Mainstream consumers think Beats are high quality premium audio products when in reality they're nothing more than the perception of "high quality".

I've had all three generations of airpods (the originals, the ones with wireless charging and the Pros). While I can say that the Pros sound much better than the regular Airpods, plus they have outstanding noise cancellation, honestly, sometimes I still miss my original (or second gen) AirPods. Their shape was just perfect for me, and they weren't as "invasive" in my ears. They felt much more comfortable than the Pros. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not a huge fan of rubber tips, this is why I'm super excited for the 3rd generation!
Although I don’t have the pros I completely understand that. I’ve always exclusively wore apples earbuds for the shape, even when they were wired; rubber tips never fit my ears comfortably. I’m still loving my 1st gen AirPods from 2016, easily one of my favorite apple products!
i have a pair of bragi's still using them, and what i really like is the internal memory, none other is doing that, is a shame, sometimes is great not to be tied up to your phone.Amazing product, shame they are gone now.
I have AirPods Pro, really looking forward to what the AirPods 3 and the AirPods Pro 2. I might trade in my pro for the pro 2.
I have AirPods 1, 2 and Pro. Bought Gen 1 then thought I lost them so bought Gen 2 (later found the Gen 1s). Later bought the Pros for the noise cancelling.
They are amazing. Good in very aspect and connect very well even with Android
I’ve had both AirPods 1st gen and AirPods Pro, but since I’m starting at home most of the time because of the pandemic, I sold them and bought the Sony WH-1000XM4, that is truly amazing! Honestly, although I loved the features offered by the AirPods Pro, I found the original AirPods way more comfortable to use. So, if the AirPods 3 steals some of the Pro’s features, but not having those silicon tips, it would be awesome.
My Jabra 65t wireless ear buds are awesome and also have a charging case..have had them for a couple of years now..need another pair so waiting for the next generation AirPod pros..can wait a little longer since got 12 pro max and M1 MacBook Air recently..love them both!!!!!

I have Air Pods 2 gen. I am really happy with it. Soundquality is for me amazing .
I have had my W1 SoC chip powered AirPods for over 3 years now, and recently I have experienced some issues with connectivity to my iPhone 12 mini and cold weather. When wind blows in to the earbud, it randomly disconnects and leaves me connect with only one ear on connected 2 minutes after. The solution is to put beanie/ hoodie’s hat on to keep them warm or after this problem put them back in to its case for a second or so and then continue listening. Any advices? I’m upgrading to AirPods Pro but still, it would help me out...
I own an iPhone, MacBook Pro, and an iPad, but I’ve never been an AirPods guy. The competition just does the things that matter to me much better! I have the Jabra Elite 75t, which have much better sound and battery than the AirPods Pro, and a lot more water and dust resistance, and they recently received a software-version of ANC (which isn’t as good as a chip-based ANC, but good enough for most use cases). And they were sold for about $80 less than the AirPods Pro at launch (they’re currently available for $130!)
If, in the future Apple releases AirPods that can be similarly priced to the competition, while also having equivalent features, then I’ll obviously go for them. For now, however, wireless earbuds are an area where I’m non-Apple!
Hmm, well, I just want to say, one of the biggest reasons for why I myself bought the AirPod pros, was because they seemed to fit and stay in my ear, plus noise cancelling, and good sound quality. Though I did enjoy the Powerbeats pro, since those had ear clips, making them stay in your ear, though I got the AirPods Pro, for the updates, Apple gives them. With things like 3d audio support, which I haven’t really listened to 3d audio through my AirPods yet, I have had them for a year, but I m still trying to find a good way to listen to 3d audio, via a movie, or something.

I have the airpod pros, which I bought for 250, but as much as I think they are worth it, with the water resistance, so sweat won't ruin them, and noise cancellation, I think slightly lower price would have been a better strategy for apple, making it more affordable for more people, making their product more wide spread.

I have the AirPods Pro. I absolutely love them, they are so small, yet they have noise canceling, which was only available on big over ear headphones. I think the Pro’s are a very good option for people who want very good earbuds, which have all the best features.

Have the 2nd gen AirPods. Got them pretty soon after they came out. I prefer the in-ear design but decided to get the 2nd gen anyway not knowing AirPods Pro were going to come out. I would have liked the AirPods Pro instead but am sticking with the AirPods 2nd gen instead until probably the 2nd gen AirPods Pro. Mine are still great but I'm one of those people who I guess has an abnormal shaped left ear. It's only my left ear that will not hold the left earbud in very well so I can't run with the left in but can with the right earbud in.

I have AirPods Pro and the first gen AirPods and neither always automatically connects to my apply device when I open the lid of the case with the pods in them.
I'm still using the Powerbeats Wireless 3. I want to upgrade to the new AirPods coming out at some point. I've just always been hesitant because I wasn't sure how they would be in the gym without the ear hook.
The AirPods Pro stay in my ear even when running smiling etc. I think it depends on your ear canal if a friend has one try them first

I am one of those with freak ears that reject all apple airpods. They won’t stay in & just go flying out. Which is a problem since I am very active. But i bought the powerbeat pros and they’re perfect. And since Apple bought them, they seamlessly pair with all my apple devices. Not only do they stay in my ears when biking, running or working out, their battery lasts twice as long as the AirPods. Lastly, they also have physical buttons, so i can raise the volume, pause & forward without having to use siri.

I have been using AirPods since they launched in 2016 ...I have AirPods 1 AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 ...I am current using AirPods 3 they are fantastic i just couldn't go back to wire connected ones...as far as the price is $249au so not bad

Never owned a set. Instead I use a 20euro motorola headset. They are already while im in the process of taking them out of the case and putting them in my ears. I mainly use those for podcasts and such but the sound quality is very good. They’re also very small which is awesome.

Beautifully explained why AirPods are so successful till today.
They are just KING, Pro! Use them on my Imac, MB Pro, IPad and IPhone. This is the definition of an ecosystem.
I have the Airpods 2, Airpods Pro and Airpods Max. I use the 2’s for work and exercise and the Max’s for leisure and gaming. I hated the Pros, they never stayed in my ears and eventually had some kind of weird rattling in one headphone. I hope that the pros 2 will be better but time will tell
AirPods are just simply great earbuds, even for non-Apple users. My friend who has a Samsung phone and a Windows PC got AirPods and he likes them for the sound quality and the microphone quality.

There is a somewhat unknown feature that you did not touch upon which prompted the pro purchase
I am a Sr. Citizen with diminished hearing
The pro has a Hearing accommodation setting that lets me adjust differential volume between ears
And also tweak the treble/voice response
If you don’t need this... it does not seem important
But many of us are getting older... and have resulting hearing loss
This feature is great for us
And one point missing is the call quality
wish airpods had volume Controls like the galaxy buds and so on...

Airpods pro are the best if you have an iOS device. I use them on the go all the time, plus the microphone is really great. But for a headset I prefer the Bose, they are so comfortable to wear.

1st Gen Apple still. Not because of the price but because of the shape. I hate the little rubber tips. I do have better sound quality buds for calls and music, but the original Apple are the easiest to use.

Listen listen, don’t get the current gen AirPods Pro, there’s a rumoured new AirPods 3 which will have almost all the features currently present in the AirPods Pro. This will eventually make the AirPods Pro’s obsolete. But if your mind is set on buying them, then do it, it’s an amazing sounding product and you’ll love it for as long as you’re gonna use it.
My parents and siblings have regular AirPods and I have AirPods Pro and AirPods Max 🙂

being able to control iPhone volume, with the Apple Watch digital crown. That is a Genius feature, that keeps me on airpods

First I bought Airpods2 with Wireless Charging for my wife. Then for my Mom, and finally a year later for MYSELF (without wireless)! Come to think of it... I bought THREE pairs of AirPods. They are tough as F@##!!! I drop them all the time because of STUPID MASKS.
I had all 4 (airpods 1(lost them ) aripods 2 gve them to my mother airpods pro( in my ears) airpods max (charging)
All other bluetooth brands don't have the software expertise.
