- Warlord Britannia is a first person strategy game set in the 1st Century AD Britain. You are an newly appointed Legate who is to lead the expedition to Briannia. Only your legion exists solely on paper. Can you survive Britannia?
Warlord Britannia is a game that I have wanted to review since launch, but it was also still in active development up until the 7.0 release earlier this year. Seeing as Darkmatter has moved on to his next project, I figured now was a good a time as any to play Warlord Britannia.

While im unsure if id like the game personally (love rome and the like ), as combat doesnt look that satisfying , but the strategy aspect does appeal to me but the combat looks maybe too simple and im not even expecting Mount and Blade style here, the attack animations just dont look particularly satisfying but ive not really seen end game content by this point.
But i am very glad to hear the dev is actually continuing development and listening to feedback, god knows we need more of those
The combat is a bit on the simplistic side, but I feel like that is because the strategic layer was the dev's focus. For a first project it could be a hell of a lot worse. I do hope there are some improvements to combat in the future but I can live with it being functional.
