Chinese Guys Try NYC's Worst Rated Chinese Restaurant

- So I brought my Chinese friend and a Chinese stranger we found on the subway in NYC to try the absolute WORST rated American Chinese restaurant in NYC, as judged by Yelp (1 star review!). The result was pretty epic. We got all the American Chinese food classics like lo mein, egg drop soup, sweet and sour soup, kung pao chicken, and of course, General Tso’s chicken. Totally different from authentic Chinese food but still nice in its own way - right??? Until we came here!

What a small world, the ‘stranger’ in this video was a random teammate while I was playing CSGO matchmaking 4 years ago, then we added each other and played together.

I remember one time that I go to a Chinese restaurant and it smelled like garbage, I order some chow mein noodles with chicken and believe me that everything taste exactly like that place odor. It tasted like garbage, so I understand the guy that wrote that in the review.

You gotta go around downtown on a weekend day and scope out the places where there are huge Chinese families or students are eating. Place where you have to ask for an English menu, that have BBQ chickens and pork and duck hanging at a butcher station. The higher the turnover and the more Chinese speaking the better.
I love Xiaoma friend, he is the best sidekick ever. The facial expressions are priceless, the fact that he knows what is about to happen and still does it anyway is hilarious.
I think I went to the worst Chinese restaurant in America. It’s in Etowah Tennessee and I don’t think a real Chinese person worked there at all. Dude... they served pizza...

One of my friend's mom lives in Benton...I'm surprised an Asian place could make it in Etowah...makes sense why they have to have pizza.
I found it quite humoristic with the guy in the back just chowing it down like nobody's business

It's not really how they look; it's how it is cooked and tastes.
Most American Chinese food looks the same but some can taste absolutely awful and some can taste insanely good.
I think the reason for this is the quality of ingredients, how they are cooked, and if they cook it fresh to order.

I’ve often wondered what was authentic and what was made up with the dishes here. My in-laws live in Flushing, and I hope everything I’ve eaten was authentic. So good!

That wall sticker (not wallpaper) is pretty popular here with small businesses here in Southeast Asia, instead of painting walls they just cover it with these brick-style stickers. Some even put it upside down so that the shadow is above the brick. Of course, Chinese shops sell them cheap.
