in the East today.
They completed a full rebuild in just 4 seasons.
Building the roster through good drafting and timely trading for good players and eventually acquiring Spida with the assets they accumulated.
They got their first taste of playoffs last year without LeBron for the first time since the 90s.
With the arrival of Strus, Niang, Thompson and the development of hidden gems Craig Porter Jr., Sam Merrill, and Dean Wade, I believe that they are better prepared in the playoffs this year.
Go Cavs!
This is Sick That the Cavs Can’t have a great season without negative rumors surrounding them every month , but I guess that means we doing something right #LetsGoCavs 🗣
PLEASE leave us alone...we trying to make him happy here 😢
Something has to change with the narrative around this team, not even a fan, but the amount of negative media talk on this team is outrageous for a top 3 seed (not named the bucks). Because sure, 15-4, while missing two starters, must mean theirs some super bad problems, and not that the teams good right?
It's because of the 1st round flame out in last seasons playoffs. They won't get the benefit of the doubt. They will have to take their respect and prove it this season that's all. I would say an Eastern conference finals Berth at least should do it.

Knicks destroyed the Donovan / garland backcourt.
@@keef0088 Big Mitch destroyed the Cavs. Brunson played awful that series.
What is bro yapping about the Cavs were not expected to win last year. Yeah they were expected to win more than 1 game against the knicks but literally like 1/3 of the team if not less had playoff experience. I think it is frustrating that Mobley and garland are in trade talks because the games they have been back the Cavs have still been unstoppable. The Cavs can win the championship this year if not they definitely have a chance next year

Anything can happen but recent reports say that Spida is happy with his team and that he was visibly disappointed when the knicks made 2 trades this year and never once tried to get him while giving away all their best young players. He even said in a room full of reporters "guess I wasn't worth trading Quentin Grimes for" after the trade with Detroit. Obviously he still loves NY but whatever relationship he seems to have had with the Knicks seems to have soured a bit. Seems to me, baring a massive playoff collapse, he is going to secure his bag and stick around with this Cavs team this summer
Cavs GM was keeping it real, mad respect, but people talk too much sometimes
This team is so young people are way too impatient 😅
For real. People want results NOW NOW NOW. Like damn, chill out, they'll get there.

Because he didn't want to be there. That's the difference. He got traded to a destination where he chose not to be in. Meanwhile Steph wants to play for Golden State. You're too f****** stupid to understand that

I will forever hate the cavs and the nba if that were to ever happen
As a Cavs fan, I’m biased, but I think JB has the lineups down now and it will let Mitchell, Garland, Evan, and Jarret, to all play at an all star caliber level. I think all of this will keep Donovan happy as long as they do better then last year in the playoffs. I also think Donovan is happy and definitely like his cavs teammate’s more then his former jazz teamates.
what a prime example for an echo chamber. Many executives would love Mitchell to request a trade, so they can trade FOR HIM. being anynomous is even better that way. So they deliberately spread the rumor in the hope that it will become true, and the media (yes, you too!) rely on it. Boring
I don’t think D Mitch will leave. If he truly wanted to, he would’ve been gone a while ago
Imagine regressing and gaining Lebron and drafting bronny? Yikes
They need to be patient, especially Spida. They’ve had one full season together the chemistry isn’t at 100%.
But a trade is probably the best option.
He’s an unrestricted free agent next season. You really think he should be patient?
I see this team winning multiple rings if they stay together for a long time. They are slightly behind Boston's timeline, 76ers and Bucks are not the top dogs anymore, Knicks are a threat but I really think the Cavs will take them down this year if they meet up. Out West, the clippers window is really small now, and that conference is just a mess but I would say the team to beat out West is still the Nuggets. Cavs have a good chance as any competitive franchise for the next decade to win some chips. just KEEP IT TOGETHER PLEASE
@@Enlightened_SpursFanthat’s a little hard to believe when you have Chet and Wemby emerging out West. The Grizzlies and Wolves also looking good. The Mavs can put it together behind Luka. Jokić is only 29. Then in the East, Tatum and Brown are 25 and 27 respectively, 76ers are gonna have cap space to continue to build around Embiid.
I can see them being a top team in the East, but multiple rings is a bit of a stretch. I don’t think any team in the NBA right now can say that.

How many new teams/cores win in their first couple year? It’s super rare
Bro, he is on the books until 2026-2027. Do we have to watch shit like this for the next 2 seasons?
Media has always been negative about Cleveland sports teams. Anytime a Cleveland sports team get a star player they create the narrative that the player shouldn't be there
Garland & salary is enough for Cavs to get a star. Trading Mobley won’t happen & isn’t going to either.
Exactly
Not sure what kind of narrative this is. They also actually won more after and during donovan mitchell was getting benched from his injury.
What actaully happend was that Spida realised he can play of ball because his team can actually win without him. Because yes cavs won a lot of games without him during his time injuries.
Also cavs added shooters like Max strus, Sam merrill, georges niang.
Also rookie Craig Porter junior has had some very good minutes after donovan's injury, one the the biggest reasons we won without Spida on the court.
I just don't really like the narrative you are creating out of some pretty baseless rumors and some rash conclusions.
You're just over looking 90% of what the cavs are doing and insulting coach JB in the process for a team that is at it's second season together and who also had to deal with lot's of injuries during last season and this one.
Even with all these injuries, the small market and the disrespect cavaliers are the second best team of the eastern conference in standing with a record of 36 wins for 17 losses.
Yes they lost last season to a bad knicks squad but they addressed their issues, 3 point shooting and relying too much and Spida and Garland isos.
You have absolutely 0 nuance in your conclusion but obviously it's giga click bait and you are trying to get views I get it but at least don't insult the coach and the players in doing so.
Btw Levert best scoring player of the bench also.
As a Jazz fan I was convinced that we would do what ever it took to keep Don happy and in Utah. He always struck me as the Damian Lillard type and not the Kevin Durant ring chasing type. Granted, with Ainge trading him, theres no way to know for sure what would have happened. That being said, I can see a world in which the Cavs don't make the Eastern conference finals (if everyone is healthy it'll probably be some combination of Boston, NY, Philly, or Milwaukee) and a frustrated Donovan Mitchell will be heavily pursued by NY, Miami, Brooklyn, the Lakers and who knows who else. Don has a chance of being on a much better team next year, and I'll be surprised if he doesn't take it
Much better? Slow down buddy…
@lukeolesinski7439 Undoubtedly he could be on a much better team. He might not, it's definitely possible, but he could be
to say Mitchell is not on the Cavs timeline is crazy. Dude is 27, Garland is 24. Mobley is 22 and Allen will be 26 in a few weeks. Three years apart to his best teammate, two years to his second best. How is that not "the same timeline"? Look at the age difference for actual contenders this year: Booker & KD: eight years. LeBron & AD: eight years. Jokic & Murray: three years. Embiid & Maxey: six years. Gobert & Edwards: nine years. This is no problem at all, Mitchell is just entering his prime, he is not "in the middle of it". Also, Garland has been an All-Star already, Allen as well and Mobley will be soon. This team is not as young and inexperienced as you make it seem, they are already very good in the regular season, they just had one bad playoff run, but it was the first. The learnings will be there. I COULD see a world where the cavs trade Mobley instead of Allan though for short-term success since Allen seems to be more playoff ready than Mobley, while Mobley has the much higher ceiling.
Cavs go 22-5 since the injuries, 15-4 without the stars and 7-1 since they came back and this is what they get. The fucking hate is crazy
The cavs looking good this season hopefully the coach give emoni more minutes I think next year emoni would get even more minutes into the cavs roster cus he been killing it in the g league
That trade honestly doesn’t sound that bad for the Cavs where the only part that kind of stings is losing Markannen. Sure they lost picks but they still got a bright future in Garland, Mobley, and Allen.
yeah markannen has played better in utah than he did in cleveland.
I say this as a native: it’s all about Cleveland. If Donovan Mitchell were playing for the Chicago Bulls or another major-market team, with the same set of teammates and financial constraints… the same media figures and executives would not be trying to ship him to the Knicks or Lakers every day. Cavaliers fans are used to it, but we’re also sick of this.
Also, I’d argue you’re overthinking what Koby Altman said. And Donovan isn’t “past that,” as you said - he’s 27! I mean, I hope he stays, but if someone doesn’t want to take the supermax and wants to go see if he can build chemistry like this on another team, Godspeed.
Switch the jerseys to Knicks or Lakers this is a great team to the media and we need to give them time. Media is a joke lmao

Even if they are young, you should always have a championship mindset.
None of those teams are any better than the Cavs as an option. Aging Heat, Knicks not a great fit, nets not as good. Cleveland is as good of a fit as any.
There’s everything right! Allen was missing ! Bringing in new players, added shooting and in house development is hitting! The chemistry is balancing out with the ball movement. If we add Luke Travers this run will be dark horse contender rn! Even without adding LT this season. We’re building a dynasty, Mitchell won’t walk away. By the time his contract is up they’ll be READY READY, he was chill in Utah.. not worried. Lebron can come or not, we’re not drafting Bronny, unless he starts to improve a lot. He should stay in school. Keeping Okoro, will be tricky , Zhaire Smith will be a potential replacement I think. Probable reason for his 10 day, could be for off season assessment as a back up plan. If he’s healthy and stays healthy he could be a serviceable 3&d guy with a nose for the ball as a undersized forward kinda winnable odd ball player. We got a squad. Playoffs should be a good time

The only challenge lies in Cavs whether JB will deploy the appropriate chess pieces. They have the best roster in the NBA and they proved it when Mitchell was out for 3 games and they beaten Denver and Philly both teams at full strength.

Plain and simple …it’s only because they are playing in Cleveland.
If the Knicks or Lakers went on a 15-1 run like that the world would stop but because they are playing in Cleveland it’s hard to take them serious as contenders and that’s no offense
They going to have to knock off some top teams in the playoffs and go on a deep playoff run to get some respect on their names and that’s the reality of sports

I’m tired of this LeBron/Bronny talk let the kid do what he wants give him some time his career will be ruined if he joins the league now I think he should play in college for a few more years that way he’s more ready
If Mitchell is that guy he will get them over the hump into the Conference Finals. He can be inefficienct and turnover prone in the playoffs. He fixes that and learns to trust his team in big moments the team will be fine.
Bron going to Cleveland if they’re able to keep most of they’re roster might actually push them over the edge to being full on finals contenders
Bron going to Cleveland and take a pay cut would make them finals contender lol, smoking that 2015-18 pack.
