today we’re going to explore why Apple’s AirPods are so popular. Now you may be thinking, well that isn’t so hard to figure out, Apple made a quality product so more customers are inclined to buy it. And that is part of the reason, but there’s actually more to the story. it all started when I visited the Apple Store during the holiday season to buy AirPods as a gift, but when I asked an associate about them, she said they probably didn’t have any since the AirPods had been out of stock for weeks. But she went ahead and checked the stockroom just in case. Then, a woman walked into the store also asking to purchase AirPods, she was told they were likely sold out, but pointed her in my direction anyway. Now, I was curious why Apple was struggling to keep AirPods in stock, considering they’d been on the market for about two years. But I assumed it was because of the holiday demand, and didn’t think much else about it. That was, until I began talking to the woman behind me...

I just got the AirPods 2 for my birthday yesterday and they’re so good. I never realized how amazing truly wireless headphones are. Probably the best gift I’ve gotten in a long time it’s just an all around great experience.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I like the shape of apples earpods/airpods. They are the most ergonomic earbuds ive owned. They fit your ear, and are designed for ears. I hate the cheap earbuds that have the fat piece of rubber at the part the goes in your ear, it doesnt feel right. If you have used apples earbuds, you would probably agree.

There are some things that Apple deserves hate on, but at this point in time, AirPods are not one of them. They are neither overpriced nor are they bad products. Quite the opposite of both. I think the AirPods were finally what Bluetooth earbuds were meant to be. They stayed in your ears(at least mine), sounded good enough, were great for calls and pretty much connected seamlessly to all my Apple devices. I stood in line at Apple Store in SF on day one to get them and have been very pleased.
Bloody awesome video. I just brought AirPods Gen 2 and I’m loving them. I have other TWS earphones but none come close to the seamless integration between all my Apple devices.

Loved the airpods when I had them, only problem for me was they weren't staying in when I went to the gym with them, and for that reason alone I invested in Master & Dynamic's MW07's (Essentially more premium airpods). The airpods were reliable and lasted practically forever in terms of battery. When the airpods 2 come out, I may seriously be tempted to buy again

That feature of volume up/down by tapping always existed. However, in order to program it, you need click the information tab in your AirPods Bluetooth settings

I bought AirPods today. The meme got my attention, but they were selected by a process of elimination alongside all the competition. My Bose Soundsports conked out on me after 2 years (the ones with the wire behind the neck). What pissed me off about the Bose after years of use was the durability and connectivity issues. The rubber started to strip and fall off after a year. And the connectivity was always an issue trying to switch connection from my phone to my iPad to my Apple TV; I had to forget the device and reconnect from scratch each time I changed.
So I weighed the new Bose wireless buds with AirPods and AirPods won me over with durability, charge/recharge, and seemless connectivity switching between devices. Also the new Bose wireless are $50 more. But what really made me satisfied with my purchase?
Well, the AirPods pause music when I take 1 out of my ear. I can double tap 1 of them for Siri, skipping forward/backward, or play/pause. And I can hear myself during phone calls. The Bose win on sound isolation shutting off the world around you when you fit that rubber mold into your ear, but this also hinders phone calls because you can barely hear yourself.
I agree with this video. The memes are free marketing, but it’s just one of those kinds products that just works and exceeds expectations and feels like you’re actually getting something worth the high price tag.
wojovox Yeah, I like the original EarPods for the reasons you described. I ended up gettin AirPod Pros a week ago though and they’re a huge step up from the OG airpods (and I was of the OG airpods)
The JLab Epic Air ANC does the same things the airpods do, good quality sound, has an app with Equalizer and custom touch control menu, And updates.

My sister bought wireless earbuds once for around $20-30 from china, they were smaller, had changeable rubber-thingies that you put into your ear canal, each pair a different size, they also came with a charging box. They weren't that bad for such small price, but she lost one lol. My point is - yes, you can buy wireless earphonees without a wire connecting them that are pretty similar in quality but much cheaper.

Love my AirPods. I recently found them after being lost for about 5 months 😂 these things are dope but damn easy to lose. I know they have the find my iPhone feature but it doesn’t tell you precisely where they are ie behind my couch or under my bed 🤷🏽♂️

Budget truly wireless earphones have become a viable option nowadays. I can't be affording over £100 on a pair of earphones but I found some complete with charging case for just £30 and they have good reviews. Also they're of the arguably superior in-ear design.
I have no issue with the actual sound quality of Apple's earphones, but they block pretty much zero exterior noise and it's harder to get fully absorbed in what you're listening to.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'd totally get Airpods if I could afford them for the convenience and quality I've come to know from Apple products but I just cannot justify that sort of cost for a pair of earphones that aren't gonna last forever anyway (even if there's no wire, batteries degrade over time).
I'm all for them actually packing Airpods in with the XS Max (well, whatever the future versions are called) as I think at that sort of price range it should be feasible to subsidise them into the cost even if they raised the price by around £20 or whatever. I can afford the XS Max cause I'm covering the cost over just under three years, but the same isn't possible for these.
Never bet on Apple giving away useful accessories with iPhones you'll lose every time. Are they even attempting to bundle their fast charger with the current iPhone range? Of course not - they want you to pay extra for a "fast" charger that gets eclipsed by almost every other charging technology on the market. Meanwhile even the basic midrange Honor phones come with fast chargers as standard!
To be honest I never thought of getting wireless earphones. I'm ok with the earphones(type C) that came with my Huawei, but, oh gosh, they are soo quiet for some reason, I don't know if they are defective, but I still use them. I got into a programming school and we bring our laptops every day. I have big headphones that I use at home and wouldn't use them at school. Than I decided that I need some kind of earphones to use with my phone and laptop. Airpods came up my mind. Why? I have really small ears and I've used wireless Xiaomi in-ear for actually 1 day and they weren't comfortable + connecting them and turning them on felt like a challenge. I'm not sure, tho. Is it worth it?
They are also very confortable to wear. I was working with a classmate who had Airpods and shared one with me. I even forgot I had it in my ear. Of course, he asked for it and I realized.

Not gonna lie before owning one i owned the beat x. Glad i did the switch, no annoying wires when im at the gym. The quick charge allow me to go places without having to bring a wire to charge the headphone. I remember mine beat x would die after a day or two but with the airpods i can prob go almost a week without charging them. Not havinng to press anything except take them out of the case and put them on is a hugeeeeee plus. Able to switch from iphone to my macbook is also another pros. Pretty much if you are in the apple eco system this is a great product to have. I still own a bose qc35 for normal use if im traveling on airplane or watching movies on my desktop but just bout anything else these are great.
I love them, sound quality isn’t the absolute best but it’s reliable. I had earbuds with much better sound quality from Zolo, but the accumulated so much wax and debris that they broke in a week, and they hurt my ear. And they were a hassle to connect.

I would rather be able to spot the difference right from the box BEFORE making any purchase. I've seen lots of videos showing the trademark stuff and none of them show any sort of details that can indicate they are the new ones.

To me, it was a pair of wireless EarPods for $160, and feel about the same quality based on the sound, and overall look sleek in general in my opinion.
The good thing about this is that it can be a good upgrade to the speakers on the MacBooks, and the new iPhones not even having a headphone jack crucially helps with not having to deal with Bluetooth as much. But, other than that, you are paying a partial sum for the technology and more for the Apple brand.

I just ordered some and I will be picking them up shortly. Honestly I never thought I would need them. But I’ve been working out trying to get healthier and when I’m doing my 3 mile walk my wire headphone are aggy. Plus my head phones have a short in them so yeah.
About being TRULY wireless.. True, i agree. Bought a Pioneer "wireless" headphones in Japan, Nd I'm kinda still hassled with the wires. Will be buying the 2nd (or 3rd) gen airpods soon.

The thing that surprises me about Airpods beside there amazing simplicity and reliability is there price x3 Apple isn’t exactly known for their low prices. But Airpods competitors samsung icon X and pixel buds.... have equal or higher price
It's common to see common people to not able to see how AirPod can be convenient. At the time of its release, even most of the tech reviewers were sceptical. Mostly just because it looks "odd" and "unprecedented" in ears. LOL, i thought tech reviewers are supposed to be open minded and in front of the curves. Tech reviewers are just a bunch of laggy nowadays.
Kah Zhoy Low I personally think the shoulder resting retractable bluetooth earphones are more convenient. I can wear them all day and just extend the earphones whenever I need them. Don't need to reach for my pocket and there's no chance of dropping one.

I liked the airpods but since I switched to the s10 I gave them up and and got galaxy buds to replace them I will say it's a better option for me besides opening the case I like the airpods case over my galaxy buds case

My earbuds fell out all the time, but it was because I kept hitting the wire.
They never fell out by me shaking my head. I had mine for a day now and I’m exciting to get home(I’m currently in NYC, living in Denmark), to try them running and such.
I recommend them!

The reason I like them is because they are good at what they do - like many brands, however, Apple's Airpods don't hurt my ears by trying to go down inside the ear canal like virtually every other brand out there. Can't say I ever gave them a second thought until I switch from android after many years to iphone this year and tried the wired earpods that came with my iphone.
Sooooo many brands made their own versions of EarPods but like I decided to try one of them from the brand realme (btw i also have a phone from their brand so the decision was easy lol) and the experience has been decent, the only issue is the battery is too short for me bc i like to wear earpods for a long period of time soooo yea
i bought them during christmas time not knowing that they were growing so popular and were almost globally sold out.

6:25 there was truly wireless earbuds before airpods such as the Samsung gear iconx 2016 which was released before airpods, but it wasn't very good since the tech was rather new back then
