That phrase where you say painting progression isn't like a curve going up but instead up and down. I agree. Except when you progress your bedt gets better and your worst also gets better! Like being able to paint your worst now is way better than your worst a year ago

This was pretty based bro :)
Also, regarding 13:42 mixing the Army Painter snow material with clear drying white wood glue will give a nice "slurry" effect once it dries up, perfect for shallow snow that's been smushed and pushed aside from the surface by feet, tracks etc.
For a more opaque effect (for settled snow or deep layers of snow). either mix some white paint into the wooden glue or mix the Army Painter Snow up with Vallejo "Foam/Snow Water Effects".

i found that giving the snow a very thin blue wash ends up looking really good since it leaves that bright white from the effect but puts that artsy blue glow into the recesses of which there are tons

Since January started I feel like I've watched at least 3 videos a day from you, and just realized I wasn't subscribed right now. So fixed that, thank you for all the content thats helping me explore getting into minis hobby. I'm taking a lot from your videos for my goals with learning the hobby. I right now have minis from Crisis Protocol and Age of Sigmar, but you've given so many useful tips and tricks. Keep up the great work, and with learning from you and others I hope to be able to enter a minis painting competition later this year. Keep up the great work, and thank you for all the content!

You can use a bit of hairspray on a brush and added to Santa's gun barrel, then add a small bit of cotton to make a cool gunsmoke.
You can use a damp paper towel to remove the smoke when moving it or not displaying it.
(Don't use PVA because it'll build up or squish the cotton when moving the mini in a case).

I'm probably late so this comment won't get seen, but I usually use Blue Stuff or Oymaru to make one sided molds of stuff I like to use for basing, like halves of barrels, shields, partially buried bones and other random bits which I then cast in UV resin. It's cost effective and allows me to copy parts from things like toys and other collectibles that I might not want to destroy.

I used milliput to make a collosal cast turret for my baneblade, (as the original turret had been partly converted and wasn't looking great, and I wanted to give it a really impressive main gun, because I'm all about that) i like milliput as it is comparatively cheap, grips well and sculpts well, and can be sanded back for nice results.

Not sure if you have videos on it already, but I'm in desperate need of how to do swamp and tropical jungle type bases and terrain for my homebrew Necron dynasty. I would love to see your take on these and what good materials would be good to use. I know for sure that moss will play a factor but I need to see how it can be applied on bases and models to see if it would actually look cool (like draping it over a model like cloak or wrapped around legs if emerging from a swamp, etc.).
