- Why I cancelled my adobe subscription.
I've been unhappy for quite some time with how they treat their customers. This recent IP rights issue is the final straw that caused me to finally cancel after years of using their software.

I also switched! Been using them for 18+ years. Had affinity stuff since 2020 but havent switched until now
I stopped using it when they switched from buy software to rent it.
I cancelled mine too and bought the Affinity suite. I'm never going back.
I just did it too....
As Baby Gambino says "this IS America"
I’ll give that like button a quick tap and view it twice if it mentions leaving Adobe!
Adobe's subscription model is a complete scam.
This is why is torrent their products
we are all leaving adobe : )
Pirate Adobe wouldn't be problem
@@arocomisgamusclademork1603 yeach... but the more people switch to using soemthing else the faster adobe start to lose its users and so the might start doing something beside AI and interface changes...
It's important to vote with your wallet, especially when it comes to cutthroats like Adobe. Yet, I'm bamboozled that you jump from one horrendous sub straight to another. Comparing the functions, that Canva sub sounds even more outrageous than a Photoshop sub. Why not give Affinity a shot? Granted, they've sold out as well, but at this point they're still the best alternative out there.
I used Canva as an example because it's a platform I've personally been using for the past year.
It's really easy to use, has great templates and is perfect for what I need (basic thumbnail editing).
I hadn't heard of Affinity until this week.
It looks very promising, I think I'm going to make the switch over to their software fairly soon.
@@techwithdavidolding Gotcha. Affinity is the real deal (for now) and I heard they just started offering a 6-month trial period. Definitely worth checking out.
Photoshop to canva is a massive downgrade on my part. Just pirate photoshop and cut off its network access.
adobe is amazing.. I am sticking with them
I wish people cared about government over-reach as much as they care about Adobe over-reach.
If they did, we would live in a world that is 10x better than today's world.
The irony of the government suing a private company for unfair practises is beyond rich - like the pot calling the kettle black.
So true.
You'll probably find people do care but it comes down to perceived circle of influence.
It's much easier to cancel a subscription service like Adobe in protest.
It's much harder to opt out of government overreach like mass survelience, infinite money printing, etc
