our inner world definitely operates in a similar way, where stuff can only happen in places where someone is, and stuff that happens away from whoever is fronting ends up as a thing that happened with no process. So like, Leila spends a lot of time tending aer garden, but if whoever is at the front isn't in that area, no memories beyond "gardening happened" get made. We don't have any sort of neat division of who's space is where. Cyan and Leila have spaces that are vaguely theirs (Leila has a gazebo surrounded by grass, trees, and gardens. Cyan has the attic space above the main little building we have, into which they pilled the entire cosmos that gets used to decorate the sky or the one place we have night when that's not in use.), but the rest of us just kinda are wherever, or sometimes nowhere.
It's hard to think of one cool thing from our inner world. We are making a library. One of us has a barn. We have a green house on top of our main room. There is a wolf pack where our wolf alter goes at night.
Our system is very similar. It pauses when it's not actively paid attention to. Additionally, no one remembers what they do inside the headspace when they aren't fronting or co-con.
Milo has a cottage. Surrounding the cottage is the "stream of consciousness" - we treat it like a lazy river most of the time. There's a door inside the cottage that leads to my bathhouse. In the backyard is a waterfall that can move either up or down. It falls from a floating library above the cottage that we rarely, but occasionally visit. In the front yard is Ashkii's treehouse. Further into the headspace is the glade, with a big open campsite. It's a simple headspace, but we love it.
A weird thing about our inner world is that, if things happen and Danie (shell/host) isn't around to see it, then we can't tell them very much about it. And it's not just that there's a block that's keeping us from saying anything, often it's like the memories are just gone when we're around them. -Kent
A neat thing about our inner world is that there's a radio station! It doubles as a PA system, since it reaches almost everywhere. There's also a dedicated phone in there for alters to call in and respond to PA messages. Our resident System Manager is almost always in the booth, reading and listening to everything. -Danie (it was also the first place I had access to!)

Thank you for this! It really helped us feel more valid not having a complicated inner world constantly functioning. Like, I really relate to what you described about things not really happening in there unless people are close to the front, or if I'm actively trying to go there e.g. during therapy sometimes (and even then there's a lot of places I can't access myself, and only see through others showing me). But anyway, we'd never heard anyone talk about it this way, so thank you!

2:30: This happens to us too. We are OSDD1b. We have shared memory, with the person fronting making the memories. Something can happen in the inner world, but if the person at front isn't paying attention to the inner world, it will only be remembered in a vague factual way, "So and so did such and such", there will be no emotional or detailed memory about the event attached.

We have such a similar experience. It’s one of the things that we use as evidence we’re faking sometimes. This really helps us know that just cause our inner world isn’t always going and alters don’t have clear inner world memories all the time, that doesn’t mean we’re faking. You’re videos help us feel validated a lot thanks for what y’all do! 🤗

Hello! I am an extremely new system who just happened to stumble across this video and I feel like I've just hit a glitch in the matrix because everyone I've ever heard talk about their inner worlds describe something unique each time but when I heard yours...like I'm not joking your mansion is EXACTLY the same as mine to the DETAIL. Literally the only thing different is I don't have a void and mine has an outside?? My inner world also works exactly the same as you describe as in its not running 'all the time', but one of my alters can build things fairly easily if we ask him.
I don't comment on videos but I thought this was really strange? Maybe we watched the same tv show at a young age or something haha! Keep doing these videos though, they're fantastic! ♥️

We, collectively, are relating deeply to much of what you have said.
We've also had some difficulties with dissolving creations (innerworld). For us, if one of us alone wants to make a change or create something new it can take several months of focus to achieve it. We've found that, as a complete collective, we want to create something innerworld we have to each put our energy into it. Our best description is the Disney blessing from the fairy godmothers to the princess in sleeping beauty. We each, in turn, give our unique stuff-n-things-n-heart-magic to the ______. That's the only way it works for us. And we don't remember the doing, we remember the plan and intention, but we can then access doing of the ____ later on. We don't know, just how we've figured out how to make it work for us. And yet, it something needs to be addressed by someone then we can't fix it or change it for them, and certain things we've learned we cannot do a thing about.
We've no idea if what works for us will help anyone at all but we decided to share in case it does
The npc stuff is interesting! We have things that we call ghosts and they’re essentially illusions that occupy any space where it would be weird to not have people (ie. a city) and they’re sort of like extras or ‘filler people’ like you’d get in a dream, where if you focus on them enough you start to realise they’re not real in the same way as the alters who live here, they disappear if you try talking to them and they never come inside the main house 😅
(We also have the render distance stuff you talked about)
my fave thing in my inner world is my walk in closet with my dream dresses that i’ll never own irl because we’re poor and all of our needs are too different 😂
ooh yeah i definitely get the time being weird in inner world too! more and more i keep going in and sort of blacking out so i don't remember much and i don't know whether this happens to others... but i think time happens a bit like in an animal crossing game you haven't touched in a while... where time has pretty clearly passed but there's no sense of similar continuation in activities? maybe, it's hard to explain
one interesting thing we have in inner world is Rowan's house, it changes it's floor layout and design every second, so is completely impossible to enter without Rowan's express say-so to be teleported inside, we call it 'if our brain was encrypted' 😂

We're (probably) a 1b system and our inner world does the "loading thing" you described!
With me is like at first while starting to understand my headmates, at first it was like a house with some dorms I wasn't allowed to go but as we developed the house started to have more rooms and in those room was like a whole world, per example Carlos room is like a Mafia kinda secret base or for Hana is a beautiful garden surrounded by a deep forest and a big tree in the middle where she hangs in and the fact that I'm starting to realize this now but this inner world was created when I was like 10 and I'm 16 now, amazed me
⏳Ours also freezes if not paid attention, but our main world is a freaking constant sandstorm. But we the sand is always somehow, like, 5 feet away from anyone so it doesn't get anywhere. It forms into things as needed, but without agreement, it can fall apart because it has no 'substance'. We like to use our meeting room for formal debates, and we discovered a diner, a castle, a forest, and a study that are mostly open access. Then Zack has claimed a room that's just black and code and special effect lighting like the matrix with old fashioned clocks everywhere because he likes calculating things. David sits in the dark room next to the pit of despair and guards the box of bad. We have a rope nearby in case someone starts falling into the pit. David keeps the room lit with thousands of polychromatic sparkles. 🌈Sam doesn't let anyone in her room, but reports it's bright pink, and I😒 (Alex) would rather not look at it to confirm.
We think there are more of us in here, but we haven't seen them because we don't wander too far in if we're busy.

Yeah we dont really remember like the details of it but stuff does happen and we just dont remembe the details. It's why oak when I ask him what he is reading he doesnt really know but if we are both in the headspace he can say with more ease.
We can change our innerworld but if we force it it gives the body a headache and no one has to agree to it
This was really interesting, thanks for sharing. I won't go into details but we also have rooms inside but not everyone has them and those that do are locked in. It's pretty terrible inside.
I have a hard time going to the inner world unless I dissociate to the point of meditation while I am fronting, I can see it very clearly when I'm there and I can talk to the others and sometimes make things, but when I'm not out, I either black out or observe the body. I am in charge of daily living most of the time, so I don't know if it's because I'm out a lot, but I'd love to be able to live in the inner world more easily, do you have any insight?
🦄 Honestly I really don't :/ I would say that trying to better communication between you all might help? Some people who take care of daily living just don't have time inside though, even when they're not fronting, unfortunately

One of our weird experiences is that if we think about someone we automatically start sending our thoughts to them which is annoying.
Yes we can actually kinda call people to co-consciousness that way!
