I have been to Rotterdam while being a sailor and enjoyed the people, culture etc. It is a very 🧽 clean city and everyone speaks English! Awesome!😊
Thank you, needless to say a gorgeous place rich in history and art! I'm a professional artist/illustrator/painter and when I went to Europe to study art, unfortunately I didn't get to the renown Netherlands. Was mostly in Italy, a short time in Spain and France and then England. My youngest daughter did get to Amsterdam when she attended university in the UK. I have a bit of Dutch ancestry on my paternal grandmother's side, but they originally came from Germany. My late father's family left Rotterdam in 1732, landed in Philadelphia, fought in the Revolutionary War, three of them generals. The Pennsylvania Dutch! My first Halloween costume when I was three was a Dutch girl with my blonde Dutch boy haircut. I went to high school with a classmate whose parents were right off the boat from Holland and all around their house were beautiful different colored tulips, loved walking past that in the Spring on the way to school! ♥♥

Too bad this video missed out on so many other top destinations in The Netherlands: the Wadden Islands and the islands in the province of Zeeland; the Veluwe, Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Sallandse Heuvelrug nature reserves; the medieval towns of Breda, Den Bosch, Maastricht and Nijmegen; the rolling hills of South-Limburg; the prehistoric dolmen and burial mounds in the province of Drenthe.

Really enjoyed your video. My daughter lives in Groningen and works at the university. In 1991-? she also lived in Zeeland. I visited Harlem, Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft and Dordrecht. A wonderful trip.

Geat video about my country, with many beautiful city's to visit!! I highly recommend to visit one of the Wadden Islands, an unique part of the country. And the southern most provincie of Limburg, with rolling hills and the highest point of the country (a whopping 322m above sea level) Many people in The Netherlands speak some English, but 90% fluently is a bit much. Still know many people who only speak Dutch, like my sister 😂. And when you talk about the "Nieuwe Kerk" in Delft, you actually show the City hall

I was so happy to learn the city my ancestors left from when sailing to America on the Fortune. I know they left from the Netherlands, but I didn't know from where. Our history books don't teach anything about it because it was the ship right after the Mayflower. While apparently not so newsworthy as the first, it certainly is important to me and I'm really happy to learn of this information. Thank you.

I love Netherlands and the most beautiful loving and caring friendly people. I am sorry for some Arab and Turkish refugees, that do not care and do not use many garbage cans in every street and throw their garbage in the streets. i hope they become civilized and keep beautiful Netherland clean.

I keep wondering why everyone always keeps going on about Amsterdam.... it's a tourist overrun city... and has no longer to do with anything Dutch... Next time try Alkmaar... Zaanse Schans... Volendam... IJsselmeer.... Veluwe... Waddeneilanden.... and I can keep going on.......the same canals can be found in Utrecht and Delft... and it will cost you way less

What is is with to 2-5 second long pause between each sentence?
Its actually really annoying. Just talk in one go. And some times do a pause. But not after every sentence.
