Cs is literally in every decade

Playing 1.6 as a kid in some back alley internet cafe against the locals was a mad time. Glad CS is still going
I started playing in the mid 2000s and still play to this day. CS never dies and this looks amazing. glad to see Valve still making awesome stuff.

Played before Steam. I remember Counterstrike and Firearms both being a "mod" of Half-life you could play. I always liked firearms but never stopped playing cs.

Nah. If valve made a 3rd sequel to any of the games they made that would be historic. This is just updated graphichs. Nothing special. Also will this be free? Cause if they're charging you for the same game with updated graphichs then valve truly fell off.
Counter strike was one of the first video games I've played, and it's still alive! Thanks to its simplicity that made it a timeless game!

This game has been around for years. Growing up with this game since high school. Crazy how this game is a staple in our lives. Some will never understand it.

The old era? In general, I would not say that CS is the standard of graphics. Many games have already been released in which the graphics are not that not worse, but even better than in CS2
its still the same exact game just more polished lol
I never was in love with global offensive, to be honest. Hopefully this CS 2 can bring back some elements from the older one. I still prefer CS 1.4 to this date.

I remember how crazy it was when CS:GO came out. I grew up on CS:Source and am partially familiar with 1.6, so it’s interesting to see the game evolve!

I didn't think CS:GO had much hype around it as it wasn't a technical leap like CS:S was. It had cartoony graphics and was a regression in a lot of ways, but resolved a lot of complaints 1.6 players had with Source.
I was a regular CS player in the early days when it was still "beta" and before Valve acquired it. I stopped playing when I graduated college but this has enough nostalgia combined with new content to make me want to get back into it.
Yeah, I installed Steam and _CS: GO_ a couple years ago to just play for a few hours and uninstall afterwards. Ended up playing basically all night, especially on my favorite classic map, cs_militia, and on an iMac at that, but it was fun while it lasted. It was nice easing into it and getting somewhat decent enough for my own standards over the hours. :)
I like how there's no 'official reveal trailer' like you'd expect from other game reveals and instead it's just a series of presentation videos of what to expect.

I remember playing in BETA5 and then 1.0 to 1.6. CSGO passed me over since I had adult responsibilities like going to college and w/e else. I wanna build a pc to play this and catch up and waste all my free time having fun again. Some of the best times and e-friends made on that game over the mic.
They do need to bring back the APC!

It feels like the remnants of the old world are rising. I was there with countless hours back 1.3 up to 1.6. It feels like a good time to show 'em kids how it's done 😉
It's kind of comforting to know that probably all my life I'll be able to play maps like Dust, Office and Italy in different iterations, and so will generations to come :)

i don't know how i feel about completely blowing the smoke away with impacts. A bit would probably be interesting but not completely. Other than that the game looks great. Also we can finally see our own model's feet, that has to be the thing that shocks me most
I think the smokes are fine. It's mostly nerfing the smoke spams especially with m4a1-s. Smokes return back to their original state in a couple seconds when the nade effect is gone.
What if you throw a molotov at the smoke, will it burst into flames and become a fire cloud? I want to see that happen ngl

Looking great. I hope they make the maps for impactful or interative to the objects surrounding it. Making the gameplay more strategic like and more lively. Open some new things in the normal map that the original map can't do. Hope they add a prone mechanic as well and new weapon mechanics and gadgets as well.

It's literally just Source 2 CSGO though, not as breathtaking as Half Life Alxy though which is definitely cool still.

I played CS first time like 1999, and the map was huge house, i cant the name of it, and i think was office map to and some sand maps. Looks so incredible this CS2 =)

I have been here for every era of CS. You have no idea how much of a change the dynamic smokes are. CS literally shows up, owns a generation, rides the wave for a decade, and then re-emerges as the god of shooters it is. Here's to another era of players discovering this long-standing titan! My tip to the younger generation: Rush B every time. Even when you go A.
I would like to see destructible maps or at least map parts, that allows to differantiate game play and tactics, just like the levolution mechanic in bf4. That would be awsome...
But that would make a better game so they prefer keeping it simple when not even wood crates get destroyed etc…
@@saschaherrmann1665 it would make it a different game. They could also add vehicles, aircraft, heavy weapons, artillery, zombies, crafting, etc.
They could have made it a lot of different things, but instead they chose to make it Counter Strike.
@@dimitrikemitsky but there already is a counter strike. The could just call it cs remake instead of cs 2. because a sequel generally developes some new features besides legs and weird looking smoke

I am the one who saw HALF-LIFE and VALVE in itself getting a start and then evolving for the last 2 and a half decades now. Though I never played HALF-LIFE back in 1999 but I was there being 13 at that time and playing tons of other games. So yes, I am the living testimony of how CS began and got evolved.

They've just named it "2" so that they can justify full price and more traction to it I guess. Seems about like what "Go" was when that came, the same game, just an "updated" version. It's a competitive game so I guess they don't really dare to actually make a brand new game with new mechanics. Heck probably still doesn't have aim down sights....
