- Hey Cruise World Crew! We had an amazing time visiting the Netherlands on our Norwegian Prima cruise. First, we visited Zaanse Schans where historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village. Next, we headed to De Simonehoeve, a traditional cheese farm and clog factory located near Volendam. After a brief stop in Edam, famous for their semi-hard cheese, we returned to Amsterdam for a canal cruise of the Netherlands capital city. Come and join the fun!

What a coincidence...I was just looking at some pictures from when my father and mother were posted to Holland a couple of year after WWII. Been wanting to visit there for years to try and retrace some of their memories. An awesome area! Bruce and Otis

How many actual tours did you book in Amsterdam and any helpful info how we can book them is so appreciated. After finishing your video, I see it was more than one tour, I think :-)
The tour included the windmills, cheese and such... the boat tour is not far from where the ship docks and there are several different vendors right there at the canals that offer tours,
Cheese and wooden shoes- two of my favorite things! 😂 Edam looks like an amazing place to explore. Love the 360 cam footage. Great video as always!

The windmills, cheese and more excursion was through NCL. The river cruise we purchased on our own-there are many different companies that do them just a short walking distance from the port.

Arriving in Amsterdam Netherlands on NCL Prima on August 27, 2024 would like to know the best way to book the tour you took. Thank you.
We booked this through the cruise line. You can often find good deals on similar excursions through outside vendors, however we do like the peace of mind that comes with knowing the cruise ship will not leave us if the excursion returns late.
@@thecruiseworld right now NCL is not showing any excursions for Amsterdam. But I will keep checking as it gets closer to August!
Did buy a tuor with the norwegian or you guys do your own tour ?
For the windmills and cheese we were on a tour. Then we went around Amsterdam on our own.
