- With months of planning and 1000's of kilometres apart 4 CZcamsrs decided to go on a journey together into one of the remotest regions in Africa, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). Not only did we enter the CKGR, but we transversed it's great plains from North to South. A journey that took us 12 days to complete with plenty of challenges in the way. From rain, to capturing wildlife at it's very best in terms of kills, punctures and far far too many snakes, it was an adventure second to none.
Here is a small taste of what's to come in this 2 part series of crossing the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, lots more to come so stay tuned....

@@MyLifeinAfrica you welcome, check out our channel too.
Looking nice, how the muddies.
Loving them, best choice ever...
Can I just say that I am very pleased that there is such a variety of vehicles in this film. Really getting tired of seeing 79's day in and day out all looking the same.
Lucky I don't drive a 79 then...🤪
Yes your 78 is really nice. Variety is the spice of life. Keep on doing what you are doing. Peace
Thanks Mocke...
Where can one find one of those emergency hammers thats on your roof console?
I got mine in Australia, seriously struggled to find them in SA...
@@MyLifeinAfrica Ok, will probably have to order one from overseas. 😐
I've really enjoyed your videos. I just have a question. I'm based in JHB, and I was wondering, what's the best overland route for beginners. I'm hopefully getting a vehicle soon, and I'm super keen to get out there. I obviously don't want to tackle anything hectic to begin with.
Hey Asher, from JHB you have tons of options, i would recommend however that you do some 4x4 training first so you really get to intimately know your vehicle of choice and what you and it are capable of before tackling any adventure. The best advise i can give on which route to follow would be to start off with smaller weekend away trips and figure out how exactly you can pack and improve packing, what you need and don't and then start tackling the bigger trips as you gain more experience. Once you start with cross border trips give us a shout and we can help you with all the necessary planning you will need along the way...
@@MyLifeinAfrica Thanks so much for the detailed response! Appreciate it!!
