- In this, the third episode of the Botswana series, I continue my solo journey into the the Central Kalahari; where I share intimate game viewing experiences and bake my own bread. But the next days plans get cut short as I need to turn tails and run away from a massive impending dust storm!
With no guaranteed place to sleep, I hold thumbs that everything works out.

Yahhh men
Mate... Exactly what I was thinking haha. Step one - Get a Jimny :D (The easy part haha)
this is me :)
Came here for the suziki, stayed for the cinematography. Great video
Thats so awesome 👌🏻
Your camera work and your way of telling stories is amazing. Best wishes from Germany
Klose ?Ollie Bollie from Canón lodge?
Jerome Bassingthwaighte No, my friend, í‘m living in Germany, nearby Düsseldorf
Suzuki created a off-roading legend I love jimny
With 1.5L engine?
@@riturajdas6112 lol
copy of jeep😂😁😂
@@riturajdas6112 In the markets it's sold people don't want anything bigger, nor more complicated. That said, the car is overpriced by about 20% for what it is.
@@riturajdas6112 amazing right? A 1.5L engine can off-road
You’ve got some faith in that little jimmy. Awesome car. You’re the reason I’m buying one thanks.
It is sponsored 😆
@@riturajdas6112 u sure about that?
@@visibleconfusion9513 No, I just feel so.
He sold jimny
@@riturajdas6112 Yes but the Jimny is a bloody brilliant car. We'll have it in by October next year if Maruti doesn't fuck things up again.
Camping outside in the middle of the road
Lions: am i a joke to you
.....who needs billions of $$,...if you can enjoy this simple life with a dependable tough off-roader like this...money cannot by this happiness,...what a lucky guy you are....
You are bang on the money bud! I want to see if I can do a budget build sometime and see how much you really need to have a classic overland vehicle 👌🏻
You nailed it bro. Happiness is not about being rich. It's about being creative.
When is this guy working?
Not billions but still need around £50k for this car with this setup. Then some free time, also money. Money + Free time doesn't`always come together but depends what you do I suppose.
Exactly
ジムニーを「本当に使ってる」映像を初めて見た気がする。
That guy got some stories to tell
God has blessed only you 😍 this is fantastic and you a living a life like how u want best wishes from INDIA 🇮🇳❤♥
even in 2024, this video is a GEM!
as a 2019 jimny user, i got to tell you guys...this car is badass af
im in america i want one so bad. BUT i have a 2014 4runner limited 4x4 so im ok. but could use the jimnys mpg. lol
@@mrpink3630 i dont know that jimny is banned on europe
is it better tham land rover defender?(old) Or suzuki jimny 2019? For offroad in basic configuration.
just got a 2020 and loving it ...went from a speedy mini cooper S to the Jimny and no regrets
With the 1.5L engine?
Man I wish they sold this in Canada. That's a sweet set up.
Just watched your episodes and one thing came to mind, you living my dream....Enjoy it!! Excellent!!
Botswana Tourism owes you a huge thank you...
Our pleasure!
It was not an adventure, it was running from it. It is good to run away for a new start rather than trying to be a hero and getting lost in futile adventures. Good Job
"It's about how you deal with the problems that really makes life exiting" - I couldn't agree more. :-)
Man. I would never be able to cook with such relaxed mind knowing there are lions roaming nearby
My thought as well😅
thankyou so much for the amazing adventure with your JIMNY bro
Loved camping in the Central Kalahari back in 1993, it seems the facilities have been upgraded, happy times in a Hilux, but never got round to making bread.
A true off roader just requires a heart. Period!! Rest are all secondary
Who is still watching this episode
I don't know why but this is the car we all want as a dream car 😂
love that tiny car and the roof tent system~~ thank you!
That's the best kind of life, travel & enjoy.
Well done to brave that alone. Thank you for being honest about how you feel after attempting certain things, often the looks and reality of how it feels are worlds apart.
LOL, honest? You really think he is alone?
Mr Gemsbok at 10:13 is absolutely majestic. Great work.
Because the wind was blowing so much he couldn’t smell me and my car,
So I had a good 5-10minute of him standing and trying to figure out what I was! 😂 but he was a real beaut!
What an adventure! I remember my first time in Morocco with the old Jimny, doesn’t get any better. Congratulations
This is the 1st video I watched. And I must say, I'm impressed with your production. Subscribed!
This is what I dreamt of. 😮 what an adventure.
Love the colors and the design build on this thing. See more and more of them in Iceland now.
There are many takeaways from this amazing video, but I have to say, the bread came out amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, you were alone then; you're not alone now.
My heart longing for a Jimny... Total love..!
Wowwwwwwwww!! I got goosebumps all the way.. Thanks for sharing your awesome experience.
There's some beauty in going the distance with minimum resources and pushing yourself! It really is awesome!! It makes you trust in yourself and makes you value everything and everyone you have!
They just keep getting better 🤩
Привет из Санкт-Петербурга! Отличное путешествие!
That's without doubt the baddest Jimny I've ever seen 👍
Central Kalahari still on my wish list, fantastic series in a fantastic car
Good one ! You should have stuck the storm out in CKGR. One of the unique characteristics of the Kalahari is the build-up to and the actual thunder/dust/rain storm. Lay your hands on a book called 'Cry of the Kalahari' by Mark and Dehlia Owen - you were right there where they stayed for 7 years. Enjoy !
Epic; I’ll definitely look out for it!
A truly excellent , interesting absorbing episode , im truly jealous , you are a very lucky man indeed
You're living the life!!
system tent 4:44 is just incredible, lovely water system looks very useful. what a car and trip.. love to watch more !
Beautifull place "daar innie ou Kalahari".Yip,i miss travelling those parts.Have been tourguiding SouthernAfrica for almost 14 years until Dec 2009.Namib&Kalahari my favourite routes, eish how i miss it right now.Landrover defender 90 series was my favourite during those photography tours.Suzuki "vattiekakie"takes no shit.I know the SJ too well. These Dinky toy 4x4 take no shit.Sad,because i am a dialyses patiant for two years now,i can only dream of camping ever again, hence someone donates me a kidney.Greetings to bush friends from a Namibian lost in Germany's urban jungle.

No such thing as bad weather - just bad planning when you go 4x4 👌🏻
Those dust storms are not so bad at all. The come and go. Next time you HAVE to stay.
